This seems strange. Team Cherry are successful so why is a 2D game taking this long? Could you imagine if they were making a 3D game, it would take them 500 years.

If they can’t get volume 1 right which are ancient games how are they possibly going to get volume 2 right where the games are much more modern?

Not expecting a physical for Turok 3. Collectors might be interested I suppose

@DripDropCop146 If they just released the new Vengeance content as a standalone game without SMTV (e.g. SMT4 Apocalypse) noone would be complaining. They added quality of life improvements to the base game so some people might want to play through that again. I don’t get why people are complaining but some will find a way to put a negative spin on things I suppose

Interesting to see that in lifetime sales in Japan that Animal Crossing has shifted approx 2 million more sales than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

If I wanted a game from the 1990’s I wouldn’t have bought a Switch.Me thinks the price is insane

If a game is good the longer it is the better. Bring on Witcher 3, Persona 5 Royal, Dragon Quest XI, etc

A delay from Level-5? How unusual

Why they would release this in English & not Yo-Kai Watch 4 baffles me completely. Like how many is this going to sell, already the online is a barren wasteland.....They can release at least 6 Yo-Kai Watch games physically in English on the 3DS but they won't even release 1 Yo-Kai Watch game on the better selling Switch console. What gives?

I got RPG Wright which had an aesthetic appeal like Plucky Squire but was very disappointed. I’ll be cautious with Plucky Squire and wait for reviews before diving in

Level-5 delays are getting ridiculous. Love to have an official update on Yo-Kai Watch 4 localisation which they confirmed was happening at Anime Expo years ago. They closed their US HQ without updating us on this status which is pretty rude to the fans who had been buying their Yokai Watch games.

Ooh nice. This announcement put a big smile on my face. If it performs ok then guaranteed purchase from me provided it’s a worldwide release of course as the trailer was in Japanese

@Spider-Kev Monster Hunter Stories is a cutesy turn-based, chill & cozy Pokemon style game, but very good.

Physical retail release for Europe & Australia?

Could you imagine how many centuries it would take Team Cherry to do a 3D open world game? They may be indie but they’re very successful and not short of coin so this wait for a 2D game is a farce.

I would add GTA4, a Fallout game, Mass Effect collection, Rare Replay, localised version of Yokai Watch 4, maybe a Just Cause or Far Cry game. Sims 4, Madden. That’s just me giving it a couple minutes thought

They know. They probably want to wait and do a big reveal at some point. Wonder if they’re waiting for a Switch 2 launch date before giving further deets.

Clocked nearly 200 hours on this with my 3DS but will probably not double dip. Would’ve loved MHS3 but if you haven’t played this I would definitely recommend

@Lord I agree it sounds pretty lame tbh. I don’t mean to be negative or cynical but this seems pretty boring and pointless with no new game announcements.

As much as I'm excited for this I'm also concerned on how much of a downgrade hit to performance & visuals we get on Switch. If it performs like Arkham City well then sign me up but if it performs like Arkham Knight forget it.

After the last few Pokemon Presents gave us no new games I’m cautious about getting my hopes up but there are no new Pokemon games on the horizon which gives me hope for an announcement. That said I will not make the mistake of purchasing on Day 1 like I did with Pokemon Scarlet

A remake for this with additional content would be awesome

I loved both the Monster Hunter Stories games but I'm not going to double dip on this. Highly recommend this series if you haven't played it.

1 million sold. I guess that's like 995,000 digital copies & 5,000 physical - Good luck getting a physical copy guys Square Enix want you to buy digital & the tiny print run for this game is evidence of this.

Biomutant is supposedly coming out Feb 14 but THQ Nordic have been quiet about that so I’m not holding my breath but that’s what I’m looking forward to.

The first sentence of this article says “EA has shown ongoing support for the Switch Generation”. What is Nintendolife smoking to make that comment? Where’s my Madden or Sims 4 on Switch? EA’s FIFA series with all its Legacy Editions was an insult to Switch owners as well.

@MirrorFate2 Probably not, they only sold 25 million at $60 per copy equating to over $1 billion in revenue, so I don't think The Pokemon Company have the budget to do the right thing & make the game run half decently. Shame

It’s probably a bit late in the lifecycle of the Switch now tbh. That boat has sailed.

I'm enjoying this although the first couple of hours dragged. Performance is a bit stuttery but not game breaking as it's not an action game. Visuals are not up to par, but you could say the same about Stardew Valley, that said the graphics should be better from a full priced game & in this aspect the Dragon Quest name deserves better. Fun game though!

@MirrorFate2 That is all I wanted to know. With over $1.2US billion worth of revenue just counting physical sales ONLY ($60 per copy X 22 million sold) Game Freak & The Pokemon Company are too tight to fix the performance. Disgusting!

After the lackluster sales of the Wii U and very early in the lifecycle of the Switch we found out about joycon drift it would’ve been a brave person to predict this level of success. The drift put me off buying the system for about 12 months but I caved due to the great games and the portability factor and I don’t regret it. Developing all your games for one console instead of spreading it over 2 (Wii U / 3DS) made the difference

After watching the new Vision trailer I don’t think this is a sequel. It looks like it’s a remaster with additional content such as 2 extra job classes, making it a “deluxe” version of the 3DS game. If that’s the case I’m beyond disappointed.

@Limberlost That would be pretty awesome but me thinks that is about as likely as us getting a localised version of Yokai Watch 4 which they promised us at Anime Expo 2019, 4 years later we are still waiting with no updates. Pretty rude really.

I wouldn’t be surprised with how Level 5 games are being delayed that this releases late 2025 or even 2026 and by this time they’ll be no “steam” left in the Switch. This may end up releasing on the next gen Switch at this rate

Midly interested in this so good to get an update. A few games have gone quiet like Weird West and Biomutant. Hope those are still coming to Switch too (not 2)

This is the first time I’ve ever played it and after being spoilt with Octo Traveller 2 & Dragon Quest XI this sucks in comparison

It’s $45 AUD (approx $30 US) which seems very steep. I don’t think they put it on the Aussie eshop by “mistake” somehow. I’m sure they have their reasons.

They over-promised and under-delivered in a MASSIVE way. I understand you need to take the time to get the game right but in February this year you state Inazuma 11, Fantasy Life & Decapolice all to be released in 2023 & ALL of them get delayed in to 2024 well that’s just an epic fail.

No kidding it’s delayed. It’s November with no release date, there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that this comes out this year

Actions speak louder than words. Words are cheap and I find it tiresome. So far we’ve basically got Ori & Minecraft in the Switch generation which is slim pickings. Let’s wait and see.
