The intentionally vague patch notes is basically Nintendo saying “mind your own business, i’m not telling you the details, ner, ner, na ner ner”.

It’s important that you mention the file size is over 50GB just for a basketball game. Yes that’s right it’ll take up 3 times the storage space of a massive open world game like Zelda TOTK. This is lazy that they didn’t do any compression and with limited storage space is a factor in purchasing, without this info your review is incomplete.

Unless they do a price drop I can’t see how they’re going to get 13 million copies sold. The new Zelda game might get a few new converts onboard but probably not to the extent of TOTK last year. So unless Nintendo do something major it aint happening

Not sure September 24th is a “summer” showcase but better late than never. Love Level-5 games but hate their delays and unprofessional communication as they still haven’t officially told us that the Yokai Watch 4 localisation is no longer happening. (Announced for localisation at Anime Expo 2019 since then silence. Pretty rude to the fans)

I love how Luigi’s Mansion 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns were Nintendo Selects $20 titles. Nintendo re-release these old games on the Switch at $60 and take away the 3D in the process. Don’t buy!

With golf and basketball added it’s getting tempting. Might just buy now, it’s definitely back on my radar. As a physical collector definitely disappointed that these 2 won’t be on the cart

NBA 2K23 & 24 were both over 55GB for just a basketball game yet a massive open world game like Zelda TOTK is only 16GB. The developer has no understanding of compression and unless they work this out and get the game under 20GB I won’t buy. I can’t justify using up that much of my precious storage for just a basketball game.

This budget “Nintendo Selects” 3DS title should not be full price. Complete greedy cash grab by Nintendo. I hope (but doubt) this does not meet sales expectations for Nintendo as I want Nintendo to be better as it’s a pretty lazy port to boot.

This seems strange. Team Cherry are successful so why is a 2D game taking this long? Could you imagine if they were making a 3D game, it would take them 500 years.

If they can’t get volume 1 right which are ancient games how are they possibly going to get volume 2 right where the games are much more modern?

@DripDropCop146 If they just released the new Vengeance content as a standalone game without SMTV (e.g. SMT4 Apocalypse) noone would be complaining. They added quality of life improvements to the base game so some people might want to play through that again. I don’t get why people are complaining but some will find a way to put a negative spin on things I suppose

Interesting to see that in lifetime sales in Japan that Animal Crossing has shifted approx 2 million more sales than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Why they would release this in English & not Yo-Kai Watch 4 baffles me completely. Like how many is this going to sell, already the online is a barren wasteland.....They can release at least 6 Yo-Kai Watch games physically in English on the 3DS but they won't even release 1 Yo-Kai Watch game on the better selling Switch console. What gives?

I got RPG Wright which had an aesthetic appeal like Plucky Squire but was very disappointed. I’ll be cautious with Plucky Squire and wait for reviews before diving in

Level-5 delays are getting ridiculous. Love to have an official update on Yo-Kai Watch 4 localisation which they confirmed was happening at Anime Expo years ago. They closed their US HQ without updating us on this status which is pretty rude to the fans who had been buying their Yokai Watch games.

Ooh nice. This announcement put a big smile on my face. If it performs ok then guaranteed purchase from me provided it’s a worldwide release of course as the trailer was in Japanese

@Spider-Kev Monster Hunter Stories is a cutesy turn-based, chill & cozy Pokemon style game, but very good.

Could you imagine how many centuries it would take Team Cherry to do a 3D open world game? They may be indie but they’re very successful and not short of coin so this wait for a 2D game is a farce.

I would add GTA4, a Fallout game, Mass Effect collection, Rare Replay, localised version of Yokai Watch 4, maybe a Just Cause or Far Cry game. Sims 4, Madden. That’s just me giving it a couple minutes thought

They know. They probably want to wait and do a big reveal at some point. Wonder if they’re waiting for a Switch 2 launch date before giving further deets.

Clocked nearly 200 hours on this with my 3DS but will probably not double dip. Would’ve loved MHS3 but if you haven’t played this I would definitely recommend

@Lord I agree it sounds pretty lame tbh. I don’t mean to be negative or cynical but this seems pretty boring and pointless with no new game announcements.

As much as I'm excited for this I'm also concerned on how much of a downgrade hit to performance & visuals we get on Switch. If it performs like Arkham City well then sign me up but if it performs like Arkham Knight forget it.

After the last few Pokemon Presents gave us no new games I’m cautious about getting my hopes up but there are no new Pokemon games on the horizon which gives me hope for an announcement. That said I will not make the mistake of purchasing on Day 1 like I did with Pokemon Scarlet

Biomutant is supposedly coming out Feb 14 but THQ Nordic have been quiet about that so I’m not holding my breath but that’s what I’m looking forward to.

The first sentence of this article says “EA has shown ongoing support for the Switch Generation”. What is Nintendolife smoking to make that comment? Where’s my Madden or Sims 4 on Switch? EA’s FIFA series with all its Legacy Editions was an insult to Switch owners as well.

@MirrorFate2 Probably not, they only sold 25 million at $60 per copy equating to over $1 billion in revenue, so I don't think The Pokemon Company have the budget to do the right thing & make the game run half decently. Shame
