Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Has Been Rated For Switch 2

Yalloo

Still no word on a playable Link ... bit scary. I can't imagine this game without him.

@Sylamp Yeah, I loved both games, but the gameplay feels completely different in the feedback and how the enemies react. Took me a while to get used to AoC before falling madly in love with it. Maybe give DE another try ...

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

I'm about to use a key to enter a palace, after finding all the collectibles. Before I continue though I'd like to clear the DLC with Radjen. I will be left with the Divine Trials and I like to get all my amulets to level +1. I'm sitting at 92.5%.

Tetris Effect Connected

Participating in the weekly ritual + full moon as usual.

Mario Kart World

Trying to get the third star I'm missing in three of the Knockout Tours.

Happy gaming! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: Nintendo Announces 'Global Jam' Demo Event For Switch 2 Online Members

Yalloo

@Anti-Matter Arms is such a fun game, pretty underrated too I would say.

I will certainly participate in this online demo if I'm available, but just like Splatoon, I'm affraid that's the only thing I'll be playing about that game. I remember the input lag was a bit too much to my taste during the S2 experience. Otherwise it gives a nice feeling with the HD rumble 2.

Re: Vocaloid Sensation Hatsune Miku Scores A Switch eShop Sequel Later This Month

Yalloo

@rvcolem1 You should definitely check out the Wikipedia pages. It's all very interesting concepts. To sum it up, it's kind of like an open source music and music video project. They're using the vocaloid technology and have created virtual idols. Anybody can use them to make their own music without real singers or instruments.

If you like rythm games, definitely check out Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix, which there is a demo for. I would love additional DLCs for this game btw ... instead of this sequel crossover... but also glad to see it has its audience.

@TheSaneInsanity LMAO!! XD

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza, Like Mario Kart World, Was Initially Planned For Switch 1

Yalloo

@The_Nintend_Pedant Oh, and Galaxy 3 would be such a dream, even though some of the newer 3D Marios are really really cool and fun, Galaxy 1 & 2 will I think remain my favourites for a long time.

I'm affraid that the format is a little bit outdated by now to make a new entry but who knows, maybe they come up with a more modern way to make #3. And that would be awesome.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza, Like Mario Kart World, Was Initially Planned For Switch 1

Yalloo

@The_Nintend_Pedant You know, I always played a lot of 1st party Nintendo games on all of my consoles too, but thinking about it, there was also always more or less 3rd party games depending on the generation. Never as many as on Switch though. And I think the more videogames we play, the more we need to find other games to play. That's only a good thing right, a bit like if you really like an author and never read anybody else's books ... or worst just read the one book your whole life XD
But it can also be difficult to find what will suit your taste. Sometimes a streak of disappointments can lead to being jaded or less interested in the medium.

I appreciate the variety in your top 10 and I'm sure you've spent hundreds of hours having lots of fun.
Switch 2 is only just getting started but I see the same potential. Like I mentioned, just MK World and MP4 are assured to give me unforgettable experiences.

I've made a sort of top 10 below, games that I have created unforgettable memories with, spent countless hours playing and will hold forever dear. I've cheated a little bit with ports, games that are not exclusives, and groups, but it will give you a very clear picture, and I have played all these on my sweet Switch (1!). Also, I am unable to order them.

  • Bayonetta 1, 2 & 3
  • TotK & BotW
  • MK8D
  • Tetris 99
  • ARMS
  • Hollow Knight
  • Taiko no Tatsujin
  • Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix
  • Hyrule Warriors DE & AoC
  • Shredder's Revenge

It's more exercise than really gaming, but Ring Fit Adventure is also high up there.

I loved Cuphead too, and want to go for another playthrough if I can ever find the time, I'm sure I can grab a few more achievements there. Probably not all of them though, I loved the challenge in that game. Aside from the gorgeous graphics and music of course.

I have been also very disappointed in Mario Tennis and Switch Sports, after playing the demos, really too bad, but yeah.. there's luckily plenty of other games to replace them. I've learned that you can't always get what you expect. And sometimes the (wrong/misplaced) expectations are actually what ruin the fun.

Nice topic to exchange on. Don't hesitate to tag me when you have more games to share, I love to read what people are passionate about and the great experiences that amazing games can bring.

Play on brother! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'

Yalloo

@TheDragonDAFan It is childish because the T&Cs clearly detail exactly what those games are ... cashgrabs. Expecting anything else is imo naive and childish.

I'm not pushing back anything, people are free to have opinions, however childish these are. And instead of spending time making their own videogame exactly how they'd like it to be, investing in marketing campaigns to gather players and create communities to make their game popular, some childish people are wasting their time with such opinions and petitions.
The companies who make these games are businesses who do this for profit, they're not charity organizations. And demanding that such games should be made available whatever ways they are not made for is, again imo, absolutely childish.
That they got an answer is actually really nice of Nintendo, Sega and co. ... addressing the children saying "come on now, be reasonable, let me explain how the world really works".

Demanding more laws and regulations from useless politicians, that's another childish thing to do imo.

Finally, this is in no way "supposed to help me". I try as much as I can to see things for what they really are. And when I'm not, I like to be reminded/explained exactly what is what.

Re: "It Will Have A Chilling Effect On Game Design" - EU Group Responds To 'Stop Killing Games'

Yalloo

First time I read about this petition and it's been signed by over one million gamers? Wow!
I usually don't read terms and conditions but I can only imagine that for those online games T&Cs clearly detail that the game will only be provided for however long the company wants to. And whenever they pull the plug it's over. Now if you want to play those games in the first place, and furthermore throw money at them, well ... you know who you are XD
What a childish representation of gamers worlwide, I can't be surprised it's lead by a youtuber.

Re: "It's Heartbreaking" - The Pokรฉmon Company Tech VP Joins Industry In Criticising Microsoft Layoffs

Yalloo

Having such a negative impact on their surroundings tells me to avoid giving money to MS as much as possible. Don't we all live on the same planet?? At the end of the day what happens when you're super rich, all alone and nobody left to play with ... what's the point ๐Ÿ˜ต What a sad bunch over there.

I hope all the people who lost their job will find better ones ๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th July)

Yalloo

  • Prince of Persia : The Lost Crown: I've started this during the week, and so far it is promising, maybe just a bit slow to get started. I've reached Artaban's practice/challenges.
  • Tetris Effect Connected: going to participate in the weekend ritual + full moon, as usual ..
  • Mario Kart World: just got my last gold trophy @ Knockout Tour, and will now try to reach 3 stars overall, while unlocking the costumes for all the guys.

Happy gaming! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

@Friendly Oh man, reading you enjoying the game makes me want to dive right back in. But I've already played way too much of it and I think I should take a little break to make sure I enjoy the next one when it's coming out this winter. Have fun!

Re: Romero Games Hit With Layoffs Following Microsoft Xbox Cuts

Yalloo

@axelhander Well ... they have never got rid of thousands of employees, probably even alltogether. And not even when the company was doing bad. Even less when they're ultra profitable. In that sense they are not as bad.
Now, Nintendo is a company and they run a business. And they're no saint.

Re: Romero Games Hit With Layoffs Following Microsoft Xbox Cuts

Yalloo

@axelhander I get your point. But letting go of thousands of employees when your business makes more money than ever is not something I accept or support.

I never said Nintendo were saints. I merely refered to MS as a dumb and greedy bully that has a negative impact on their surroundings.

Re: Furukawa's Defence Of Game-Key Cards Ain't All That Convincing

Yalloo

Let me repeat this here in case some sharholders are wondering. I buy most of my games in a proper physical format. I'm not buying game-key cards or code-in-a-box. If a game is only available digitally and takes too much space, I'm not buying it.
I've already skipped a bunch of games on Switch and I have a huge backlog. In 2025 you can't make an effort for your customers? I won't play your game. To each their own.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th June)

Yalloo

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity: I've got two missions left in Apocalyptic mode which are The Siege of Fort Hateno and Survival of the Fittest. Before I go for these, I want to bring all my weapons to level 30 and I'm missing a Sheikah slate for Zelda and a soup ladle for Link, so I'm replaying through some missions to collect weapons for fusing.

Tetris 99: participating in the Maximus Cup even though I already have the 4 themes that are up for grabs. This game is so chill compared to how competitive Effect can get.

Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the weekly ritual & full moon.

Mario Kart World: still going for gold + 3 stars in all the cups. Man this game is still as unfair as it's always been! XD

Happy gaming! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: Drag X Drive Switch 2 eShop Price Revealed

Yalloo

I participated in a local multiplayer mode at the Switch 2 experience ... so that must be included in the game.

Mouse controls felt extremely satisfying in MP4, but in this one there was an input lag ... maybe just requires some time to get used to but it was obviously noticeable unfortunately.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st June)

Yalloo

Age of Calamity: doing the vicious monsters and side quests level 81+ in Apocalyptic difficulty.
I've skipped the Fort Hateno mission for now, I remember just how tight it was already in Very Hard. I think this will be my final challenge.

Mario Kart World: going for 3 stars in 150cc. Love the music, but somehow not a fan that they "re-assigned" old tunes to tracks, I thought they were playing randomly across the circuits.
Still having a lot of fun with the game.

Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the weekly ritual + full moon as usual.

Happy gaming!! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: PS5 Hit 'Stellar Blade' Is Reportedly In Consideration For The Switch 2

Yalloo

@AstroTheGamosian Thanks for the detailed impressions. Too bad there's not more to the story or characters, but a nice hack'n'slash gameplay can make for a nice game, even more so if the soundtrack is that good.
I will keep an eye out for it, in case it comes to Switch 2. In the meantime I've got many other games to play.
The way you referenced Samus in Other M cracked me up btw!

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

Yalloo

@TrueBlueYoshi Sure, that would be one thing. Another thing would be larger (affordable) game cards. I buy the "main" games I play physically. I'm fine with having one SD card in the system, but not multiple. If I get a Switch 2 upgrade or collector edition down the line, that will be 2 SD cards, but that's it. Archiving and re-downloading games is not something I want to bother with. I'm OK with downloading some of my games, but most of them I need physically.

Re: PS5 Hit 'Stellar Blade' Is Reportedly In Consideration For The Switch 2

Yalloo

@AstroTheGamosian @Ramen756 Thanks for your inputs! ๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

I loved many things in Nier Automata, but the gameplay was a bit too RPG for my taste.
I guess I'll have to watch a video or two before I buy the physical when and if it comes. Better I adjust my expectations ... Bayonetta is one of the best games I've ever played, so maybe that's setting the bar a bit too high to start with ๐Ÿ˜
