It’s kind of a hard question to answer consistently. Between big releases, I kinda just play what I feel like. In fact, I often break from big games to play small ones. Could be a Kirby game, the DKC trilogy, Super Mario Sunshine, Wild Guns Reloaded, Cuphead, Picross e, or something else.

Only once: Death Wind I with Wild Goose. I somehow managed to hold first for around three laps, with explosive ships spawning in front of me constantly. Even hit one of them toward the end, but I recovered my speed and just barely won!

To the editor: The North America subsection is labeled as Japan. You may want to fix that.

On that note, voted for NA. Meta Knight makes it for me.

It’s a shame the balloon plants look worse, but other than that, I’m glad for the glow up! Dark Moon is one of my favorite games period, so I’ll definitely be rebuying this. I homebrewed two 3DSes this year to preserve the ScareScraper experience, and I’m prepared to do the same for my Switch in due time.

This is joyous news! I’ll always prefer the version I grew up with, but this game needs to be experienced by the new, Switching-owning generation.

I’m not overly fond of the aesthetic given the other PM games that share it, but I’ll get used to it.

…I bought them all in March. Oops.
Eh, the 3DS is better as a portable, anyway. It’s harder to take a Switch to a place of work.

Which white box art will you buy this fall: Wonder or SMRPG?

I know people hated it in the NES and SNES catalogs, but I really wish they’d bulk up the list with a bunch of N64 games no one remembers/cares about. That’s part of the fun of NSO to me—getting random stuff like Earthworm Jim 2 and Rygar. Heck, some of them are hidden gems, like Wild Guns and Joe & Mac.

I’d at least like to see Banjo-Tooie and Buck Bumble on the service.

I wonder if Super Mario RPG will have voice acting of any kind?

The overall composition of the Western art is better than the jumble of (admittedly well-drawn) character in the Japanese version. Point goes to West.

Everyone’s talking about the TikTok comment and ignoring his statement that Rhythm Thief will get represented in the game. I feel like the latter is the more important takeaway here.

Torigoth (Day) is possibly the greatest video game song ever made. It’s certainly up there for me.

As for XC3, I don’t get what all the accolades are for. There are a handful of great tunes, but almost every area track in XC1 and 2 was fire. XC3 has Colony 4, and I enjoy the panpipes in Eagus Wilderness, but that’s all I can name offhand.

Haven’t we already heard Riki’s story? Married a woman named Oka, had ten children and adopted an 11th, got into debt, was elected this year’s legendary heropon to receive debt forgiveness, fought a dinobeast with several human friends, and traveled around the world with them? That’s not news to anyone.

Splatoon 1 desperately needs to be preserved on the Switch or the next system. Imagine two years from now, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Nintendo's big new franchise with a completely dead game. I know lots of game franchises have suffered this fate, but Nintendo hasn't really had that problem before.

As I live and breathe... Angel is still alive and kicking. For those who don't know, she wasn't in the original film. She instead appeared toward the end of the TV show and I think in the series finale film, Leroy and Stitch. So in a way, she's a big merchandising rep for the TV series, which I can appreciate. Japan loves Angel, apparently, as do the giftshops in Walt Disney World.

Wish they’d rerelease Qbby worldwide. That’d be sweet.

I might pay attention to Ness, Cloud, and Archer Link. I’ve got more affinity for their respective games than I did back when they released/sold out.

I got the last one at my local GameStop on launch day while being hundreds of miles away using spotty Internet. What’s your excuse?

Would’ve picked Classic Paper Mario if that were an option. Went with DK Country, it’s been almost a decade since Tropical Freeze. Chibi-Robo! is also a fantastic choice, assuming it’s more like the GCN one. I’d be game for a sequel to/remake of Pandora’s Tower if they could get Ganbarion to agree to it.

I like Mega Man, but the series has an inherent problem: The entries are pretty samey, and fans take them for granted pretty quickly. If you make a new one after a long drought, it’s a glorious return! Make a sequel to that and it’s just another Mega Man to throw on the pile.

Don’t believe me? Look at MM9 and 10. 9 was hailed as an event, not so for 10. Fans showered 9 with praise, and they also liked 10 and stuff. Fan enthusiasm was greatly diminished for the very next game, and it showed in sales numbers.

Though I hate to say it, the “once in a blue moon” strategy is the most effective for Mega Man. We’re all hungry for his return, and that’s exactly what Capcom wants.

Never thought I’d see Fiery Blowhog get merchandise, but I’m glad that day has come! I’ll consider importing at least one of these, probably for me bro. He’s a Pikmin fanatic.

Now that you have Square-Enix collaborating on Super Mario RPG, this would be the perfect opportunity for vertical integration. Geno or Mallow in the next booster, please? Maybe amiibo, too?

If you have Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon in your direct, you get a perfect score. If you announce it in the same breath as Super Mario RPG and an original Peach game, you get a double-perfect score. I don’t make the rules, I just adhere to them with a giddy grin on my face!

Must buy, must buy! Dark Moon has been one of my favorite games for a decade now, and I reached floor 101 in endless ScareScraper two days ago. I can’t get enough of it, and I’m stunned they’re actually remastering it! Pleeeease don’t muck with the ScareScraper like in LM3.

-Definitely Splatoon 3’s Side Order and a possible tease for another DLC pack (when you go to Inkopolis, it asks if you want to go to “another city,” and the music in the jukebox is only from Splatoon 1 and 3).
-Kirby is highly possible, be it a main game or spin-off.
-Possibly another high-profile N64/GBA game.
-The remaining Fire Emblem Engage DLC (if they haven’t revealed all of it already, IDR about that game).
-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC for sure.
-Possibly a Noah & Mio amiibo reveal.
-Tears of the Kingdom DLC.
-An indie game that has some Nintendo collab in it.
-A new Mario vs. Donkey Kong, perhaps based more on the GBA game.
-Pikmin 4 obviously, including the night mode.
-A new Animal Crossing game.
-A new game by Good-Feel.
-A remake/reimagining of a forgotten NES or Game Boy game, like The Mysterious Murasame Castle or The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls.
-A remaster of a forgotten Wii game, like Pandora’s Tower or Sin & Punishment: Star Successor.
-sigh A new Paper Mario game.

N/E has a fuller cast running around while J is overall cleaner. I prefer the chaos on N/E, personally.

Got a perfect score thanks to my Zelda marathon last year. Pretty clever throwing in Minish Cap and Oracle of Seasons, since those are more obscure. Zelda the First from The Adventure of Link would’ve stumped people for sure. And of course, there’s The Wand of Gamelon…

Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble is finally rereleased for the first time ever! Go play it—it’s way better than one might expect. The non-HAL devs really went above and beyond on the gimmicks and levels, making them challenging and rewarding. There are even fun Easter eggs to look out for. Seriously, try it!

As for Harvest Moon, I just bought this on Wii U. Guess I coulda saved my money there, huh…

Did anyone here see the episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Jar Jar got a cross-species girlfriend and they have a long, on-screen kiss? That was a crazy episode.

These look dynamite! The lavender one is king, followed by light green. As sweet as these are, I’ll stick with the Eevee Brown and Neon Orange combo I bought at GameStop last year. Don’t you just love finding limited-edition stuff in the pre-owned section?

I already had the Cold Stone Forgotten Land flavor, so I can pass. I’ve never even heard of this company.

@Spider-Kev I just successfully played an online match in Smash for 3DS using the previous firmware. So I think the rest of the 3DS library would work online.

I’ve been keeping busy with Hogwarts Legacy. I just unlocked the Room of Requirement, and have proceeded to plaster one wall with dozens of the same painting, and cover the floor in yellow pumpkins.

May we please have some more GB games, Ninty? It's been ages since you announced Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble was coming back, and I'd like Mole Mania, too.
