Weeeeeeee

It's been a long time coming, but Super Mario Bros. 3 finally has a release date for the North American Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console services.

Nintendo of America has confirmed that the classic NES game will launch on April 17th, priced at $4.99. Regarded by many Mario fans as one of the best entries in the whole series, Mario's third major outing on 8-bit hardware sold like cakes that are exceedingly hot when it launched more than 20 years ago. It's so good in fact that we probably don't need to review it — you'll just buy it regardless — but we will anyway, because we're dutiful like that.

As well as delivering this joyous news, Nintendo of America also revealed its release lineup for Game Boy Advance titles on the Wii U Virtual Console. As expected, the games are the same as those being released in Europe.
