Video was interesting, but not really my experience. I put 120 hours into TOTK with my gulikit sticks and have zero complaints. They feel slightly stiffer than the stock sticks, but I kinda like that. I bought a second kit to keep around just in case I end up with another set of joycons for whatever reason.
Reeeeally wish they would finally do something like--when moving to the right, for example--shift Sonic about 20% to the left side of the screen so the player can see a bit more of what's in front of him.
My hoverbike still has a very slight drift to the right, but nothing so bad that'd I'd agonize over perfecting. It was good enough to get me all the Lightroots.
I had a very good time with this game upon release but doubt it will get another run through from me, at least not until long after Sea of Stars finally comes out.
@Edu23XWiiU I mean, I suppose you have the right to choose to live your life with a self-limited point of view and a closed mind to the fact that many people face different life challenges from you... but it's weird.
@Jamies someone ran the numbers and you'd have to spend almost 8 hours doing nothing but riding and farming dragons to get enough parts to upgrade everything. Now, I'm not going nearly that far, but as a nearly forty year-old, I have better things to do than mindlessly ride dragons for a few hours to upgrade the specific things I do want to upgrade.
As much as I am loving the game, it could be a little less disrespectful of the player's time. The only things I have duped are the dragon parts and I don't think there should be any shame in that.
@Edu23XWiiU whew, this is surely one of the worst takes up in here. imagine being this unable or unwilling to step outside yourself for even a moment. It's not whining: in-game button remapping with updated prompts should be standard issue at this point.
@Ooccoo_Jr I got mine a few days ago. Gave the compensation Steam code to a friend. The game is pretty good. It might actually be a little long for my tastes. I might not have time to see it through before Zelda. Hopefully the PC patch comes to Switch sooner rather than later.
Ahh, it'll be (hopefully) lovely to finally get to play Afterimage after Kickstarting it a year ago. Will probably be the last game I play before Zelda.
Absolutely not, Link (and Dragon Quest) mains should remain silent. Link got some really great and comical dialogue choices in BOTW, but hearing them vocalized would've been annoying and slow. I don't fear change and am not strictly speaking a traditionalist, but I know in my heart of hearts a talking Link would be worse. Especially since the voice acting in BOTW was the weakest part of the entire experience.
2023 is a big year so I'm gonna have to wait for a sale on these. Even then I'll probably just get V and VI. QoL options and finally fixing the typefaces are very, very appreciated, tho.
Reminder that the current iteration of SNK is 96% by owned by Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, as part of the country's attempts to divert attention from their human rights record and ongoing genocide. Maybe don't give them your money?
Quality list. My top 8 would only very slightly be reordered. As a gringo who has played many hours of X in Japanese, can confirm it's pretty chill. It'd be nice to see it translated, but as I have elucidated in several other places I just don't see it ever happening. I'm currently playing through the 3DS version of XI and it's delightful.
@SonOfDracula if you believe the readers of this website need to be Um Actually'ed about Steam, I don't know what to tell you other than "they don't" and "that should be obvious".
@sixrings so? Even more reason to anticipate there being mountains of content. If I spend even half the time in this one that I did in BOTW, I'll still call it a great value.
lmao at the haters up in here. This is not "$70 DLC" any more than Majora's Mask back in the day. There will be plenty to do, guys, calm down. I'll be smoking a big bowl of this game with my Good Time Diaper on, and the whiners are free to heck off

Re: RIN: The Last Child Is Yet Another Promising Metroidvania Coming To Switch
@Duncanballs "Just feels like there are too many of many different things."
lol what does this mean? there's too much variety today and genres are too bounteous for those who like them?
Re: Gorgeous Metroidvania 'Haiku The Robot' Is Getting A Physical Release
This was a quality game. Good sorta beginner's metroidvania. Doesn't overstay its welcome and isn't terribly difficult.
Re: Poll: Super Mario All-Stars Is 30 Years Old - Do You Prefer The NES Or SNES Versions Of The Classics?
Some of the physics are wrong in SMB Allstars, so no. The only Allstars version I prefer over NES is of SMB2 (US).

Re: Poll: Are You Still Playing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
There's no option for almost being done? Just have a couple more sides to wrap up and then I'm off to kill chaos, wait, I mean ganondorf.

Re: Sonic Superstars Sees The Return Of Classic-Style Sonic With New Visuals
Huh, didn't have this on my 2023 bingo card, but I'll take it.
Re: Blasphemous II's Release Date May Have Just Leaked On PlayStation Store
Finally played the first one this year. Very much looking forward to the sequel regardless of release date.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Character Purah Gets Transformed Into A VTuber
Purah's alright, but have you seen Bolson? He's the money melon.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Updating Your Copy Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I'll update when DLC inevitably releases.

They fixed all the dupe methods? Or just the bow one?
Re: Haiku The Robot's Final Content Update Adds New Area, Bosses And More Later This Month
This was a lovely game. I'll definitely check out the update months from now when Zelda doesn't dominate my game time.

timeline lore is far and away the least interesting aspect of the Zelda franchise
Re: Sega Looks Set To Raise Its Game Prices Up To $70
The only Sega titles I would even consider purchasing at $70 would be from the Yakuza series.

Re: Blasphemous II Slashes Its Way Onto Switch This Summer
If Silksong doesn't make it out this year, I will be content to have this. The first was so, so good despite some minor movement related clunk.

Re: Talking Point: Just How Old Is Mario In The Super Mario Bros. Movie?
@Sam_TSM lighten up, Francis.
Mario has always struck me as mid-40s, but somehow an Olympic-level athlete with a pear-shaped figure.
Re: Sea Of Stars Wears SNES RPG Inspirations Proudly In New Gameplay Showcase
Ha, I didn't realize GI was still around. This is gonna be a day-one buy, though Zelda and Silksong will take priority as necessary.
