The last humble man it seems.
I never thought people would give him sh*t for his Youtube channel. That‘s just ridiculous. He‘s basically giving you his hard earned experience for free instead of other rich Youtubers who would instead promote their new book or online courses.
Can‘t believe it took 18 years (!) for this sequel to come out. Life has certainly changed since then, lol. I certainly look forward to it!
By the way, how are people sceptic about this game? You would think Nintendo made sure that the quality is right this time after they wasted a ton of money on the first two years of development.
„ Inevitably less impressive these days, especially if you've played its sequels“
That‘s something I really disagree on. And reading through the recent part of the comment section, it feels like other people feel the same way and I‘m glad I‘m not the only one. The first game was genuinely spooky at times and then there were the calm parts where you can walk around in the mansion and you know everything is safe. Almost made it feel cozy in there.
If I ever get rich I will have someone build an exact replica of this thing, lol.
I really loved the first game when it came out, the presentation was marvellous and the story really had a special kind of magic to it. The second game was also pretty good even though I finished it quickly. After going back a couple of years later I figured that I really didn’t like the controls anymore. They felt stiff compared to 64 and Sunshine and leaving out the dive-jump took away a lot of the fun that I had when moving Mario around.
Well, he‘s not wrong. We are used to consuming things without hesitation because living and everyday goods had become rather cheap. With rising prices, you have to chose on what you spend your money on and if gaming is your passion or your number one hobby you‘ll find a way to afford the money for the game. If it isn‘t, owning the game is probably not that necessary for you. Besides, I would say some renunciation is not a bad thing for this society.
And if they innovate too much they get sh*t for it…How some people always find a way to complain is beyond me. How about the competitors, how innovative have they been in the last 20 years? No examples? Well there you go.
We in the West have to thank Putin and all the other warheads for this. Just after we made it through the pandemic this !diot comes along and ruins our financial plans. Then again, we really can‘t complain because we‘re still sitting in our safe homes. Losing some money is fine with me as long as friends and family don‘t lose their lives.
Oh, shut up Shuhei…What has your ex-company been doing over all these years? Too bad that there is nothing that they can copy this time is what he‘s trying to say.
If you are going to get a Switch 2 and Mario Kart World then just buy the damn bundle. Oh and was the price of the PS5 Pro again? The people complaining are probably the ones that have their over 1000 bucks ready for a new smartphone that at this point has next to upgrades whatsoever.
Honestly, why do people expect this upgrade to be free? It’s not like there is one person who does all of the remastering in one weekend. It takes time and testing to get quality results. And everyone can decide if they’re willing to spend the money for the upgrade or not.
Great article, as if you were talking about my own childhood. Me and my friends and neighbours all had skateboards it was almost mandatory back then.
And yes, the third entry really is the peak of the classic formula.
I don‘t know how the new THPS 4 will feel. As a child I really loved it but I have to admit that going back to it a bit more recently it felt like the pacing is really slow. A faster pace is probably what they are going for with the remake. But there might be other ways to improve on that instead of ignoring half of the game‘s DNA.
They had found the golden formula with Assault in my opinion but they weren‘t willing to perfect it. As if they were suddenly told to finish the game. If I had any important role at Big N I‘d say: take that formula and make a mind blowing sequel. If anyone can pull it off it‘s Nintendo.
No space and no Nintendo Land, come on guys. The rest is pretty decent. But please: make the game a bit more scary again like the first one. But I bet that this is not going to happen. Still, a man can dream.
I haven‘t seen any of the movies but I can imagine Jim Carrey‘s performance really contributed to their success. I guess if he leaves at some point then their appeal will rapidly decline. Then again, everything gets a little old at some point so for artistic reasons they should probably call it a day by now. But we all know that this is not how hollywood works.
I remember the 11th of March 2005 as the release date so I was a little confused.
I still have my original one. One of the hinges broke but it’s still functional.
Great console and I think the downloadable multiplayer is what made it stand out. Only one kid owning the game and four being able to play it was amazing! I have fond memories of Mario Kart DS and Metroid Prime Hunters sessions with my friends.
@YaGirlSkyByte
And on the other hand you have nothing short of strip shows on Instagram and TikTok. I haven‘t read 1984 but our world is nowhere close to censorship in nudity.
Search everyone and have their phone removed before they enter said area. Much like at an airport. I would prohibit the violators from entering any Nintendo related store for the rest of their lives.
His work must truly fulfill him then. A lot of us end up in a job that we have somehow gotten into to pay the bills. And we start smoking and drinking to get ourselves through the week. It is a totally different thing when what you are doing is your passion because then it does not feel like work it just feels natural.
Everyone‘s list will be different here but my personal top 3 are:
MP5: Although I didn‘t like the random capsule system, the main game and the minigames were a lot fun. And the extra games rounded it up perfectly.
MP4: The minigames are some of best in the series and the game as a whole just stands out from the other titles in the series. I love the present room and I still miss the lottery.
MP6: That was the one we always came back to when friends were coming over. I haven‘t played Jamboree yet but to me the sixth installment is the one where they got it all right. The boards and minigames are all top notch and the day and night cycle always brings in a few surprises.
There are no more man made surprises in the age of the internet that‘s for sure. Then again if there are no legal consequences did someone at Nintendo actually expect that this (whatever it is) could be kept a secret? Let‘s hope he or she doesn‘t find out this thing about Santa…

Why would they remake OOT again? I mean yes, it’s probably going to sell anyway but I could rather see them taking a "Luigi‘s Mansion 2 HD"-approach.
