I found SoA to be a quality game - one of the greatest JPPGs of all time, though? Nah. I still played through it twice, but that was enough. Lots of cool ideas, though. It certainly had a unique vibe, if non-unique characters.
I haven't played an Atelier game since Iris on the PS2, but for some reason this one in particular is tempting. I'd probably be more likely to purchase a new 2D style game similar to Iris, tho, because I'm one of those people..
The visual design is an abomination but if the movie is bizarre, experimental, or doesn't play it safe, maybe it'll actually be worth a watch. Give me something weird, Sega. Make it realllly weird. Like Mario Bros movie weird. Invent some strange canon to irritate super fans.
Hm, no mention of the glitches? Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the port and 3x speed... But the area/overworld music resets after every battle. It was less noticeable in the FF9 port, but very distracting here.
Some FMVs, when transferring back to gameplay, end with a black screen flash. It's fast but people sensitive to flashes may want to think about it.
Also probably not to be experienced by most players, but playing Tifa's piano in hi speed mode can crash the game.
High speed in general for these two ports is risky during some scenes. Save it for overworld travel and battles, tho, and you should be safe.
Totally happy to double-dip when it comes to DQ. I made it about halfway through the PC version, based on what I've read online, but I'll set it aside and wait for the Definitive edition.
It's only $5? Count me in. I'm sick to death of rogue likes and metroidvanias. Something straightforward like this that'll entertain me for a day or two is just what I could use right now.

Re: Super Neptunia RPG Comes To Switch This Summer With A Lovely Physical Release
I'd probably throw this a bone for $20-25, but $50 is just a bit steep.
Re: Talking Point: Super Mario Maker 2 Should Finally Enable Us To Craft The Perfect Mario Mixtape
I, too, hope for an SMB2 theme, though it seems unlikely. Either way, still f'in pumped.

I've played FF7 on the psx, PC, last year on my mobile and now this year on the Switch. I'm a sucker. Just gotta finish the last disc of FF9.
