NA My Nintendo promised a Kirby’s Dream Buffet keychain reward back in August and never released it. I’m still disappointed about it.

Though fans may dislike it, I think MM thrives under the Count Chocula sales model--Release an entry very rarely and only after players have started craving a new one. It keeps the fans from growing complacent with the franchise and keeps the IP a highly-desired pleasure.

The US cover is a bit aimless, with a horde of monsters thrown onto it with little composition. But the other covers are kinda boring and make the game look like a horror B-movie. If I picked up the Japanese one at a store, I’d think I was buying a movie at first glance.

North American edges them out slightly by looking more game-y.

Goes to show how successful that mobile game has been. Congrats, FEH! But on the other hand, imagine buying an expensive statue to demonstrate your love for a free game, lol.

A port would be a waste of time because they’d have to gut the core of the game: the AR card battling. No thanks!

For how much Kirby and the Rainbow Curse costs physically, you might as well include that one here. It’s cheaper on the eShop, and definitely worth your time.

These videos are the most fun I’ve had with a mainline Pokémon game since 2006, lol!

The hero summoning is a little dry. It’s really just the heroes you immediately expect without any deviation. Marth, Sigurd, and ooh, they had the guts to pick Celica over Alm! Whoever could’ve guessed they’d do that?

When the gacha game has had a much wider cast for over 5 years, it makes this look pedestrian.

Anybody play Garfield’s Scary Scavenger Hunt on Flash? If so, you know where this is going.

You make Garfield walk around a haunted house, and click on things to make them move. You want to find the product placement snacks and avoid finding horrific things—fill up your scare meter and you lose the game. The sequel game had an infamous moment where it tells you to look carefully at a detailed painting, then hits you with a black and red screamer. Yeah, my brother and I reacted appropriately to that.

Is the game still gonna crash when trying to set up a Salmon Run shift? That happens to me all the time.

It’s a bit funny how Celica is chosen over Alm to represent Echoes in other games, yet in Echoes itself, she gets locked in a dungeon and Alm needs to save the day in the final chapter. At the end of the day, Alm has higher billing in the story, but Celica is prettier and has fire magic, so she’s understandably more popular with those who never played it.

It’s tough but put me down for Torigoth (Day) from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Such a wonderfully upbeat track to go along with a memorable town in the game. Makes me think of Ireland!

I could never get good with drawing in Splatoon 2. I loved drawing on the Wii U GamePad, but using a stylus on the Switch just doesn’t work for me.

How about a new pinball game? That’d be great. But New Pokémon Snap deserves a sequel.

I am legit tempted to buy some of these releases, despite having the Switch one + DLC downloaded. What’s the price, I guess?

I’d like the whole Picross e series on 3DS, but it’s hard to spend $50+ on 8 nearly identical games in one sitting. I’ll think about it, though.

Yesterday marked the tenth anniversary of Kirby’s Dream Collection in North America (you Europeans sadly never got it). So I’ve been celebrating that by playing the New Challenge Stages in it. They’re challenging but satisfying, and they make me think of my high school years.

Fingers crossed I’m in the right place at the right time when Pearl & Marina drop. I wasn’t feeling it about anything really back in 2018, but now I’m ready to correct my mistake.

I bought Wind Waker HD on the eShop just in case a serious price hike was imminent—remember what happened to Pikmin 3? I’m betting I made the right call.

If it’s not a remake of the SNES version specifically, pass.

Choosing Scissors for Big Man, but oof, they all have ugly designs, IMO. It seems they were going for extremely exaggerated looks this time around, and it really doesn’t work for me. Big Man is the least offensive of them, and he still looks like King Boo from Super Mario Sunshine. They just don’t make ‘em like Pearl and Marina anymore…

My first Zelda that I played was OoT, but I was a frustrated, hotheaded middle schooler who gave up after Volvagia. I didn’t beat it until this very year on 3DS.

The first Zelda I beat was Link’s Awakening DX in 2014. That one had its hard parts, but I enjoyed it.

Pokémon is always trying to push its narrative on us. When will it end? lol.

@ibookboyuk It’s good, but worthy of $30 is debatable. Most people prefer the Impossible Pack out of the DLC.

Don’t forget the Smash 3DS DLC. All the characters are in Ultimate, sure, but Smash Run enthusiasts would get great use out of Bayonetta.

Wait, does Sakurai use a 3rd party Switch Pro Controller? That surprises me if so.

Doduo. It’s the only Pokémon I could legitimately see myself owning and riding. Garchomp is also hecka cool.

Darn, so close. Would have been more convenient for my schedule than tomorrow’s real stream.

There’s a lost appreciation for the simplicity of a character on a box with a splash of color behind him. The Japanese version certainly shows more of what the game’s about, but I do quite like the North American one. All Nintendo had to do was say, “It’s Link with a bird hat!” and people bought it.

At this point, I’m expecting Advance Wars to release via leak and nothing else. It’s happened before… to that very game, in fact!
