@Hck I mean, they still do that just fine, don‘t they? Analogue machines don‘t come with these emulators included so I‘d argue it‘s still your own choice.
@SalvorHardin That would count for a lot of Youtubers then though. How many people have said the same things about Zelda? And yet there continue to exist hour-long videos.
To me it is clear that Dunkey has a lot of passion for video games and he definitely knows what he is talking about. His videos obviously focus more on entertainment but I am sure that he can give serious opinions on wether or not a game has the right amount of quality put into it.
I really wonder what that voice will be like. We‘re used to hearing Charles Martinet as Mario for over 20 years now, it will be strange. Whatever it will be like, I‘m sure Nintendo-focused Youtube channels will be filled with new memes and for that alone it‘s worth it.
People pretending it has nothing do with Dread is just ridiculous. Look at the animations from the very beginning of the trailer and you‘ll see it. Heck even the death animation is the exact same thing. They probably have their own level design, etc. but the similarities are just too obvious. It‘s like Greta van Fleet‘s singer telling you he doesn‘t base his style off of Led Zeppelin.
This really looks like they put a lot of love into it. And it certainly looks like a 1st party Nintendo game. From the trailer though it looks like it‘s not my type of gameplay.
This statistic is pointless. If anything, the Switch should be considered a media player and then you‘d have to compare it record players and dvd players. But even that is pointless. Music and games are two different things. Might as well include books.
I can see Mario being fed up with Bob-ombs and Koopas for good. Never thought he‘d ever pull out a gun at some point but apparently there‘s a dark side behind all the wa-hoos and yippies.
"Tim [Stamper] took The Playboy to CES show 1989 to show it to major manufacturers. When he returned […] he disappointedly said that Nintendo had unveiled a “little handheld thing”."
I guess Nintendo weren‘t the first ones to unveil their little handheld thing when they saw The Playboy.
I remember how updating was a complete mess with the beloved U. The games were amazing but aside from a few they‘re all available as ports on Switch which makes the Wii U obsolete in my eyes. Maybe as a giveaway to your nephew. Oh and Wooly World port, when Nintendo?
@Zucaritas When I saw that island at 00:19 I thought I was looking at Windfall island first. That kraken coming out of the sea felt very familiar, too. And then there is the cel-shading art style. I‘d definately say the game has a windwaker vibe to it but that of course doesn’t need to be a bad thing.
It‘s nice that mentions specifically the second Crash Bandicoot game, Cortex strikes back. Despite some very hard sections that need backtracking I’d say it is the perfect Crash game for me. The difficutly is perfectly balanced.
"In case the Enjin services becomes unavailable in the future, you may lose access to the NFT digital certificate of authenticity and digital version of the figure."
This is the main reason why I would never consider buying NFTs. I might as well throw my money out the window.
I used to love it like you do but revisiting it was a bit of a bummer. Sometimes controls work like a charm and sometimes they don‘t. Some missions are just not worth completing to me. Like waiting an eternity to reach the sh**iest bonus level in the history of mankind. Or the watermelon mission when you f it up in the last two meters. And don‘t even get me started on the blue coins they‘re simply not worth collecting but they are mandatory if you want 120 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the game will always hold a special place in my heart and there are countless enjoyable moments in it. But playing it for a short time on Switch made me think that I would rather keep it in the past as a good childhood memory.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. There simply is no contest anymore. They perfected the gameplay mechanics to the very last bit and the fun factor is practically endless. If there was a competition for the perfect multiplayer game this game has to take the cake.
The good thing about THPS3 is that it‘s still perfectly playable if you happen to have a PS2 lying around. After replaying 4 though, I really thought it could use some polish. Not as good as I remembered it even though it was one of my favorites back then. Really a shame it got axed, they did an amazing job with 1 and 2.
If no one of these internet people heard his performance yet, then why bother complaining? Give the man a chance, and if he blows it - well you can start a petition when the trailer comes out.
@steventonysmith I think you have to start somewhere. To me it feels more like playing around with the content than actually harming it. And I guess that would not be a problem, if it weren‘t for the "sharing it with everybody" attitude. That’s what makes things a bit more complicated.
@steventonysmith Downloading is illegal that‘s for sure. But what does "format shifting" cover? If you own a device that lets you copy a switch cartridge to your PC and use it only for yourself - is that illegal as well? Genuine question. I guess there is no definitive answer, yet.
Whatever it is, I think the modding community simply has a lot of fun experimenting with games like SMO or BOTW and ultimately the worst thing that can happen to them is that they have to take it down. They don‘t lose any money.
Looks decent to be honest, but gotta keep in mind that this is pre-alpha-footage. Nothing wrong with a good Metroidvania. As long as they don‘t take the "the more, the better" approach, I‘m happy.

Funniest sh*t I‘ve seen in a while! At this point I am more excited about the upcoming memes than the actual movie.
