I've been waiting so long to see Project 007 it feels wrong to not have any footage or even a cinematic trailer. Still glad to see Bond getting a true revival.
I feel like a lot of people heard about this game through word of mouth (hey I put your mii in this and this is what they're doing with Hank Hill), or because their influencer of choice played the game.
I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy right now after the big eshop sale and while it's an impressive port that runs quite well, it'd be nice to see the wrinkles ironed out to achieve parity with the other versions.
@RiasGremory Man, and the only reason I was able to show up without a preorder was because mine was practically abandoned and unprofitable 😭 I'll have to check nearby towns and actually preorder this time. Solid idea.
@N64-ROX My two statements were kinda disconnected and confusingly worded. Edited for clarity. My point was that Tomodachi Life 1 is rare/expensive. As a collector I'd prefer to buy physical because I like seeing my favorite games on my shelf (Also I'm about to lose all my 3DS eshop games because of a motherboard malfunction)
Thankfully I no longer lug my game carts around in a big case that's easily stolen, so I'm not too worried about theft.
I could definitely see this, but I can also see it standing for "cursor" to allow us to use previously-exclusive touch screen features with the mouse-con
My first thought was Dragon Ball FighterZ, my thoughts after reading the tweet is an effect like cuphead, but using 3D models to create the environments and characters. I feel like I won't have a clear image in my head till I see how Big-N decides to use this tech. That's kinda exciting.
I'm not brilliant at tactical games, so I hope there's an Easy mode. I loved Danganronpa when my roomie and I played it tho and I hear the story is peak.
Wow... this definitely has the Llamasoft DNA. I will have to get it for playstation if they're supporting PSVR again, as Polybius was one of the most beautiful gaming experiences in VR.
@Samalik Genuinely not trying to pick a fight or anything. I respect that y'all don't enjoy this kinda thing. I just don't see why horror fans need to give people a reason to want to play horror (esp touching on difficult topics that have affected us) with a loved one.
Happy gaming 💕
@Samalik Yes he was definitely joking, what I mean is not every game I play with my partner has to be a date night, I just want to hang out and play a genre he loves with him. (We watched Martyrs together and I almost passed out a couple times but it was good to have someone there with me to comfort me)
@Samalik I don't see how it's much different from sitting down with your loved one to play Dead Space, y'know? We're not always trynna "lighten the mood" but everyone has their tastes and you're valid for that.
I love Playtonic but it feels like I JUST finished Yooka 1. I think I'll buy it in support but man, it's been too long since their last new game that I really hope this is a palate cleanser before Twooka-Laylee
I think western inspiration can be good, too. The reason Metal Gear Solid clicked with me was because it felt like an interactive anime made by a guy who loves Western movies. Of course, the games are still unmistakably Japanese so maybe that's not what he's talking about.
@MontyCircus I play half docked-half tabletop. My job has tons of downtime and I've blasted through several games while between phone calls and guests. I understand I'm in an unusual situation, though and I definitely have games I refuse to play handheld because I want a more immersive experience.
@nessisonett I forgot about Disco Elysium's successor. Makes sense because constant growth is never possible; we've watched the bubble burst so many times the industry's starting to look like a boiling pot.
Yikes. Edith Finch devs will probably never release their game about birds, Firewatch Devs ditched their project to work with Valve on Half Life (Honestly I would too) and now we'll never see a proper successor to Inside. So many of my favorite games seem to be the final of their kind. I hope their future projects go well.
I loved THPS3 as a kid, it was the first and last time I remembered seeing a new game show up for N64 at our video rental store. I felt like I was on the bleeding edge when I found that game, legitimately the first new game I ever got and we continued to rent it each time we went out (I don't know why my mom didn't just buy the blasted thing). I can't wait to see how it's been upgraded. I'll buy the pack just for that experience.
I'm working on guiding my bestie/roommate through the greats of gaming history, so she can play the good stuff and skip the garbo. Things like Portal 1, 2, Life is Strange, What Remains of Edith Finch, Bioshock, and recently we started her first Zelda game, Skyward Sword (it's a beginner-friendly game). I hope the movie releases in time for my partner and roommate to watch it with me.
I'm excited for thps3 because that's my childhood. Maybe I'll wait till a physical cart goes down to like 20 bucks and give it a shot. Maybe they'll patch 4 by then.

Re: Borderlands 4 Is Heading To Switch 2 This Year
I'm surprised how much they're leaning away from showing any of the humor. Not complaining, just something I noticed.
Re: Sakurai's 'Kirby Air Riders' Is Speeding Onto Switch 2
I'm not like foaming at the mouth about this but I'll get any game that Sakurai is behind.

Re: Has The Xbox Switch 2 Rival Just Revealed Its True Form?
Looks slick. Hopefully it'll light a fire under the main players' butts but can't glean much quite yet.
Re: Hang On, Are People More Excited For Tomodachi Life Than Switch 2?
I feel like a lot of people heard about this game through word of mouth (hey I put your mii in this and this is what they're doing with Hank Hill), or because their influencer of choice played the game.
Re: Legend Of Zelda Movie Release Date Revealed, Coming March 2027
Oof, I heard fans of the Maze Runner book didn't like the film. Here's hoping this is a better adaptation.
Re: Talking Point: Which Switch Game Needs A 'Nintendo Switch 2 Edition' The Most?

Man, I showed up the day of launch to my local gamestop to grab a Switch. That place has since closed so I wonder what I'll do this time.

Re: A New Tomodachi Life Game Is Coming To Switch Next Year
Yet another game you gotta buy physically just in case... I'm trying to secure another copy right now and my wallet is screaming at the thought.

I'd grab these if I wasn't staying far, far away from Amazon. Great deal, however.
Re: Switch 2 And Other Platforms Can Expect "A Lot More" Xbox Games In 2025
Cool, here's hoping Kojima's OD releases on Switch 2 but I won't hold my breath.

Re: Minecraft Is Getting A Graphics Upgrade
Looks solid. At least it's optional. I can see my roomies and I using this when playing together on PS5.
Re: Feature: "It's A Perversion Of The Whole Thing" - Jeff Minter On Scam Games, Switch 2, And 'I, Robot'
Wow... this definitely has the Llamasoft DNA. I will have to get it for playstation if they're supporting PSVR again, as Polybius was one of the most beautiful gaming experiences in VR.
Re: 'I Hate This Place', An Open-World Survival Horror, Is Bound For Switch
@DashKappei good to know. I guess my brain turned into bloober when I read the tagline. 😵
Still looks stylish

Let's goooo I've liked a lot of Bloober Team's stuff here's hoping this is more "Observer" than "Layers of Fear"

This is the game that made me want to read the story! Highly recommend at least checking out one of the two.
Re: AI Upscaling On Nintendo Switch 2 Is Basically Real Thanks To Updated Patent
Sounds like a use of AI that doesn't threaten anyone's job or make anything actively worse. I'm all for it.

@nessisonett This man gets it. 😭😭😭 We're horror buffs. Dark VNs are his favorite.

This sounds like something my partner would like. Maybe we'll have to play it together.

Re: The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Soundtrack Sounds Expectedly Rockin'
"Not The Same" and "Ace of Spades" were my favorites, so they're accounted for at least. Kendrick is just a bonus to top it off.
Re: PSA: Don't Be Fooled, This Blatant Rip-Off Isn't The 'Content Warning' You Want On Switch
I need to check out Backrooms 1998, to support the actual devs and as a fan of that horror motif, I feel like it's my duty 🫡
Re: Rumour: Xbox Expected To Join Switch 2 With A New Handheld This Year
Go Microsoft, the closer they get to being real competition the harder Nintendo will work to impress us. More competition would be nice.

Re: "The Answer Was Always No" - Ex-Nintendo Employee On Zelda Movie Pitches
I'm working on guiding my bestie/roommate through the greats of gaming history, so she can play the good stuff and skip the garbo. Things like Portal 1, 2, Life is Strange, What Remains of Edith Finch, Bioshock, and recently we started her first Zelda game, Skyward Sword (it's a beginner-friendly game). I hope the movie releases in time for my partner and roommate to watch it with me.
