Re: Poll: Which Switch 2 Accessories Are You Picking Up At Launch?

Yalloo

I got the bundle, an express 256Gb card and the case+screen protection.

I would have loved a bigger card, the pro controller and the wheels ... but that seemed unreasonable at the time. I kind of regret now, but I will be playing with that thing for years, so there's plenty of time to spend more money down the road.

Waiting to see what the games situation will be .... price and storage wise.
I want to keep collecting physical games. Please don't ruin this for me. Digital has no justifications whatsoever besides greed. Don't make the world a worst place than it really needs to be.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th April)

Yalloo

@cosmograph I completely understand your situation. I only have one daughter and she's already 10, but when she was younger it was the same and I don't dare to think how it would be with two of them! Travelling with children (even older) is also a completely different experience.
Children are a blessing so you've got that to enjoy for now, and there will surely come a time when you'll be able to make some old dreams come true.
I'm French, I live in Amsterdam, and one thing I absolutely love about this place is getting the visit of people from all over the world, so I certainly hope you'll be able to come too one day!
Let's keep playing all those cool games in the meantime and exchanging on this lovely site ... and who knows we end up meeting in the future.
Much love brother โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th April)

Yalloo

@cosmograph Thanks for your recommendation, I was a bit worried about that too, since it's usually quite quick movements, and all sorts of them too. I'm going to try it with small / light weights first and see how that goes, I've already ordered them anyways, and if it's not a good idea, I can still use them for something else...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th April)

Yalloo

@cosmograph Tbh, I know none of the names you've mentioned! But you've made me curious so I'll look them up XD
Why don't you plan a trip here, in the summer it's certainly a great place to be at, and there are tons of festivals all over the place. Additionally the city offers lots of great activities for tourists and everybody is so friendly, you'd have a great time!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th April)

Yalloo

@cosmograph Even though I really don't enjoy weight training, I'm still doing it sometimes. As I'm trying to bulk up just a little bit these days, I thought to get wrists and ankles weights so I would actually play through Fitness Circuit instead of some old fashion weight training.
It would probably not be that handy with Ring Fit, but still, curious if you've already tried that?

Metroid Dread was really fun, and the more time goes by, the more I'm convinced I'll end up going for another playthrough at some point...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (26th April)

This weekend I am playing:

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, after doing all of the side quests, I am going through story mode again, currently on chapter 5.

Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the weekly ritual + full moon as usual...

Happy gaming! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

We're celebrating Kingsday here in the Netherlands today and I'm wishing a happy national day to all the Dutch gamers reading this feature!

Re: Marvelous USA Confirms Its Switch 2 Physical Releases Will Contain The "Full Game"

Yalloo

I was looking forward to Daemon x Machina and now even more. I'd still like to try a demo first though, the first game's demo was so disapppointing that I didn't end up actually getting the game. Hope this new one will have enough improvements to make it worth it. At least so far it does look awesome.

Other than that, I'm affraid I'll be skipping a bunch of games if we can't get a proper physical edition for them.

Re: Exclusive: Shin'en Talks 'Fast Fusion' On Switch 2, Reveals First-Look Trailer

Yalloo

Nice interview. Love how those guys are to-the-point!

I had a blast with Fast Racing Neo and Fast RMX was the only game I had to switch with Breath of the Wild. Downloading this one as soon as I've got my Switch 2 and MK World is installed.
No particular interest in the Fusion mechanic, but good to know where the game is getting its name from. And sure, why not. Just really into the futuristic races. I remember that the online was weird, but I've got Mario Kart for that. So it really doesn't matter.

Re: "Frustrating" Nintendo Cert Process Causes Last-Minute Switch Delay For 'Old Skies'

Yalloo

@Qwiff Tbf I haven't watched the video. And I'm sorry you will have to wait a bit longer to play this game.

I am simply reacting to the communication presented in this article.

In general I think it's best to focus on the positive side of things, so their game is ready, it's almost published on Switch and it's still released as planned on other fronts. Why the negativity about Nintendo's certifying process? I just find it unnecessary.

I totally agree with your point on visibility.

Re: Tired Of Pro Controller Charge Times? The Switch 2 Model Is A Huge Step Up

Yalloo

That's good to read. I hate leaving things plugged in longer than necessary so I don't let my pro controllers recharge during the night. And it always shocks my how long it takes. On the other hand, they do have quite a long autonomy.

I pre-ordered the Switch 2 bundle, together with a protection screen and case, and an express SD card, but I didn't give in the new controller, seemed way overpriced ... but now I'm regretting it. At least I'll be able to use the three regular ones I already have in the meantime ...
Also happy to read the D pad is improved, playing Tetris with the current ones is simply impossible.

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Switch 2 Rating Spotted Online

Yalloo

@NorrinRadd Glad you could enjoy it! I didn't have the same experience unfortunately, and didn't bother giving it another try either.
Obviously I missed the background of the previous games to be able to follow the story. But it was mostly the gameplay that didn't click with me, the whole pressing one button triggers running jumping and catching alltogether ...
But to each their own, and I hope you'll enjoy the Switch 2's Shadow as well!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th April)

Yalloo

I've started Hitman: Blood Money, I'm at the first mission in Chile after the tutorial.

I'm also knee deep in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, going through all of the side quests and raising my weapons a little further.

And I will participate in the ritual + full moon @ Tetris Effect Connected.

Happy gaming!! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th April)

Yalloo

I've been playing Gravity Circuit, which I enjoy a lot. It's a Mega Man wannabe, and I've reached the point where you're fighting the same 8 bosses again (two icons are greyed out so maybe only just 6 of them in normal mode?). I'm going for finishing the game without using boosters / improvements but if that proves too difficult I'll just cave in and make things more doable for myself. So far I've managed to beat 3 of them, and of course they come in a random order every time.

Tetris Effect Connected is my other go-to game in the weekends to help reach the community goal and participate in the full moon ritual.

The new Hyrule Warriors game made me get back into Age of Calamity .. I'm playing some missions in between on my dedicated Zelda Switch. ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"

Yalloo

@GoldenSunRM Go for it! For having reached the 100% myself in the Definitive Edition during the lockdown years, I can tell you that even then I didn't get enough. Absolutely loved that game, AoC has a different feel (and I didn't care for the Divine Beasts missions) but I'm very much looking forward to this new game. Just really hope Link will be playable too, and it doesn't matter if Nintendo considers this canon or not... the stories are always so romantic, it's just lovely.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th April)

Yalloo

@cosmograph Tropical Freeze is definitely fun. I found it a bit short somehow, or maybe it's just a bit easier than Returns, which I did a couple of weeks back.
I'm also curious about the level of challenge in Bananza ... since you can break everything! I'm not 100% sold on the gameplay just yet, need to see more.

Trombone Champs is a big disappointment indeed. The gameplay is just ridiculous, the song selection is mostly anthems and bad versions of old classics, it sounds horrible and is imo mostly unplayable. There's also this layer of "humor" that is just not funny. I'm sure even with drinks and friends there is nothing there to be enjoyed. Just a cash grab novelty. But hey, I was curious ...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th April)

Yalloo

Hey happy gamers,

Curious about what you are all playing.
Here are my gaming plans for the weekend:

  • World of Goo 2: reached 100% and now going for the flags, I need one per level and I've got 6 levels to go. It's a cool game but the controls are abysmal.
  • DKC Tropical Freeze: I've also reached 100% there but seeing that I've spent more time this week with Goo, I kinda feel like I want more out of this one. So I'll still try hard mode.
  • Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the weekend ritual + full moon, that's become my weekly addiction.
  • Trombone Champs: this one is pretty bad, I'll do another couple of rounds just to confirm. It's been a long time since I've played such a lame game on my sweet Switch. Good thing is... all the other games feel so good in comparison!

Happy gaming! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?

Yalloo

I was very disappointed. I can't vote, I think it's the wrong poll, but I wouldn't rate it more than 5.

So the user manual is interactive - ok - but sold separately?
Mario Kart open world didn't catch my interest, I'd say it's missing the point of the whole MK games.
No new 3D Mario?
A new Hyrule Warriors but not before winter, and without Link?
Selling the same games with upgrades? And what kind of upgrades too ...
A new button ... for chat functionality ... I may be too old but having to listen to people talk while I'm playing my games is a big no, and having them in from of my screen, are you kidding!
Now Elden Ring, Duskbloods and Hitman that's OK. But Silksong not coming to Switch??

Anyways, I'll sleep on it and check out the Treehouses in the coming days. But right now I almost want to cancel my invite for the handson experience in May. Let's see ....

Re: Nintendo Drops Teaser Video For The Switch 2's 'C' Button

Yalloo

I'm thinking mouse-mode is automatically recognized by the controller when they're turned around and placed on a surface, I mean that just cannot be any other way.

Chat certainly doesn't require a dedicated button, how lame would that be to make this such a special feature. I personally could not care less for such an option.

Cast? When you dock your console and start playing on the TV directly.. also doesn't make sense.

Connecting to an old Switch, I couldn't believe Nintendo would go back to this area where you can what ... see a map while you're playing and the game's not even on pause?!

I think if they're still teasing this one day ahead of the presentation, it is the little trick they've got left up their sleeve and I'm really curious about what it could be ... I can't think of anything, but I really hope that it will be a cool Switch 2 gimmick!

Re: Has The Xbox Switch 2 Rival Just Revealed Its True Form?

Yalloo

This is surely not the site to advertise this. But interesting to know none the less.

I think MS should better focus on what they're good at. They've got a nice OS for PCs and laptops and a great Office suite.
Anything else, buying anything like a rich spoiled child feels completely misplaced from my perspective. And I don't wish them any success in those areas.

They can keep selling their games on Switch though, I have enjoyed the Ori and Cuphead games. Again unfortunately, something they've purchased, not made themselves.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th March)

Yalloo

This weekend I am playing:

  • DKC Tropical Freeze: last time I checked I had reached 76%, now going through world 6. It's fun, a bit frustrating at times but a really good platformer, always feels fresh. I'm hoping there's a mirror mode just like in Returns, that will be a good excuse to go through all of the levels one more time after I'm done.
  • Tetris Effect Connected: participating in the weekend ritual + full moon, as usual, unlocking my little icons. During matchmaking I usually come back to this page to read more of what everybody else is playing!
  • Trombone Champs: I plan to check this one out, see if it can be a fun rythm game or if the novelty wears off quickly.

Happy gaming!! โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿงก๐ŸŽฎ
