I just hope Iwata's plan of giving their best customers cheaper prices replaces the DDP seamlessly, but that is me wishful thinking about it. I know you want something akin to PS+, but I don't want to see indies there. I have heard the "that game looks cool but I will wait until it is free with PS+" tons of times and I don't think it helps them, and they are the ones who could use the most support.

Unite Love for the Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3!

But besides WWHD, the oldest of the games shown is 3D World, so they seem to be focusing on recent games. And Zelda, even as a remake, is a greater brand than Pikmin and W101.

Overall I feel it is a very organized and to the point reel, with the titles clearly shown and a neverending stream of gameplay. So happy of being a Wii U owner, now more than I was since launch.

For me that is the perfect hook. Kids will recognize that blonde guy as the one who also appears in Smash, the rest of us will have all the Link we can handle and his amiibo could be used in 2 games right away.

Shinen lost my purchase of Jett Rocket II because they had a demo. Normally I would have taken the game but got the demo and had enough. Raby Laby 3 had no demo, so I took the plunge. Demos encourage people to be cheap and not spend.

I was planning to buy a 2DS to complete the "family", and they show a new member.

That extra circle pad looks so small, and I hope the so called extra power won't split the userbase in a significant way. Yet the no ghosting on 3D images sounds way too awesome.

I know who can scratch a date off his calendar now...

I am happy with this. 31st would fit like a glove, but let's face it, why should we have to wait an extra week? This and The Evil Within will give me a gritty October.

@rjejr

When I got the MK8 DLC on Wednesday, I saw that the expected release date for the first pack is End of November 2014. That made me think Smash U could/should release by then, as having Link makes it the perfect reference. And of course Amiibo.

I know this is an amazing week, and I kinda feel bad for complaining, but wasn't Tappingo 2 hitting today?

Getting Gunvolt, and I may get a second copy of SSFIV if the price is good. Too bad I lack an HD, or I would have gotten that MH discount.

I cannot vote since that poll is missing the options "I plan to get all three" and the one that I would have chosen "I plan to pick one of the other two, but not sure which one yet". I see having three consoles as way too expensive, specially when two of those are so similar.

In any case, Wii U will definitely be my primary console, with the other for third party games and the exclusives that appeal to me the most, hence the reason I haven't decided yet.

@IceClimbers

I plan to get it day 1, as I did with W101, but I did not know there was an Operation for it. That would have fit the latter as a glove, since its stages are called Operations. Thankfully Nintendo is including an enhanced port of the first one, so you get a lot of bang for your buck.

sinalefa commented on Poll: Which Is The Best Super Mario Platformer?:

I usually have a favorite for 2D and 3D. When both are put together, I will give the edge to 3D.

So Super Mario Galaxy 2 it is. So varied and creative, even after thinking that I saw it all in Galaxy 1. Plus I love that New Game Plus that instead of just making the same game harder actually changed its focus.

@Boxmonkey

I disagree. Dedicated gamers would have a Wii U and something else to get the best out of both worlds, so they won't care about third party games not coming to Wii U.

Besides, you make it sound as if Nintendo won't release more games than the ones they have already announced.

I find it funny that people are expecting MK8 to sell millions of Wii U in one month, when the franchise has always been a slow burn approach. 3DS did not improve overnight and with a single "killer app", so why should Wii U?

As for Just Dance, I will just pass.

I really need to support these guys with my money. I was wondering what happened to Kickbeat.

You always see big developers making excuses while the small studios are very supportive and enthusiastic, despite having it harder because of lower budgets. Way to go guys!

sinalefa commented on Check Out Project Colour Park - Heading to Wii...:

@Sean_Aaron @JamesCoote

I do agree that a part of the population should not be ignored. The other thing is that there are different kind or degrees of colour blindness, so shapes usually work the best. A game like Peggle put symbols on the hard to see pegs to distinguish them.

With that said, if a game is not colour blind friendly, there is a huge chance I won't even take the plunge, instead of taking the risk and see if maybe that particular game won't affect me. While seeing a colour blind mode will help us to feel included, thus encouraging a purchase because of goodwill.

I hope you can gather feedback from colour blind people (if I can help you in any way please let me know) to work the best solution.

Based on that video, Notch is cheating. He did not even pour the whole bucket over his head.

It would be loads of fun to see Reggie doing this. And he should nominate Peter Moore and Yves Guillemot for their unwavering support ;)

@Drac_Mazoku

Never saw this comment till now, sorry.

For me the double jump failed to register sometimes, even with that (admittedly confusing) graphic. Returning to the game after the update, controls feel a lot more responsive now.

It seems based on feedback he changed the double jump to something more akin to Bike Rider, and it makes the game a lot more enjoyable. I don't regret the purchase anymore so kudos to CoderChild for that.
