Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"

Neckcrane

The realistic plan for me was getting the MKW bundle and then next payday, I’ll pick up a third party game (most likely Cyberpunk), although I’m wondering if I might just be satisfied with the TOTK upgrade.
The other factor to consider is that many of us probably have a huge backlog of switch 1 games somewhat removing the direct need for new games. I’m having a great time testing out performance boosts for my favourite switch games. Check out Switchup on YouTube, they’re doing a great series replaying old games and the results are mostly brilliant.
The other factor and most deciding is money.

On Thursday, I managed to complete Nintendo Switch Stock Checker on Google Chrome. A long tedious game that requires quite a bit of patience. Bloody great ending though. With that out the way, I’ve finally got round to Mario Kart World and oh my. I also have my girls for father’s day so we know what we’re doing all day tomorrow 😁 MK party!

Re: Poll: With One Week To Go, What Are Your Switch 2 Launch-Day Plans?

For me, operation backlog will be continuing on the NS. I am in absolutely no rush to get the NS2, I’m still hyped to get it one day but for the moment, I’m happy with my current collection and seeing how the launch goes. I look forward to hearing everyone talking about it though. Exciting times to be a gamer.

Operation shave away at the backlog before Switch 2 continues. I’m playing between Astral Ascent, Darkest Dungeon 2, Neon White and attempting some arcade runs on Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, mainly Alpha 3.
I saw the ending of Shotgun Cop Man yesterday, now it’s time to clean up the level checklists.

With all the Switch 2 hype, it’s made me realise I may not get the chance to get through my huge back catalogue so I’ve made it my mission to get through some old unfinished games.
Starting with Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy, man I forgot how tough this game was and I played it back on the ps1 when I was 10 and I don’t remember it being this difficult. Old man reaction times. Very much enjoying it though, going for perfect scores and time trials is going to be a challenge.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct?

Neckcrane

Brilliant presentation. Showcased so much of the console, they gave us answers and not left much else to speculation. The only down point of the whole thing is the paid for tech demo, it’s 1-2 Switch all over again but worse. But hey, you don’t have to buy it. Other than that, I can not wait. Exciting time to be a gamer

Saw the great review score for Sorry We’re Closed and instantly purchased. Been playing since Thursday and enjoying so far. So will be mainly playing that.
The Stone of Madness had a recent QOL patch so going to see if that’s in a better state and crack on with that as well.

Re: Best Wario Games Of All Time

I cannot understate the day my Mum told me she got a new Mario game for me and how disappointed (and equally ungrateful) 8 year old me was to read “Warioland: Super Mario Land 3”. Little did I know that it would quickly become my favourite Gameboy game of all time.

Re: Review: Turbo Overkill (Switch) - Ridiculous, Relentless Boomer Shooter Gets A Solid Port

I’ve been playing this since its release on Switch. I love it!
The movement and traversal system once it clicks, is just superb. It’s a perfect blend of Doom Eternal and Titanfall. The guns are big and crunchy and the bullets are always flowing.
There’s a decent story with voice acting (Cyberpunk Revenge story with end of Days Doom like world building (/destroying?) on top).
The level design is mostly pretty great with huge arenas to battle gauntlets of enemies. Odd questionable level design here and there though but this is very few and far between. Levels can last between 20 to 50 minutes on first play through. Lots of secrets to find. There are some amazing action movie like set pieces that’ll blow your mind.
Controls are incredibly responsive in terms of traversal. Auto aim is your friend. But manual aiming is a bit naff, the game is sooo quick and would benefit from Gyro cus the stick aiming is too slow, and is over sensitive to tuning. No option to remap buttons either.
Performance is not bad, there are small frame dips on the really busy sections but does not detract from the fast gameplay and the 100s of enemies coming at you at once. Graphics are old school with modern touches.
In terms of value for money, this costs about 15/16 quid. Some insane amount content here for that price. A fully fleshed out campaign, arcade and survival modes. Five difficulties. I haven’t even mentioned the sublime techno soundtrack. The game is not perfect but has easily become my favourite game of the year so far.

TL:DR - This is Cyberpunk Eternal.
