I'll never forget stepping into Rogueport, getting mugged, and not reclaiming the coins. That was a great introduction to Mario's RPGs, just like Sunshine was a great introduction to 3D platforming.
I just started playing the original JFG, so this is cool to see! Though perhaps using blue ant enemies in a spiritual successor is a little on the nose...
100%! The article's tagline tripped me up on the first question, making me think it was asking for Samus' home planet in a cheeky way. Once I actually knew what the question was asking, though, I aced the rest. By the way, there are actually 15 games with Metroid in the title. Ever heard of Classic NES Series: Metroid for the GBA?
What if you were playing Braid and he's just like: "ACK, OW, please stop playing. Please! Stop!" You wouldn't want to solve time puzzles anymore! You'd wanna get him a chocolate milk or something!

I voted 2020. There's been very little to look forward to altogether. Xenoblade Def is one of the best games Nintendo has made, but that's because it's mostly just Xenoblade from 2010. There's about nothing on the horizon barring Smash Ultimate DLC, and we don't even know what that'll be. Right now fans are excited about a hypothetical Mario game that might not exist.
2015 had promises of Splatoon, Fire Emblem Fates, the Smash Ballot, Super Mario Maker, and Xenoblade X. 2016 showed us the Switch and gave us Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Kirby: Planet Robobot. 2018 kicked the door down with Smash Ultimate and released the Octo Expansion, in addition to nice Wii U ports. And there's always been a Pokemon game to look think about.
I keep seeing people mention Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash here. I would accept that if those people cared even one bit about it at launch.
If you want to test your Sunshine meddle, play an Only-Hover Nozzle challenge. It makes some stages mighty tough. Others are impossible--you need to use other sprays no less than 16 times over the whole adventure (1-5, 4-1, Corona). But other than those, it's satisfying to play.
Fun fact: You can reach Pianta Village before unlocking Bianco Hills, so you can totally defeat Shadow Mario once before his official introduction.
I wouldn't be opposed to buying it someday, but only if I was confident the original formula was getting a revival. A purchase at this point would tell Nintendo I want more of the Sticker Star series, which I don't.
Are there any other Spirit Events on the horizon? I missed the last two (Ring Fit Adventure and Trials of Mana) and want to get as caught up as possible.
Not a PKMN fan, but I've noticed the spin-offs tend to have better graphics and more creative ideas than the mainline games that release alongside them. They aren't all winners, but Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, Snap, and Conquest are real standouts that draw me in more than the main Pokemon RPGs.
My biggest gripe is that King Boo A) doesn't have his LM2 design, and B) his set isn't inspired by Luigi's Mansion. It would've been so easy to make his set a scaled-down Luigi's Mansion.

Re: Round Up: More Screenshots And Footage Of Super Mario 3D All-Stars
I'm totally playing Pianta Village first, before even meeting Shadow Mario.

Re: Today's The Big Day - Happy 35th Anniversary, Mario!
@Yanina 3D World + Bowser's Fury doesn't release until February, though.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 12th)
Getting over my cat's death by playing some Smash Ultimate and maybe a little Super Mario All-Stars (SMB2).

Y'all heard of Jet Force Gemini? Found it at a used shop last week.

Re: 13 More Games Have Just Been Confirmed For Sega's Astro City Mini Console
Ooh, Bonanza Bros.! I'm fond of that one.
Re: Quick Draw Kirby Returns In New Plush Toy Collection This October
Cool! I'm more interested in Kirby wearing Magolor's costume, though. That Bubble plush, however, is very weak.
Re: Reminder: Splatoon 2's Next Bonus Splatfest Takes Place This Weekend, With More On The Way
Fun stuff! Though I'd have preferred one of the Splatfests from a different region. The Japanese Fries vs. McNuggets fest sounds appetizing.
Re: Shakedown: Hawaii For Wii U Arrives Next Week
Tempting, but I'll pass.
Re: Retro Studios Reminds Us It's In Need Of A Lead Producer For Metroid Prime 4
Is it a safe assumption MP4 will be a simultaneous release on Switch and Switch U? Like Breath of the Wild?
Re: Random: Nintendo Posts New Image Of Mario In The Sunshine, Internet Goes Wild Again
@Anri02 Heck, look at Sakurai. The man who admitted to playing 242 PS4 games last year can't even play Space Harrier without triggering speculation.

9/12 A white hat? Preposterous!

Goodness gracious, they keep coming.
Re: Has The Chibi-Robo Studio Skip Pulled The Plug On Development?
A true tragedy. Zip Lash wasn't even that bad, tbh. But it clearly wasn't Skip's key to success.

Re: Poll: So, What Was Nintendo's Best Year Ever?
Wow, Pocket Card Jockey was cited as an outstanding work in 2016? Not even Kirby: Planet Robobot or Tokyo Mirage Sessions?
2017 really did cover everything. Switch titles aside, it brought a Fire Emblem, three small Kirbys, and even a 2D Metroid. Too good to pass up.
Re: Banner Of The Maid Brings Bodice-Busting Tactical Action To Switch Next Month
The question remains: Is the final boss a big, scary dragon?
Re: Still Not Convinced On Paper Mario: The Origami King? This Accolades Trailer Might Do The Trick
That glowing GeekDad endorsement, tho.
Like, they cited GeekDad when Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash needed accolades. That's telling.
Re: Cuphead's 'Delicious Last Course' DLC Might Be Arriving Very Soon
This will be a good day for a swell bout.

Re: Which Years Were These Classic Nintendo Games Released?
I have a marvelous head for dates, but I rushed through it a bit too quickly. 11/15.

Re: Poll: Paper Mario: The Origami King Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
@the_beaver They do look like they're improving each time, I'll give them that. But I stand by my comment.

Re: Every Nintendo Switch Physical Release Announced During Limited Run Games' Livestream
Castlevania's tempting, but I've got almost all the included games separately. Maybe I can swing it alongside Bug Fables.

5th Cell basically died in 2016.
