@rjejr okay, fam, you do you. We now live in a world where these things can be fixed. Should the game have shipped with something this broken? No, of course not. But here we are, and it'll get handled I'm sure.
Hanafuda/Koi Koi is so much fun! I do, however, wish we could turn off the moon and cherry blossom viewing for online play since they can end rounds in 1 turn. And I wanna play 12 round games with people online. The default options don't seem editable.
Playing it today and it's got some rather unfair moments, unlike the first game. The first half is too easy while the back half is needlessly frustrating. I'd give it a C+
This looks dope. People are calling fighting a box of colored pencils "generic"... Can you name some other games that have you fighting stationary? There might be a couple. But I'd posit that these battles are as unique as they can get. Paper Mario fans just be toxic these days
Sonic, you need specially designed headphones for your forward facing animal ears. You might get some vibrations through your skull but just resting them on your dome is far from ideal. How can you expect to be a pro DJ?
Okay, I'll be -that- guy
The apostrophe is supposed to be before the number. Unless Overdrive is somehow possessive to the number 80. But since I doubt that, it should be '80s Overdrive. Common mistake.
@invictus4000
Counterpoint: being a portable game, BD made a bolder effort than most of streamlining the 'classic' jRPG experience. They basically stripped away anything they deemed superfluous: giving players control over random encounter rates, refilling HP/MP, auto-saving everywhere (even for each dungeon floor), eliminating town exploration as you mentioned, and doling out most of the story in that weird, stage-like perspective where everybody's just kinda on screen standing there talking at each other. I don't agree with all these features, personally, but it certainly made the game manageable in bite-sized chunks on-the-go.
I'm totally gaybones for Erik but Slyvando is def a highly entertaining character. Top notch entry all around finished the game and "post game" (really just a part 3) with 92 hours clocked. Didn't yet finish up the tockington quests, tho.
No rumble is lame, but for the price I can see why it was omitted. Also, that home button placement is a little too close to the X button for me. The pro controller location is slightly different and better overall (for me).
I don't understand the review tag line. Has somebody said the side scrolling brawler is dead? The delightful River City Girls just came out recently...
@Paraka yep. I bought it and made it as far as this video goes, oddly enough. Then I put it aside to play Link's Awakening, and now that that is done, I'm 40 hours deep into Dragon Quest... I'll come back to Ni no Kuni. It was a very good few hours.
Ah, jeez. I was gonna be that jerk that pointed out its not truly 8 bit (color pallette, resolution), but I'll keep my mouth shut and enjoy the visuals and effort. It's still pretty. Shame it doesn't seem to be selling super well for Switch. Came out during a crowded time of year, though.

Re: Review: Tennis World Tour 2 - A Promising Seed With Far Too Many Faults
Disappointed but not surprised. Mario Tennis with all the special shots turned off continues to be the best simulation on the system.

$60 refunds? You've got quite the flair for the dramatic, eh?
Re: Poll: Paper Mario: The Origami King Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
Digital copy unlocked for me last night and I had a lot of fun with it once I got past the painfully rudimentary tutorials.
