@Coxula Agreed. People shouldn't hate on them for leaks, we aren't Nintendo's bodyguards. People should hate their horrendous Switch 2 case with the worst zipper I have ever had the displeasure of using. 😉

Ah, look, it's the creators of possibly the worst console carrying case I've ever owned. The zipper on mine broke the day after I bought it. And this was supposedly a "fixed" model. Do yourselves a favor and buy a tomtoc case instead. I will never let them live this down.

@Guitario This take is understandable, though, I find console launches fun for this reason. They always force me to try new games I'd never think to play with a bigger lineup. I wouldn't have played Street Fighter 4 if it wasn't a 3DS launch title and I had a lot of fun! I have owned Yakuza 0 for years on PS4 but because it's on S2 I finally jumped into the series. Your opinion is valid though.

I mean, to most silksong is absolutely worth $20 but to me it's not, since I dislike metroidvanias and soulslike games. Just because this game provides excellent value doesn't mean it devalues your game by its own merit. What Remains of Edith Finch is a short gem I'd gladly pay $30 for if it released now, Sayonara Wild Hearts is a wonderful 1 hour game I'd pay $30 for if I had to. It's up to the individual consumer and the quality of the product to decide what price is fair. What gap in the market is your game filling? Does your game provide something no other game at this time does? Or are you selling another zeldalike, another platformer, another metroidvania in a market filled to the brim with metroidvanias? Silksong is filling a gap by doing its own thing. It's not just a metroidvania, not just a soulslike but something you can't get your fill with a million other ways. If Nintendo released the next 3D Zelda tomorrow for $1 you'd point and say "that's not fair." but eventually everyone will own the game and move on, people won't just buy 1$ Zelda over and over. Maybe they'll go buy Mina the Hollower next for $40.

Finally! My favorite Switch game, "Mon-Yu: Defeat Monsters And Gain Strong Weapons And Armor. You May Be Defeated, But Don't Give Up. Become Stronger. I Believe There Will Be A Day When The Heroes Defeat The Devil King" is playable on Switch 2!

I survived the 3DS launch on street fighter 4 and pilotwings alone, it's almost refreshing to see a launch library with too many games I want to play. Yakuza 0 was great, Split Fiction is an incredible port, Cyberpunk could keep me busy for a year, DKB I haven't even scratched the surface, and MKW has become my go-to "let's play something together" game

@harrystein they rose up in spite of Nintendo and have the highest-selling home console of all time. Never count Sony out.

I have purchased each and every playstation console, but I've been so burned with the ps5 and its lack of exclusives that I'm not sure I'll go for their next one until it's proven itself to me

They're so in touch with their fans, Kouichi Kawamoto called me last night just to say "good night." I thought that was really sweet. I told him I had to go to bed because in the morning we're doing a Mario Kart fundraiser for kids with cleft palate. He didn't say anything and dropped the call.

It sounds great for people who love it, the only thing I know is HLTB.com says co-op is "1521 Hours" and I don't see myself starting a game I need a second lifetime to finish.

I'm all down to buy Death Stranding a third time. I adored that game, and DS2 is even better.

My question is how difficult the game is for soft-handed people like myself. I will fall off the game quickly if the combat is a little too difficult (Athenian Rhapsody for instance) though I can always just watch the rest on YouTube if that's really my only bastion.

I have always been interested in adding a "Bubsy 3D-sized" feather in my cap but emulation was tough for 3D games when I was a kid so I gave up. This sounds like a better time than any.

Getting in early to tell you DO NOT BUY THE SLEEPER CASE!! They waited 2 months to send mine until the "improved model" was ready for distribution and when I recieved it I got ONE DAY of use out of it before the "improved" zipper threaded wrong and it became impossible to open, trapping my switch inside. I had to use my finger to undo the zipper, which bricked the sleeper case. Thankfully they were nice enough to give a refund.

I bought the Tomtoc case instead and have had zero issues with the zipper, and it's just as tough as I hoped!

There are people who could use that food. Why not at least bring it with you and ask if someone would take it off your hands?

$44.99 is a solid price point. I probably won't buy it but it's a solid price.

I never got a chance to finish Metroid back on 3DS despite being close to the final battle. May have to take another crack at it now.

Indie world showcases brought me like, a handful of my favorite games of all time last generation. Looking forward to it with tempered expectations.

Wow, too many of these games to keep up with. We got Cosmic Shake, then last year we got that Patrick-based game, it is becoming difficult to imagine keeping up with all of these platformers.

Not even close to one of the better Directs. I was happy to see Cronos as a day-and date title, though! I also was happy to see Persona 3 Reload even though I JUST finished the P3Portable edition on Switch 1 last year.
