@Axecon I think it came out too recently to be part of the schedule. Entries have to be submitted and the schedule coordinated welllll in advance. I'm sure it'll be part of SGDQ later this year.
@FizzyChalice tbh I was disappointed about how little glitchy wackiness I encountered in my playthrough of the utterly mundane Colors. Therefore, Sonic Team kinda owes me. Big Time. I expect nothing less than Sonic Boom levels of madness.
Sorry, Sega. I'm not really interested in playing a tight, polished 3D Sonic game. Give me the buggy, hilarious mess we all know we crave but few admit out loud.
The chances of 3 getting localized this far out are slim to none. The chances of a new official, and no doubt less potentially controversial, Mother game are higher tbh; however Shigesato Itoi long ago stated publicly he's not interested in making games any more (not to mention he's now well into in his 70s), and frankly I don't think I would bother with a non-Itoi helmed Mother any way.
Following the creators of the Mother 3 translation's blog back in the day was fascinating and made it clear that just injecting new text was very difficult with the way that particular game was programmed and a lot of re-jiggering had to happen under the hood beyond simply the localization itself. It's sort of a minor-miracle we got that at all. It's almost as if the game was intentionally developed to not be translated. Almost.
@VIIIAxel it's not coming, bro. I've played a significant amount of X and the amount of content to translate is astounding. Like, think DQ11 times 2 (maybe 3). That's a big investment into something that would surely sell half or less than what XI did. The game's been out for nearly a decade, my dude.
... People were having such struggles with the wind puzzles the Devs actually nerfed it? What was the struggle exactly? I don't remember encountering anything that made me pause and think for more than like, a couple minutes. Yikes, gamers
I knew the rewriting of history and game journalists suddenly becoming Other M apologists would start happening a few months ago. Like when the Star Wars prequels started getting all these weird revisionist articles about how um, actually, they're like, really good (they're not), right before the recent trilogy came out.
I'm sorry, guys. The chances of this getting a localization after 9 years of expansions and stuff is absurdly low. This game is bigger than 8, 9, & 11 combined.
Make just enough of a fan game for a trailer that can make a splash. Then immediately pivot, reskin, and announce it as "inspired by such-and-such IP." it's a really simple idea and could save idiots like these who can't seem to notice a C&D coming a mile away a lot of trouble.
@OldManHermit agreed. I ended up downloading a trainer for the PC version so I could skip orb collecting. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished the game. The main story stuff is fun
I'd argue Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 is the best baseball game on the SNES, tbh. It's got a lot of personality and **mario sports style special moves**. Give it a chance! The original for the NES is hands-down the best NES baseball game.
No mention of Street Cleaner? It went up this week and it's great! No nonsense 8-bit platforming with a nicely balanced difficulty and a great synth wave? type sound track.
The humor is definitely hit or miss, but I mostly enjoyed my time with the game. On the fence about going back for DLC given my backlog but you never know.

Re: Dragon Quest X Offline Has Been Confirmed For Switch, Launches In Japan Next February
I'm fairly certain we won't see it I'm the West. I read some Japanese and played a not inconsiderable bit of DQX a couple years ago.
The game is bigger and contains so much more text than people realize.
It's a Mother 3 type situation. If it hasn't happened by now, it won't.
