The game had Waluigi in it and it was cancelled. Sounds good to me ;)

But in all seriousness, it looks odd, as if Next Level could not decide what they wanted to do and just mixed the two sports. I am still eager to see what their next project is.

@JaxonH

Yes, they have that in common. Although I still see the gathering in MH as a means to an end (making hunting equipment/supplies), while in AC is like an end on itself, with the only ultimate goal in completing your bug/fossil collection. In MH I go like grocery shopping while in AC I go like "Wow! I was missing this bug!"

As has been said before, both are chores, but somehow AC made chores a fun thing.

@JaxonH

I respectfully disagree there. I see AC and MH at opposite ends of the spectrum.

AC is a very relaxing experience, while MH's fights can be very stressful. In MH you spend a lot of time just preparing for a fight and then engaging the monster, while in AC you can play a few minutes here and there and still feeling like you are making progress. And finally, anyone can play AC while to play MH you need to have a lot of hand to eye coordination, quick reflexes, tons of patience, etc.

I guess Capcom is only going for what is popular in Japan, and saleswise AC is one of Nintendo's best selling 3DS games.

He is referring to a post he made showing his disagreement with Nintendo Life's review of Brickblast U. If you click on his profile, the link will show in the first comment he made, around two months after Meyer's review went live.

sinalefa commented on Developer Profile: Masahiro Sakurai:

I put Sakurai up there with Kamiya in my favorite developer's list, and slightly below Miyamoto. Both of them are very passionate about their games, are not huge fans of sequels but their games are good enough to have sequels made by someone else, and they cram their games with depth and content so you can play them for months.

I do hope after Smash U is finished that Nintendo allows him to take a very much needed and deserved vacation so he can take good care of himself and his arms.

No wonder he used a fly for his character. They tend to stick around crap.

And I hate that statement "You buy crappy games". Trying to blame us for what the masses buy. I am not getting this cynical cash in rip off, and I refuse to support this developer in the future.

Nice to hear it supports Classic and that the costumes are there from the start. Any excuse to replay this masterpiece is welcome.

Protip: get the Moon of Maha Kahla as soon as you can. my first playthrough would have been a lot easier with it.

sinalefa commented on The GameCube is 13 Years Old:

I never had a Gamecube, so my memories of it would be when I got my Wii to play Brawl and I took the chance to hunt down some GCN games for it: Luigi's Mansion, Soul Calibur II, Viewtiful Joe 2 and REmake. I borrowed Pikmin 1, Melee and Sunshine too.

Other games like Metroid Prime, RE4 and Twilight Princess I played them via the updated Wii versions

@rjejr

I don't see why they cannot release both games on the same day, as they are each system's Holiday game and system seller.

But still I won't believe this until we have official confirmation from Nintendo. Only thing I know is that Smash U should not miss Black Friday.

And if their big holiday game does not have a date, it is no wonder Captain Toad does not have one either.

@Anthracks

After seeing the huge support for Mighty No 9, games of this kind are not as endangered as it seems, specially with Capcom ignoring Megaman.

Besides, I have a limited budget and I can't support each and every dev. I got Siesta Fiesta, Scram Kitty, Armillo, Guacamelee, etc. on day 1 to support them.

@rjejr

When the old models are long forgotten you say? Well, the kid will ask for a 3DS and they will get him a new 3DS because the old models are long out of print and worth a lot to collectors. Plus the kid will have a lot of time to do his homework, probably seeing a "non new" 3DS with as much curiosity as we look at a phat DS now, as belonging to a museum.

The clearance kid may have a tougher time, but as in your video he would pick it up the floor and still have fun because it is his new 3DS.

I think Nintendo is doing the "new" in the logo match the font for amiibo to set it apart.

@rjejr

I did think on that. On how many people dying for a demo did not get it, while the resident NL demo hater gets the email and ends up sharing demos with other people. And I won't lie, I was very excited when I checked my phone and the email was there.

Glad to hear Valor's story had a happy ending.

sinalefa commented on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Expo Banner Raises Q...:

Of course it is a mistake. Capcom does not want to know anything about the Wii U anymore and we are all aware of that.

And after their "Revelaitons" typo and the Okami cover with the IGN watermark, is not like Capcom is particularly careful with this stuff.

I know you get Mighty Gunvolt if you get this before Nov. 28th, so since I got a Mighty Gunvolt code for backing Mighty No 9, then I think I can wait for a sale on this one and still get the whole package. I have a ton of games as is anyway so I can wait.

@rjejr

Well, if this finally shuts you up about when dual Gamepad support is coming, I am all for it ;)

Anyway, the biggest hurdle is using the second stick and their extra button when you click them. In this case the New 3DS would clearly have the advantage, as it already has 4 triggers and a second stick built in, plus Amiibo.

And I disagree about the name. There is always someone complaining about weird non descript names confusing consumers, and now they nail it IMO (as this is indeed a NEW 3DS) and people still complain? If the old models are cheaper, they will stay there, but for me the logical thing would be to replace them. Yet DSi never replaced DS Lite.

sinalefa commented on Talking Point: The Super Smash Bros. 3DS Demo ...:

I got the email and I already distributed the extra codes among my friends, because "I fight for my friends" ;)

Anyway, there were a ton of 1 time users who appeared out of nowhere just to try to get a code here yesterday and are nowhere to be found now. Just check the two related articles and their near 2,000 comments.

In any case, everyone will get the demo on due time. I never got the Tomodachi one, and that one is open to everyone now. I usually am not too hot on demos but I like this one because there is no way I can live off this instead of getting the game, my main gripe with demos.

As with W101, this confirms the purchase of a game I knew I would always get, but the early access does not hurt.

@rjejr

I am not sure how many hours I have logged in, but I know I am like in the beginning of the third world. The cave levels are particularly hard. The game is cute and I don't mind brutal difficulty most of the time IF I like the gameplay.

About Wooden, I haven't taken the plunge. All the metacritic reviews point to an average game, with a metascore of 63. If you are gonna get a hard game for that price, add two bucks and get Scram Kitty, my eShop GOTY. Or get Armillo, even if you don't like the graphics.

For a moment I thought they would make a new game together, like Affordable Space Adventures. Maybe in the future?

And now that I got a new HD for my Wii U, there is no excuse for not downloading Stick it to the Man.

@JellySplat

I said I loved the first game, but hated the demo for the second one. Sorry if the wording was not clear at first.

I know the games are very similar, but again I feel the hold triggers zigzag way too much now, specially in the Field stages, so it is very easy to miss inputs that were a piece of cake in the first game.
