@D-Star92 Missed you in the Tetris Effect top 10 this week! I got used to checking your rank and couldn't find you all the way till 100 😬 Wish you all the best managing the depression that's haunting you. And I hope that all the lovely games you're playing can help.
@TYRANACLES Just sharing my thoughts. I also loved playing through Lost Crown. The DLC on the other hand, however cheap that was, was quite the let down. Completely different vibe from the main game and new mechanics that I didn't really enjoy. The memorials on the otherhand (free update) proved very challenging and added a lot of playtime to my save file.
Lol .. a game where the gameplay sucks and is pointless should never be a game, maybe a film or a book instead. And the port is so bad it's unplayable ... hum! Thank you so very much for this review. Very useful.
I have just found a saving spot in Ender Magnolia (which I am in love with) and now I hope to find the time to participate quickly in the weekly ritual @ Tetris Effect Connected.
It's my bday today and we've got all sorts of lovely plans for the weekend.
Hope you all have a great time too! Much love from Amsterdam! ✌🏻🧡🎮
And how about we make every film a comedy or a drama or a documentary based on what the majority wants? You're entitled to dislike the choices and the difficulty but don't forget that there are thousands of other games out there ... why not go and give these other games a try instead of complain how this one isn't for you ..? If you like the artstyle go watch a video walkthrough, if you like the music listen to the soundtrack and if you dislike the gameplay then play something else. Aren't these enough options for you already?
Patapon: I had been told there was a lot of grinding in this game and that is very very true. Making slow progress, always going back to previous missions. It's fun in between other games.
Ender Magnolia: art style is stunning, the colours are gorgeous and the music absolutely lovely. The difficulty is slowly picking up, which is perfect. Story is very cliché but I really like the vibe and the little character side stories, it's very manga-like. Plenty of improvements coming from the previous game, which I enjoyed very much already.
ARMS: was curious to see the updates on Switch 2 ... haven't seen any differences 🤭 still a super fun game. I'm trying to play ranked matches but there doesn't seem to be anybody online. Doing Grand Prix while searching for an opponent ... maybe during the weekend.
Tetris Effect Connected: I will participate in the Focus ritual and hope to unlock a new event avatar. The community reached the goal last weekend, I'm sure this one too.
Kirby Air Riders Global Test Ride: going to give this one a try. Not very interested if I have to be honest, but I really enjoyed some of the tracks they've added to Nintendo Music.
Seeing the price of these DLCs, I find that quite the slap in the face for the early adopters of the first physical edition.
I will sell mine and maybe somewhere down the line get an eventual "definitive" physical edition. Pretty disappointed, and makes me lose interest in the whole thing. In the end it's just a documentary and some really old most uninteresting games we've already played.
But I should add: "happy for everybody looking forward to these additions".
Wow. That's more details on the play activity than I've ever seen! There's still room for improvements, but this is already amazing! Been hoping for something like this for years.
@Morsel Thx! So far I'm really liking it, it's so cute and engaging, I can't stop smiling and shaking my head along 😬 What else is in your top 10? Which other rythm games have you enjoyed on Switch? Looking forward to Patapon 2 after I'm done with this one, and I also have Cyberpunk 2077 sitting in my backlog.
Fast Fusion: I've got 4 time trials left to beat in Hypersonic. I've realized that I cannot optimize my driving any further, and I'm still 5+ seconds behind so I must miss a shortcut or a jump or something. I've decided to look up some youtube tutorials this weekend and get it over with. Seeing these cars crash and fall off track is starting to really piss me off.
Ender Magnolia: just started my new main game yesterday, and just like the previous one the music is already very much inspired. Also looks really good.
Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the Adventurous ritual, hoping we get to reach the goal this weekend, unlike the last one ...
Patapon: I want to start this one later today, really curious about the concept, and love me a good rythm game ... already have the music stuck in my head after watching trailers.
I loved the previous two games and can't get enough despite 800+h on DE and 300h on AoC. Pre-ordered and absolutely looking forward to it. It will sit in my backlog for a little while but I'm sure early 2026 I will be digging in! I loved the art direction and can't wait for the new music to go along with it. Bring it on!
I am working this weekend, but I will go ahead with my current games when I have the time:
Fast Fusion: trying to beat the developer's times in time trials.
Tails of Iron: I need to get the gas mask before I can continue with the main story and stop the frogs invasion.
Tetris Effect Connected: the weekend events over the next 10 weeks normallly unlock avatars that I am still missing. I will be participating and scoring as many points as I can.
I like how sharp the game looks, and they're showcasing different ways to play it. Mouse mode is certainly super cool with the demo I played of MP4. Don't know about a longer session, but absolutely looking forward to this.
It's interesting to have all sorts of analysts sharing all sorts of reporting and whatnot ... now just the physical charts don't make much sense to look at, but here we've got some games just physical and some others both physical and digital ... makes no sense whatsoever. So SMG1+2 would still be at the top, but just look at the period ... it's September. Oh yeah, until 4th October ...
After reaching 100% in Championship mode, I'm working my way through the time trials and beating the developer's times @ Fast Fusion.
I'm trying to beat level 424 @ Krimson, which is diabolical. Hopefully I'm not too far from the end of the game.
I don't know how far I am in Tails of Iron, but I keep making progress. It's a bit too much RPG for my taste but I'm enjoying it enough that I still want to play it. I'm just out of the crypts after returning there to beat a zombie rat king, and looking for side quests to be able to gather 30 coins to continue with the main story.
I will participate in the Relax weekend ritual at Tetris Effect Connected, as usual.
I'm not getting this bundle, I already have that exact same Switch 2 and I don't play Pokemon games. I did pre-order the physical edition for my kid, which should arrive in the mail later today. Hope she will enjoy it. Getting the MKW bundle made sense since MK is a game I can play in between other games, so it's handy to have it downloaded. A game like Pokemon on the other hand, if I would play it, would be better to own physically.
I am playing Tails of Iron, which I'm nicely getting used to, the pace, the combat.. Beautiful art direction btw, love the looks!
I will participate in the weekend ritual @ Tetris Effect Connected and hope to get this week's event avatar. Shoutout to @D-Star92 for reaching #1 last Sunday!!
I'm also going for 1st rank in all cups of the Championship in Hypersonic league @ Fast Fusion.
Wow. This certainly looks beautiful and with its own unique personality. Music goes perfectly along too. Hope they bring a demo and a proper physical. I'm definitely adding this to my list.
I have over 120 Switch games and just the 5 Switch 2 games, most of them physical. I usually pre-order these at whatever price they're asking. The digital ones I almost always wait for a good discount (min 50% off). Just today I've pre-ordered Yooka Replaylee and Worldless (LRG). I'm definitely one of the 12+, over here in Europe.
I've got this pre-ordered for my Switch, and low expectations to go with it. There was some really good moments and certainly a unique atmosphere in the previous games, but it's quite far from a mind-blowing experience, imo. Not a surprise that this third entry gets a 6, that's what I'm used to with these games. They're fun, but it's good that they keep things short.
I never knew Deemo Reborn came out on Switch... I might have to check it out. I had a great time with the original game. This one seems a bit different though.
@Umbrius Funny, I also finished Nikoderiko during the week. And I can tell you that the final "final" battle only gets you to 101%, and I'm still missing the equivalent of playing through the game three times to get all the unlockables. What a disappointment! Hope that you had more fun with it than I did...
@hisownsidekick Thanks! So they're making a remake in three parts. Part one is already out, part two is coming and there will be a conclusion coming in the future as well. Is there lots more new content since it will be a total of 3 games, and the original was just the one game? Are they incorporating all sorts of side stories or just developing the main story arcs ..?
Never played an FF game and been wondering. So they made #7 30 years ago. Then they made a remake of that one. And now they're making a new trilogy of that remake? Are they adding content/stories to it?
@Blast16 4.5 Gb. And I got the Japanese import to make sure I had the physical version 😵💫 I usually pre-order games and don't mind paying full price but this feels like a slap in the face.
So happy to read that AoI is running smoothly on S2, I mean that's the least that they could do but still, even more hyped for this one than I already was!!
Thanks for the impressions.
I've got both this and LN3 pre-ordered, the latter on the OG Switch since I collect physical games.
Apparently the only way to get this week's event avatar will be next year the last weekend of September, if we manage to reach the community goal then ... Ah well 😵🎮
@D-Star92 Hope you'll feel better soon and that games will be a good distraction in the meantime. Just coming back from work and noticed that we didn't reach the community goal @ Tetris Effect Connected this weekend. I never saw this before. I even ended #13 which is a sign that not many people were playing. Have you ever seen that before?
@MeloMan May I ask how is Berserk Boy doing in your hands? Just received my physical copy and it will probably sit in the backlog for a while before I start it, but I was curious which game(s) it mostly reminds you of.
@Zuljaras Oh wow ... I haven't played HK in so long that I confuse charms for geos ... 😬 Maybe I should play it again, Silksong's physical is another long way away!
@Zuljaras Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations and lovely physical editions, always makes this feature so much more lively. Love the little details in the currency laying on the ground in the HK statuette! And the colours are spot on! Have fun with the game 🧡🎮
@Ooyah I always enjoy reading your messages which come accross as so positive! They also tell me that you're enjoying all of your systems like nobody else, so if you're not worth it, then most of us here also aren't ... and I'm sure I am too XD Game on!!
This week I've played through Arranger, A Role-Puzzling Adventure and Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked!. Both were short and sweet.
I'm now playing through Nikoderiko, starting world 3.
Game looks nice but it's definitely meant for younger audiences. Loading times are incredibly long and the game installed a 5.5 Gb update while it's listed as 6.9 Gb on the eShop ... taking so long to release a physical edition was a bad joke imo.
Other than that it's a copy pasted version of a mix of DKC Return / Crash Bandicoot / Rayman, and a pretty obvious one at that.
But again, looks good, sounds nice, runs well.
I will also participate in the weekly ritual @ Tetris Effect Connected. Need that event avatar!
I want to wrap up a couple of P-Switch missions in MK World then move on to Fast Fusion.
I think I'll have a first look at Krimson as well somewhere in between. I've been in need of my rythm game fix lately.
Adding to all the lovely comments above mine ... I feel insulted as a games collector. "So you like gifts? .. Here's an empty box, oh it's got shiny paper and ribbons ... but nothing in it". That's atop demanding for me to buy the game's actual indispensable storage space. Or spend my time archiving/re-downloading.
Whatever the reasons they're coming up with, I still find it a poor decision from Nintendo to have initiated this without an alternative.
Ah yes, I came accross this one by accident while pre-ordering MP4 and HW3, so I pre-ordered it as well.
I remember having a good time with the first one in the early days of the OG Switch. Nothing mind blowing but was fun for sure. This one seems more varied, it will be a nice palate cleanser! Also nice to see it highlighted on NL.
@Bunkerneath Probably one of the few games I didn't 100%, but I did complete it and that was enough.
I remember the demo for #2 was the only part actually enjoyed of the game. So I won't be playing this one. I've pre-ordered the physical edition for Switch... so I will see what it's worth, going in with no expectations. Just glad the developers changed.

I'd buy Ninja Gaiden 4 in a heartbeat ... unless it's on a game key card, then I'd wait before it goes on a very very deep sale.
Anything else from Microsoft ...? I don't think so.

I haven't played the game yet, but I'd say a new mode would be nice, something roguelite would be a cool change of pace for example.

Re: Retro-Styled Isometric Puzzler 'Lumo 2' Dimension-Shifts Its Way Onto Switch This October
Re: Little Nightmares III 'Necropolis Demo' Now Available On Switch And Switch 2
I remember the demo for #2 was the only part actually enjoyed of the game. So I won't be playing this one. I've pre-ordered the physical edition for Switch... so I will see what it's worth, going in with no expectations. Just glad the developers changed.
