I am a video game fanatic, especially when it comes to Nintendo. I'm currently attending college in San Francisco. I absolutely love my Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, best handheld and console so far and by a LOT!

I can see this very helpful especially to me. Rather than paying the full price of a game on release day, I can slowly pay off the full price a little bit at a time. Since I'm a college student it gets expensive and this is the perfect way for me to buy games. It's just my opinion though.

I wish the Wii U had N64 virtual console. I'd like to get Mario Golf but it's Wii only! I am very sad, I love the Mario Golf games :(

EDIT: I don't have a classic controller so I can't play it on Wii Mode on the Wii U so it's "no buy with coins" for me.

Alpha2797 commented on Target Offers Free $50 Gift Card With Mario & ...:

Aww, I just got a Wii U last month. I would've liked to get a $50 gift card so that I'd be able to get Super Mario 3D World...I'd gladly pay only $10 for that game. Oh well, even without the gift card the Wii U is worth it! I've been wanting to get a Wii U since early last year and I was almost able to afford one too but the Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS Bundle was too tempting. (My original 3DS messed up too so it was the perfect time to get a new 3DS) :P

Then I had no money for the Wii U anymore because I started college but I got one for my birthday instead and I'm glad! Non Wii U owners, I recommend purchasing one because it's worth it especially with Mario Kart 8 coming out soon.

True, people could buy a GBA and the game from some source. But having GBA games available on the Wii U is an extra incentive that may convince those tempted on whether a Wii U is worth it or not to get a Wii U. But I do see your side of the theory and I hadn't thought of that. Good point.

@WesCash
I have a theory. What if the reason Nintendo is planning to release GBA and DS games only on Wii U's virtual console is to get people to buy a Wii U? I remember reading an earlier comment saying something along the lines of "Am I going to have to buy a Wii U to play these games?" This might be Nintendo's thought process at the moment. "People who want these virtual console games have to convert over to Wii U as well. I already have a Wii U so looks like I'm buying them for Wii U. I hope they don't take up too much space.

NOTE: This is just a thought of mine, my personal opinion.

Anyone know how long it takes for a digital version of issue #1 to arrive in my email? I'm curious.

Will be subscribing for year 2 once I get more money. I'm so glad that Nintendo Force is here to keep the spirit of Nintendo Power alive!

Alpha2797 commented on Review: Tappingo (3DS eShop):

I've gotten it and I will say that it's fun and worth the small price tag of $2.99. I'm about 20 puzzles in with somewhere between 20-30 minutes of gameplay so far. And those were just the first 20. I've still got over 80 left! It's really easy to learn the rules. It looked difficult to learn whenever I saw videos of Tappingo but it's fairly easy to learn. I'd recommend this game for those willing to spend about $3.

@accc I agree with you completely. It deserves your score of 8. It could've been more polished.

I'm a digital-only gamer when it comes to the 3DS and PC. When it comes to consoles such as the PS3 and Wii U, it's retail unless if the download is cheaper and if I have the necessary memory on my storage device (hard drive).

I'm curious about something. Does anyone know what happens if a yearly subscription expires and there's currently Pokemon in your online Poke-Bank? Are they permanently lost or are they inaccessible until you renew your subscription?

I want to download RE: MERCS. I have a retail copy and want to transfer my save file to the download version so that I can always have it with me. However, will I be able to transfer the save file because the save file cannot be deleted from the retail version and I am worried that I will not be able to transfer it over. I must know before I re-purchase it digitally.

Alpha2797 commented on Review: Skylanders SWAP Force (Wii U):

What happened to Spyro? I've never played a Skylanders game before, but wasn't he the main character in the first Skylanders game? Has Spyro finally been wiped off the face of the earth? Don't get me wrong though, I LOVE Spyro games, just not the recent ones...

@SCAR392

The only other Fire Emblem game I'm familiar with is The Sacred Stones for the GBA. Awakening is SO much better than the Sacred Stones. They're both the same genre, a tactical rpg. In Awakening, there's a casual mode where your characters will not die upon defeat. You can try the demo as well if you want to compare and contrast. The demo has 2 or 3 levels and you can choose between a couple levels of difficulty.

EDIT: I have 10 hours of gameplay on Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones and I have 50 hours on Fire Emblem Awakening. I could've had more for Awakening, but other games such as Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, PMD: Gates to Infinity, and Animal Crossing have caught my attention.

@OldMan-Tech

I don't remember if I did a survey for it, I'll have to check. I wasn't expecting a price drop for the digital version so I'm ok with $50, as for preorder bonuses, I won't be able to get the game until late July/early August, therefore, I unfortunately can't get any bonuses.
