First time I’ve been gobsmacked by a main gen pokemon trailer. This looks phenomenal.

I almost got the Xbox Series S version. I’m most happy with my S2 purchase instead upon reading DF glowing remarks. Can’t wait to get home tonight

The two games are directly linked so there’s some revelations and twists in village that would be completely lost on you and possibly even diminish the experience.
Also I personally think 7 is much better than Village.

MGS4 was such a good movie

Well they can add 1 sale. I purchased both at the weekend at a decent price. I’m enjoying Metroid Prime 4 so far. It looks absolutely stunning in some places.

Skyblock may be worth a new playthrough. Might be enough to convince the little ones that Terraria > Minecraft.. but I doubt it 😂

The only request I have this gen, is an Ocarina of Time Remake. It might not be the time just yet with the film coming up but I think it’s due at some point.

Still knee deep and drowning in iron plates and green circuits on Factorio. I launched my first rocket into space yesterday and now adjusting to the new Space Age mechanics. It’s become evident that the 90 or so hours I spent getting to this point was just a mere dent in the overall surface of this simulator.

The factory must continue to grow.

I decided to start a new factory last night on Factorio . This will be the third base since I picked it up again when the S2 Edition/Space Age DLC came out. So I’ll be knee deep in that. It feels like third time lucky might play a part this time round.

Hey everyone.

This weekend I will be playing Factorio: Space Age, it’s well and truly in my veins again.
To unwind from the factory building, I’ve got Kirby and the Forgotten Land NS2 and Kirby Air Riders, I have a lot of love for the pink gooball lately and it seems so does Nintendo.
Also Hitman WOA; I’m not usually one for realistic violence in video games, but Hitman has that whole slow burn strategic element to it which doesn’t make it completely mindless murder. Also you are hunting some pretty bad dudes and dudettes.

Picked up Nier Automata: The End of Yorha edition and Shinjinkou. Can’t wait to dig into both as long as I stay away from Factorio

Kirby Air Riders is the pure embodiment of what a videogame should be. It’s pure joy and I love it.

If anything the recent “Nintendo Switch 2” game updates are a positive sign of the NS2 floodgates opening and I can’t wait for what 2026 will bring.
Factorio, Divinity OS2, Stardew all in the same month (all my faves as well) and…Skyrim (I’m hopeful it will eventually be patched up).
Any other recent NS2 updates I’ve missed? Has Nintendo Life done an updates article yet?

In terms of what games to play. Of course you have all the Switch 2 software, but give some of your old switch games a go on it, you’ll find a new lease of life in a lot of them with loading, frame rate and resolution boosts

Blade Chimera was my pick. Was a nice digestible action metroidvania that didn’t overstay its welcome.

Just booted it up. No mouse controls but it runs smooth as butter and looks crisper. Very quick load times as well. Will be interesting to see what the bigger fights will be like because there were major frame drops in the Switch version. Overall it’s come at the perfect time, just last night I was saying I hope it gets the S2 treatment and lo and behold, get it the very next day.
To everyone in the chat who hasn’t played it or bought it and didn’t stick with it long enough. Give it a go. Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of the greatest CRPGS ever made.

Also I think this might be a good sign that Larian will continue gracing the Switch 2 with their games. BG3 and Divinity incoming 👀

No way! I redownloaded the game after the brutal announcement at the game awards. Getting on this immediately!

I’ve put a good 50 hrs into Kirby Air Riders. I think with the game in its current state, I could easily put in another 50 or so more. An amazing game, having so much fun with it.

This might be the most logical thing Nintendo has done.

Let’s hear everyone’s predictions for top3 played games. No checking your playtime or switch apps please.
I think mine will be
1.The Binding of Isaac: Repentance - easily put about 400 hrs into this beginning of the year bringing my total playtime to around 1300 hrs in 8 years.
2. Ball x Pit - hitting around the 155 hr mark.
3. Battle Brothers - 130 hrs I think.

Runners up - SMTVengence and Powerwash Simulator 2

Divinity Original Sin 2 was one of the greatest shadow drops on Switch 1 ever. (I think it was a shadow drop 🙃). Will happily welcome anything from Larian with their track record. BG3 anyone?

Kirby Air Riders babey. It’s the kinda gaming experience I’ve been craving for years without realising. Some Ball x Pit, Powerwash Simulator and Dragon Quest III Hd2D in between.

Incredibly late to the party but I got this last weekend and it’s easily my GOTY. I love everything about it. MKW won’t be getting any playtime for the foreseeable.

Ordered a copy this morning. Looking forward to this tomorrow. My daughters will love it as well. Can’t wait to share it with them

I’ll be playing Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. I love how old school it is and absolutely adore the art style. It’s also got some challenge in it as well.

Other than that, I’ve still got balls on my mind, NG++ balls that is.
Also PowerWash Simulator 2 for the quiet moments in between.

Amazing to see more Switch 2 updates rolling out. They seem to be getting more frequent so does this mean dev kits are becoming more readily available?

With the odd exception here and there, my Switch 2 is only going to have Switch 2 games/versions on it.

Not quite a traditional point and click but Disco Elysium could be seen as an incredibly in depth Adventure game with deep conversation mechanics. Lots of item experimentation as well

The granddaddy of Roguelikes, the benchmark of almost endless replayability. What most Roguelikes aspire and fail to be. I’ve been chasing the Roguelike dragon ever since I first played this and nothing has topped it.

I will get the physical to honor the 1000s of hours I’ve made on the digital version.

All I can think about this weekend is balls.

Omgosh I can’t wait to lose another 1000 hours to Factorio.

This is great news tbh. I played the hell out of this on Xbox Series S. I’m glad they are taking their time with it and ensuring the quality is there. Will be double dipping easily if performance is upto scratch

I was sold at the first direct. I’ll avoid watching this. Takes away the enjoyment of discovering things yourself. I’m sure it’s going to be a cracking direct with Sakarai San holding the reins though. Enjoy everyone

Saw the hype in the chat about Ball x Pit. Saw it was 10/10 on steam. Saw it was published by Devolver. I didn’t even know what it was about. I bought it. I’ve made a grave mistake. This is the kind of game that ends marriages. Just as well I’m divorced 🤣

It might be a bit early but I’m starting to get into the Halloween spirit. I’ve downloaded a few horror games that I’ll be playing over the next few weeks, Labyrinth of the Demon King, World of Horror, Dusk, PARANORMASIGHT, Halloween vs Ash vs the Evil Dead
I will be playing some Final Fantasy Tactics inbetween. It’s my first playthrough and I can definitely see such the appeal when it came out back in the day. It certainly holds up.

I made the conscious decision to stop impulse buying everything about a year ago. Like it was bad, most of those impulse buys I haven’t even been played. My backlog is disgusting.
I’m now a lot better, one AAA game every so often and the odd indie here and there.
I definitely feel less anxious about my hobby let’s put it that way. 😅
