I'm not getting this till I play it. But I'm affraid the motion controls offering will be too weak for me to have fun with it. I guess I would prefer a nicely polished Wii Sports game with solo content and mini games like the first one.

I really like that NL is doing those random reviews round-up, helps put things into perspective. I would have loved for the whole game to be motion-control compatible ... that's what I really enjoy with tennis videogames. If they do a games-on-trial with this one I'll try it, but I'll likely won't enjoy much of it.

I downloaded the demo but haven't played through it yet. If it's nice and the final game reviews well ... I'll wait for LRG or another company to get me a proper physical. I read the full game was 16 Go ... so what's the excuse for the GKC this time?

@Ooyah Videogames are great to keep you distracted. At the same time, it's such a nice hobby, right!

Rythm games can be very engaging if the gameplay clicks with you indeed. But it ends with each song, so it's up to you to go for another one ... and another one ... of course XD

There's usually a demo, I'm thinking of Taiko no Tatusjin or the Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix, and there is quite some variety in the music, but I'd say metal is a minority of tracks in those.

Metal songs, have a look at BPM: Bullets Per Minutes, it's a FPS rythm game, music is awesome. There's also Krimson, which is a rythm platformer. It's challenging. And industrial music, you must play Thumper, it's such a unique experience.

@Ooyah Hey, how are you? I was wondering if you had any interests at all in rythm games? It's so good for the brains and you can discover artists you wouldn't normally come across.

I missed the direct and haven't watch a trailer either, but I'll check the demo based on the "combat-heavy" statement in the article. The doll-like character however seems almost creepy to me. Let's see ..

Yoshi holds a very dear place in my heart. His stand-alone games are not always the best so I'm a bit scared but I will be getting this one anyways.

All other games will largely depend if we can get a proper physical edition ... looking at you Elden Ring 😵

@Kilroy I've ordered three times from LRG, everytime the games were shipped and delivered ahead of time. Maybe I was just lucky or maybe they're taking their customers a bit more seriously nowadays ... Just sharing.

I pre-ordered this and absolutely looking forward to playing it. I'm so happy with all the amazing games sitting in my backlog. Glad they shipped so many copies, would love to see the split physical/digital. Looking forward to more entries in the HW series!

@LightSpirit Your message reminded me of what I said back when I was playing CB4: "Never again will I play a Crash game" XD I did spend almost 100h on it and unlocking all of the trophies, just not the super gem (or whatever it was) when you collect everything in one run. It's super frustrating and the levels are very long ... but I can tell you all is forgiven now and I'm ready for CB5 😬

I remember playing a Rayman game on the computer as a child, but not sure if that's the one. There were levels in clouds and music notes. It was colourful and well-detailed, even though very pixelated.
Not sure if I'd like to replay such a game nowadays, must be more frustrating than fun, and I don't particularly feel nostalgia for it either. That, and all the bad news around Unisoft that became the new normal for them ... let's see if it releases and in which state.

Still missing some cards and character descriptions to unlock in Have A Nice Death, and a bunch of side quests and NCPD scanner alerts in Cyberpunk 2077 before I want to complete the DLC extension and the main storyline.

That's what I am playing at the moment.

I really fell in love with CP2077, just too bad the performance is not as good as overall mentioned. It runs OK for sure, but there is imo lots of room for improvement.
However the passion that went into making this game is a love letter to videogames. Beautiful!

I wouldn't mind doing a third playthrough of the lovely SMB Wonder game, but I'd like to know how substantial the single player content from the NS2 edition is. No interests in the multiplayer side of the DLC. I will be getting the new Mario Amiibo though.

I'm definitely getting elephant Mario.. never could understand why it didn't exist before now. I wouldn't mind adding the talking flower to my collection but not with Captain Toad stealing the spotlight XD

That P* dropped the ball with Bayonetta 3 is something that hurts to read coming from the great PJ O'Reilly ... but aside from Ninja Gaiden 4, the games I'd love to see on Switch 2 are: Stellar Blade, Sekiro and Lies of Pi.

@the_beaver I think Bayonetta 3 could certainly benefit from an upgrade. But Astral Chains never gets mentioned and I agree with you, it could most certainly benefit from an upgrade as well. Especially with those beautiful visuals, art direction is one of its strong points.

I do still open up the app once in a while, but I admit I find it quite lackluster. Maybe "Nintendo Weekly" would have been more interesting.
I do really enjoy when they're posting concert videos though.

@Angotic Both games have the exact same art direction. Gameplay however is very different. I also got stuck a lot in LA and didn't enjoy its linearity at all. It's imo a game from the past which mechanics are outdated. EoW on the other hand is quite fun but I'd say it doesn't really play like any Zelda games. Most of the time you're just figuring out which echoe you can use to solve a small puzzle/keep going forward. It's fun, it's short, I'd recommend it if that's what you're looking for.

Have been looking forward to this one since the first trailer was released. Now going to wait for a proper physical version. Happy it reviewed so well, thanks.

I've made my peace with it, this feels just like the Battle Angel Alita movie adaptation, not going to watch something that could potentially ruin the source material for me. It is way too valuable.

I believe the NL staff are all professional journalists, so it's up to them to decide what appears on their site and how. Your criticism comes accross as insulting. It's ok to disagree, and luckily we don't have to agree with everything, it's also ok to voice that disagreement, but there is no need to undermine the work of others.

Action is my favourite genre and I've voted for Bayonetta 3 as my favourite game.

The timeline since Switch came out was unexpected and I'm not surprised of all the time spent on these amazing games:

I find it actually sad that all these people (both the scalpers and their customers) don't have anything better to do. Kudos on Legos and Pokemons to take advantage of this. They should have set the prices for those sets even higher! LOL

It's nice that they're still having Amiibo support in games.

I'd like to have an extra pair of joy-cons 2, just in case, and these colours look nice.
Somewhere down the line I'll get these if they haven't come up with something more extravagant then.

Almost pre-ordered the blue and purple multi-use controller from LRG recently and told myself I really did not need it. So I'll try to at least wait a little bit before I get these...

I played the "full NSO" demo of Aces and the motion controls could only be used for one specific game mode (that had no other incentive). I really hope they'd correct this with Fever to make it compatible with all game modes. Should that be the case I'd definitely consider getting it. I don't know of any other tennis games that uses motion controls and I would certainly have fun with that.

In regards to the character roaster I guess that's more than enough, but there's always the risk that everybody's favourite one is missing unless they are all here.

Like others mentioned, seems like the bricks are now going to do the job of the kids ... what will be left to play with? Soon bricks that build themselves too.

Yay! A new theme for Tetris 99 is always great news! The music for this one sounds just perfect, it's nice to get more chilled themes in between the more action-packed ones.

Never played AC, but I really enjoy the other theme and especially the music. Looking forward to adding this one to my collection!

@ryan_nil Yup, you should share your ideas with Aonuma 😅 Better combos would be a plus too.

But the games were really good, and they can't get everything right alltogether .. need to leave some room for improvements for the next ones 😬

@andykara2003 Haven't play this HW game yet, but I would certainly appreciate if the mainline Zelda games would learn from it's responsive combat systems. I've absolutely loved TotK but I thought many times that combat wasn't one of its strong points.

@The_Nintendo_Expat I wouldn't know about the demo, but if you were talking about The Lost Crown, you do not need to sign in a Ubisoft account to play it on Switch.
