They provide mostly valid points. Personally I either haven't the eyes to notice the blurring or maybe I haven't seen it in action yet. The screen looks solid to me, even coming fresh off the OLED.
They are right about the larger screen feeling more immersive. I played MKWorld while at an outdoor city band concert and I almost forgot where I was because I was so absorbed in free roam.

I can't wait until the (capital G) gamers have moved on from Switch 2 drama and move their attention to the next lootbox or live-service drama. I'm already so tired of hearing the $80 game drama and "$450 for something that isn't as powerful as a PS5" talking points. The PS5 came out during tough economic times too but people didn't project politics onto you for making a purchase. I just want to play my "bing bing wahoo" games.

I had no problem with digital-only games on Switch 1. In fact, most of my games were purchased digitally. However, for the games I want to keep forever it's really nice to have a cart option that is timeproof. I shudder to think of how expensive Silent Hill 2 PS2 disks are now, but imagine you paid all that and only realize later the game doesn't exist in that form anymore.

Kit just posted a youtube short correcting the headline of this article. Apparently it was a surprise to him that he was an "executive" lmao it may feel wrong to call them "former Nintendo employees" because that doesn't feel very official, but it is accurate.

One game I found issues with is Deadly Premonition. It plays mostly fine, but these geniuses tied the car's speed to the framerate. Now that the framerate is tripled, the car moves at 3x speed. You can play the whole game, but it really takes you out of it. Glad I kept my OG Switch.

I don't mind waiting. There have been three generations now with a 3D Mario soon after release. Breaking the tradition is perfectly fine, we've just been spoiled in the past and DK deserves some love (and I guess the Universal park needs some advertisement)

Very cool but the graphic designer side of me dislikes the typeface for "edition" being so small over top of a complex background.

Omg yes!! I picked up a copy of Boktai a few years back and you can definitely see the Kojima influence there. Too bad the sequel didn't make it outside Japan.

The co-op is something that has me excited. I have a roommate who doesn't do 3D platformers but likes playing support characters for them (pointer star in Galaxy, Bowser Jr. In Fury)

First thing I did was go to the store, buy Cyberpunk and screen protector. I learned my lesson last time I got my phone screen fixed and immediately dropped it while doordashing. My original Switch's screen protector is cracked but the screen itself? Right as rain.

I love how well Fortnite looks and runs now. Been getting my butt kicked for too long on Switch 1 (roommate uses my ps5) and was starting to think I was no good but it turns out I just needed some clarity and added frames. The gyro feels better now too.
Compared it with my PS5, it looks quute similar to how Fortnite used to look on our PS4 and the moody areas really stand out now.

I'm enjoying it, the main complaints I'd have would be software related. In Mario Kart I want to make my own Knockout Tours, I'm saddened by how few there are despite all the possibilities. I would like more battle modes, and confirmation on whether we'll get free updates. Otherwise, I'm really enjoying Yakuza 0 and Cyberpunk. Couldn't be happier to be in the exciting first years of a new generation.

It wouldn't be a Zelda film of we didn't expect delays. How can I be immersed in the Zelda universe if they don't say "please understand" a couple of times?

I think the locked features would have stung a lot less had this been included with the console. It'd be a win-win because it feels substantial but leaves you wanting more, so I don't feel it would have prevented anyone from buying a launch game alongside it.

I'm working on Yakuza 0 right now and my roommates are playing Cyberpunk with me, so I have myself busy in the meantime. Still having conflict over playing this game in VR when I get PSVR2, or just biting the bullet and playing 2d. Guess I'll go for VR.

Nice! Glad to see Welcome Tour being given a fair shake. I'm playing Yakuza 0 and Cyberpunk while I wait for Mr. Kart to arrive tomorrow. Maybe when it shows up I'll be sad that Yakuza has to share time with it.

I just got Welcome Tour. If the game were free with the console nobody would be upset about the need for the accessories, but while I can't currently play all the minigames, I think I'll survive.

Haven't purchased new games for a tick but I'm plugging away at Deadly Premonition and I only have 4 more levels of Doom addons before my 2-year journey finally ends.

I playa lot of niche games, and I don't trust all of them will play properly on the Switch 2's BC emulation, so I'm going to use my og Switch to lend games that may have issues.

I'm too b*mbo mode to ever finish Lorelai but I am still so excited to give this a shot!

@RupeeClock Yes!! They started strong with Demon Turf and I thought every single game would be a banger, like BigMode. Then I played "A Little Golf Story," a subpar mobile game port, and the illusion was broken. I'd prefer if they were lifting up developers that match their identity better.

Too late, already replayed SOMA last year on PS4. It's incredible as always. I'd go for a Switch 2 version but my next replay won't be for another year or two.

However, I'm super happy for the Nintendo-only households that will be able to experience one of the most thought-provoking plots in any game I've seen.

I'm keeping my Switch 1 and it will remain in my family subscription. That way, I can always send a digital game card over there for full compatibility.

I absolutely adore the idea of this game, despite not really being much into point and clicks. You can bet I'll be checking it out. Feels like a game I'll occasionally think about a few years from now, might make me think differently about some things.

I played this a while back and I remember enjoying it a bit. Maybe not enough to double dip but I'll at least redownload the original and try.

As far as simulation games go, I'm hoping for Planet Coaster or a Sims collection of some sort.

While I often prefer tighter, hand-crafted environments, I understand if you want a larger open-world map it's unreasonable for devs fo spend that kind of time handcrafting it. Still, I miss smaller games like Metal Gear Solid 3 or 4, games with large budgets that were all concentrated into small areas that feel like little playgrounds to explore the game mechanics.

It's easy to forget that the game that crashed the Switch 2 Direct was from a pretty big Gameboy series.
My friend and I tried doing a let's play of the original back when everyone and their dog thought they could do a let's play channel.

Also, I loved Gradius 3 on SNES as a kid. Gotta try Interstellar Assault again.

The new designs of Mario and DK characters are growing on me. I adore the new Diddy Kong.

I remember Arlo had a video about the playtest leak, and I watched an hour long video on it. It was like a bunch of monkeys runnin around and trying to get as high up as possible.

If any generation needs a "Nintendo Selects" it'll be Switch 2
