You befriended me too so I can share the blame on that, Jax ;)

I have never been married but I know enough unhappy married men to notice that they cannot do anything without permission, or paying the consequences later. So I think that quoting the great Hank Williams "I'll be a bachelor till I die".

This review needz moar @rjejr :)

I am not into strategy so I will most likely skip it. But it seems the devs polished it and they are charging for it. Like the artists of old who could charge more for a painting as they got better and more popular. Interesting.

@rjejr

Something to consider from your Dragons comparison. Can SB be considered a licensed game tied in this game to a show, and as most licensed games, expected to be a poor cash in? Wayforward is very hit and miss with their games, and even their licensed games suffer because of the deadlines and stuff. While Shantae always get stellar reception and reviews.

I know it is not an excuse to release a mess of a game, but is AC Unity diluting the AC IP because of also being a glitch paradise? And when you have Sonic games getting meh reviews since a decade or so, then maybe there is not a lot to worry about for Sega.

I have both Tappingo games but never finished them. I usually play like one puzzle at a time, as they tend to be a bit long. Still a lot of puzzles for the asking price, so I won't complain.

Oh here we go with the code begging again.

Sounds great but like @rjejr I think this is not for me. I can deal with hard games, but masochistic ones are a different thing. As you get older you start to value your time more, as to waste it doing things all over again because you made a mistake and there are no checkpoints to ease the pain.

I can learn from my mistakes, I don't need a teacher with a wooden stick to hit me on the head every time I make a mistake.

If I am not mistaken the missions are single player, so it depends on if you are going to be online a lot or not. I think you will. ;)

For the review, I guess the Testfires are a good testing ground, although probably NL will wait for their verdict. The thing is that if they will give amiibo with the review copies, or they will skip that too.

@rjejr

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't De Blob a single player game with multiplayer modes added while Splatoon is the opposite?

I skipped that game because it relied so heavily in colour I would not be able to play it without help. Since Splatoon only uses two colours at a time and they differ so much (there is even help for color blind) I welcome it with open arms.

sinalefa commented on Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the ...:

Atlus is a funny case because several of their 3DS games are worth $10 more than the normal 3DS game. So they start charging a lot and then do sales, not always of the same games.

I may not be the only one who played through a great indie game like Steamworld Dig, Armillo, Scram Kitty or Gunman Clive and said "I wish it was more expensive so I can support the dev with more money". At least I try to do word of mouth so other people try them.

I don't mind paying "a lot" if I feel I will like the game. But impulse purchasing a game I may not like nor play just to support a dev won't happen for $20.

@rjejr

All is right with the world, then :) I was just worried because we were 35+comments in.

I still believe more indie devs should use the first week discount. Armillo and Flowerworks did, and Spin the Bottle kinda did too. That secures early sales and goodwill, while keeping the game at their intended price point later on.

I know you are not into Pure Xbox, but one of the editors published an article yesterday about some indies making it harder than necessary for themselves to advertise their games. That early discount is another way of promoting your game.

@rjejr

Never played that one, but wasn't that Dinosaur Planet-turned-Starfox, and thus not a Starfox spin off from the start?

And to be honest, I have spent more time with HW than with any full fledged Zelda game. More fun is debatable, but there are so many characters and things to unlock. I love playing as Midna, Zant, Ghirahim. As I have said before, I would love an amiibo line for it. Long haired Ganondorf is just too awesome.

@rjejr @aaronsullivan

Actually a spin off made by P* for Metroid could work, now that rjejr mentioned HW. Again, Revengeance was a spin off on Metal Gear and it worked. As HW to Zelda U, it could be like an appetizer for a full fledged Metroid installment, probably by a Western dev since the game would be more geared to Western audiences.

And if Retro is that dev, I would love to see a non first person Metroid from them. Either 2D or third person.

I hope so. Hard to get excited watching so little, but still better than the Last Guardian ;)

Platinum tweeted an image of Bayonetta in her Samus outfit (from the Wii U port) so of course the first thought/rumour/hope/pipe dream is that P* may be working on a new Metroid to be shown at E3.

Got this on Saturday, on the recommendation of @JaxonH. I have all previous games and love them, and I love how (and no one seems to mention this enough) that you get to play as different characters here, including the great Papa Blox. Mostly an aesthetic change, but adding the new mechanic it adds freshness to the franchise.

@Captain_Gonru

Game is like 2.5 GB on the eShop. People who don't have an HD should have one by now, specially if they got the Basic Set.

Wait until release to see how much there is on the disc. Wait for a price drop or buy used. It will be easier to wait for a Nintendo game to lower price than to have a GOTY edition.

It is Nintendo, you will always complain ;)

And I moved the router closer to the Wii U so I managed to play the third round, pretty solid connection, just one disconnect. I have Jax (whenever he actually accepts my invite), so I would be very happy to include you too.

I actually ordered an ethernet adapter just for this so my internet will improve in the future.

I really don't get you. You complain if they don't do anything on long weekend, and you complain when they do? Really?

I do agree just one hour seems like not enough, but the game will be less than a week away. I am happy to play it again.

@rjejr

The way I see it Splatoon is not too much by itself, only compared to the European price.

It also kinda surprises me that for as much as you wanted this one, the price tag held you back. You are even willing to budge if they cut $5.

If Wii U had gift giving, I know what I would give you in July. An eShop card for $20 works for you? ;)

@sketchturner

Yes, you may pause and skip the cutscenes. Personally I love them as they make the levels feel like episodes of the cartoon. Even when nearing 100 years old, Alan Young is delightful as Unca Scrooge.

I would have liked to see any of the MH games discounted. Does anyone know if the Raid mode on Revelations can be played Splitscreen on Wii U?
