Darthziggy commented on Super Mario Bros. 3 Is Warping To North Americ...:

Totally not excited for the $8 price tag, and also the fact that I have half of these on my 3DS from the Ambassador Program already. That said, I'll probably get both versions of Mario 3 (Wii U at the $1 discount, too).

Also, SNES Yoshi's Island >>>>> GBA version. Ugh.

Darthziggy commented on Review: Ice Hockey (Wii U eShop / NES):

@brewsky Don't forget about the friction-less puck code, too. Take a slap shot wide and watch it go bouncing around the ice without slowing down. Crazy!
I loved this game as a kid, played so many "Olympic" tournaments against the computer. Granted I haven't booted it up in a while, and I agree with others that $5 is way too much nowadays, but it's still great fun.

Darthziggy commented on Nintendo Download: 6th March (North America):

Runner 2 is fun so far, but I already got it for my 360 when it was on sale for half that price a few weeks ago. If you only have a Wii U, it's worth checking out though. Fun music and addictive gameplay.

Darthziggy commented on Soapbox: Nintendo Soundtracks - Where Are They?:

On more than one occasion I've asked the staff at Nintendo World in NYC if they sold the music/remixes they play overhead on disc, and I've been told most of it is just online stuff that the company doles out for the store. I would but those versions in a heartbeat, in addition to official copies. Good points!

Darthziggy commented on Satoru Iwata Confirms That DS Games Are Coming...:

I wrote about this on another site just before the Wii U was released. I really hope that they do it with the GamePad as the bottom screen and the TV as the top, though. If it's all on the GamePad all the time, that wouldn't really be worth it. Especially with the plethora of DS/3DS systems in my house.

Darthziggy commented on Nintendo's Expanded List of Million Selling Ga...:

Don't forget that here in the US, Mario Kart Wii comes bundled with the new Wii Mini. Though it's not a huge seller, it still caught a lot of attention at holiday time with the $99 price tag.
Heck, if you break it down: Wii remote = $40, nunchuck = $20, MK Wii = $40... you're basically getting the system for free.
