Looks like a cool idea to have kind of mix and match circuit parts throughout races ... I'd be affraid to get tired of them much quicker though since they just keep on coming back anytime.
Unfortunately never been a fan of Sonic and the characters don't appeal to me either, so I probably won't be trying this anyways.
I almost didn't get the Switch OLED thinking the difference wouldn't be that big. I have completely changed my mind since I've gotten one. The difference is like night and day. Don't want to go back. Got an OLED TV since then and I can't go back either.
If the Switch 2 isn't OLED, they will need some seriously amazing games to convince me to buy it before the OLED upgrade comes along.
WB games can announce whatever they want ... I have no interests in giving them my money. Knight is the only game out over a 100 that I didn't see through on Switch, its performance was an insult. Reading that they managed to lose 200 millions trying to make a videogame, what a sad bunch. How is that even possible?!
@Axecon Blue Fire starts off a bit weird with an old-school Zelda-like dungeon and no maps. But right after that in turns into a tough 3D platformer. There's also a free DLC with lots of extra challenging levels. I had a blast with it. Maybe try to get over the first 1h30 of the game and it goes straight to the point!
I've just reached the 200% in DKC Returns HD which was pretty fun and also challenging in mirror mode, I just won't be playing the time attacks as I'm sure that it would drive me insane.
I've also completed Melatonin to the 100%, which was super satisfying. I've very much enjoyed my time with this little rythm game.
I'm now going to start Stray, participate in the Tetris Effect Connected weekend ritual, and I'll play Avicii Invector as well as it has been a while and I will need my rythm game fix.
@Discostew Thanks for sharing. Good that you could pinpoint the issue and resolve it. Would be a shame not to be able to download anything on your Switch anymore. Hope you'll have fun with it!
@burndive You will see for yourself, but long load times is a lie. I mean, it could always be faster of course, but when I don't bother timing them, it's not too long even for an impatient person like me ๐
Slightly related, I've just read the linked article about Inky Pen and I had the following question, I'm posting my comment here as well in case someone knows:
Bit late to the party here ... but before I'd pay for a service I really like to know exactly what they have. Now looking at my favourite story ever Battle Angel Alita, it seems like they have all three stories, including The Last Order and Mars Chronicles ... but searching their website reveals they only have the first volumes. Can that be? If so ... pretty lame to start a story and not get the ending.

I had already played this on the Wii years ago and finally decided to get it. I've finished the game, collected all of the K-O-N-G letters and puzzle pieces, and now I'm replaying it in mirror mode. It's a lot of fun, looks and sounds great, I would definitely recommend it to platformer fans. Trying the demo will certainly give you a good idea of exactly what the game is. Very inventive and fun. Now the price is one of a good game. Double-dipping is another story ...
@Discostew There was a similar issue months back after a system update. Maybe check if you've got the last update?
I'm not voting since I haven't played the games yet ... but in my backlog I have Ender Magnolia, Arranger, and Animal Well. When they will bring us physical editions, I will also get Tails of Iron 2 and Tetris Forever.
@-wc- Really nice of you to share a different opinion. I almost got interested in this game, I like a challenge and I love when they try new things ... but at the same time I've already learned that my taste in games is just completely different from that of the reviewer. I was just listening to the soundtrack, and as much as I appreciate them using acoustic guitars, it certainly is nothing that sounds amazing to my ears, some sort of whining pop-y full of filters almost atmospheric music. Tells me enough about the game already. Curious about your opinion when you give it another go ... but just reading about laggy controls makes me lose interest instantly.
Good thing there are different kinds of games for different tastes in any ways. Wouldn't want to sound too negative ๐ Reviews can be very subjective.
I have completed both Echoes of Wisdom and Schim this week, which were both fine, I had a good time.
I've started Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and will mix that up with some more Melatonin and Tetris Effect Connected.
Happy gaming everyone! โ๐ป๐งก๐ฎ
Oh - Just seeing on the eShop Robobeat, a new roguelike rythm shooter game ... anybody's played it? Includes music from BPM ... which makes me want to jump right back into that one too ๐ธ๐ค๐ป
@mazzel Yeah, there's some of that for sure, and I think I also got them confused with Dead Cells and The Rogue Prince of Persia somehow ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ต You know, using the backbone of a successful game to create a similar game based on a famous IP (with Evil Empire being the developer) ..... Anyways, happy you were there to set things straight! ๐๐ป I had to go and look it up to understand how I mixed this up ๐
@tylerryan79 Sorry, I haven't heard anything, that's why I ordered mine already through Play-Asia. But they sometimes wait to see how the game sells before they make physical versions.
Ender Lillies did get a regular retail release, at least here in the Netherlands, that's how I got mine a year or so ago, and I heard that it was a re-release then. I can only imagine the same will happen with Ender Magnolia ... but don't take my word for it.
Happy the physical is coming in a couple of months like they mentioned last year ... Unfortunately it seems they can't deliver to the Netherlands ... ? Will wait and try again another time. How strange.
@Falien I couldn't agree more! They released the previous game twice here in Europe apparently, and it was quite popular (over 1.5 million sold) ... so chances are with a bit of patience they will do the same for this one.
I've ordered the physical version off Play-Asia, and it should get on its way soon. I really enjoyed my time with Ender Lillies, especially the combat and the soundtrack, which I listen to regularly. I have high hopes for this sequel as well, and according to the review, I won't be disappointed ๐๐ป
@cosmograph Thank you for your kind words! Believe it or not, I almost didn't get the game purely based on the art direction ... and when I started it, I never planned to go this far either. But I had a great time with it and I'm really glad they made all those little challenges, and I'm sure I will keep on playing with it for years to come. Hopefully they come up with something as good on Switch 2!
Melatonin: need to get perfect scores at one last night's mix (hard) and both morning's mixes.
Echoes of Wisdom: doing some side-quests before going to the Eternal Forest.
Tetris Effect Connected: going to participate in the weekly community event.
Also wanted to mention that after 400+ hours playing the game, 230+ hours of body moving, 58,000 kcal and roughly 650 km, I've unlocked the final title in Ring Fit Adventure: Ring Fit Grand Master. I'll focus on the titles in Fitness Circuit for now ... before I start another playthrough ?!
@Ladasta Funny, I thought the same after watching the trailer. I get big Bayonetta 3 and Astral Chain vibes from the art direction/colors used.
Certainly something I'll keep an eye on, should it come to Switch 2. Happy P* has been busy with what looks like a cool project. Just not one of their IPs, which is too bad. Still waiting to hear about what the 15 years of Bayonetta celebrations will bring to the table.
Nope, I have unfortunately not tried this Tetris collection yet, as I am still waiting on the physical edition ... I'll let them finalize the game properly first though!
@cosmograph Congrats on beating the game! And congrats on beating it again and again ๐ I remember I was disappointed the third time as I had gotten used to starting over and I imagined it would be endless... That actually pushed me to move to the custom mode, which is more to-the-point. Have fun with reading and weight training!
@JS_Comics Have you already played Caveman Ninja and Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics? Both SNES, same genre as DKC. I had fun playing them again on NSO.
@Toastmaster Thank you ๐๐ป I'm aware of what's included in the DLCs. I just find the 10-15 EUR a bit much for such old games and a bunch of documentaries. Not that I am not interested ... just not at this price point. More likely around the 5 EUR. I hoped that they would distribute both DLCs for free to the adopters of the initial Atari 50, since they're selling the "expanded" version for the same price I bought the original. I got Atari 50 last year, but still haven't checked it out ... maybe when the DLCs get a significant price drop, then I can enjoy it all in one go.

Alana is selling this one much better than the trailer itself ๐ I loved the music, but I'd be curious how it actually plays. Keeping my eyes open for this one, thanks for mentioning it. Hoping for a demo and a physical if it gets good.
I'll be in the minority saying this it seems, but we know it's a remake/remaster/port, and should anyone care to see a longer list of names scroll on-screen they can boot up the original game and/or Google the developers. It's not like it's a secret or the names are suddenly unavailable anywhere.
Yes, Nintendo could add the list, but let's be honest, what added-value does that bring to the credits compared to the message "based on the original work of..."? It actually brings the focus to the teams who actually "made" this version.
SMB Wonder: I've been playing through one world each day, and today is World 5. Super fun game, feels like it's even more fun on this second playthrough somehow.
Melatonin: slowly going for the perfect scores where I feel it's doable, man this game has a really tight timing!
Just Shapes And Beats: almost ready to put this one down, but I'd still like to get one of each sort of coins for some strange reason ...
Tetris Effect Connected: I've been addicted to the 1989 theme recently and will participate in the community goal this weekend, I'd better start collecting the community badges before people stop playing this one online.
Zelda: EoW: I've decided to start this one this weekend finally, don't want to leave my Zelda Switch get all dusty after I put TotK to rest last month.
Like others have pointed out, there's less physical games available so obviously it can't sell more. I buy most of my games physical, also have to wait several years sometimes before they become available, some need to be imported, and some games I skip just because there is no physical version. What a crazy world we live in. I like my games in a box on my shelf, is that too much to ask? XD
I live in the Netherlands, just fyi, so the situation seems the same as in the UK.

I did get the physical edition of Animal Well but haven't gotten to playing it yet. Heard it deserves all the awards and praises it can get.

I haven't played or bought any of the other mentioned games.
