Is there a story? What's the game about? Review spends 98% of its text on mechanics, and like two sentences on visuals and music, but zero on what the goal is.
I find, regardless of length, it's usually pretty safe to skip the first 30% of any game trailer. There's almost never any gameplay footage that early in one. Sometimes not even until 70% in.
what drugs is this guy smoking? Nintendo has never released a home console for $400 (maybe as a bundle with a game or games, but not a base model, right?) and I doubt they will now. more pure speculation from an "industry insider" with no source
it's hyperbolic to say this looks like a PS2 game, but it sure doesn't look as good as the Skate games on the 360. the emptiness is also a big turn off.
Solid 7. A meticulous re-creation that somehow feels a little lacking, for a AAA pricetag. I had a good time with some of the post-game bosses but wish there was a little more content.
I mean... I paid $70 of birthday and saved up allowance money in 6th grade when this originally came out, so I really don't feel too cross about $50 via Game Voucher in 2023...
@CJD87 @woopox you can change the difficulty up or down at any point during the game in the settings menu. @SmartNickname not really. The PS1 version came out way before the West ever saw an official localisation of the original. You'll be fine
This game was okay. Had a good enough time getting the true ending, yet I already know I'll never replay it. It really won't go down in history as a classic. I'm glad I never encountered any of these bugs or softlocks, though!
Changed to Japanese voices after a couple levels because I didn't like the English voice (yes, I can read and speak JP). Then text only after a few more levels. Even that is now becoming too much on-screen noise. I realize I'm in the minority, but I sure coulda done without 'em.
I like my 8bitdo controllers for many reasons, but I don't understand why they can't wake my Switch, when my other wireless third-party controller that cost half the price can.
Every game I've ever Kickstarted has had a delay of some sort, so this is no surprise to me. It's not like I won't have plenty to play in the meantime, so eh. Keep making it the best it can be.
