Re: Video: How To Build A 'Real' House In Pokémon Pokopia

Liam_Doolan

@Metazoxan Yeah, that's it - the game directly prompts the player about the furnishing requirements. Whereas the video's aim here was to raise awareness about the part before this, that some people might not actually know about.

I spoke to someone who was in the early stages of the game that didn't know how to make a house like this.

I'm not personally doing the guide coverage for this game on the site, but I expect we'll properly flesh out everything over time and go into more detail in each guide.

@Waluigi451 I've updated the story with a mention of the requirements.

We're still busy fleshing out our guides, so I'd expect we'll share a more detailed standalone article/video at some point about home and furnishing requirements (and how exactly the interactions work with Pokémon during this phase).

Re: Video: How To Build A 'Real' House In Pokémon Pokopia

@MegaVel91 I'm aware of the furniture requirements a Pokémon needs to move in.

To reiterate, the video above isn't specifically about that part, it's focused on the few basic steps it takes to officially register/activate an "empty house" in the game.

We thought beginners might be interested to know about this, if they weren't already aware of it.

@moonblastx We didn't go into the living and furnishing requirements in this video. This is a few simple steps to let beginners know how to activate a house in the game, if they weren't already aware of it.

I'm not sure if we have a guide here on the site detailing the living and furnishing requirements just yet, but I'll make a note of it.

Re: Free-To-Play Racer Asphalt Legends Gets A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Liam_Doolan

@rjejr Gameloft announced the Switch 2 Edition of Disney Dreamlight the other week (and it's due out in March), so it's basically just the timing of that announcement and this particular release being so close together. We also want to promote our most recent news stories whenever we can.

As for Gear Club, it's out this week, and I'm not sure if it will be getting much coverage here on NL - so this is just a timely reminder when we're already talking about another car game.

I'll keep an eye on the Speedstorm news. I did give the game a go at launch, but didn't really go back to it. Most of my time last year was spent in Mario Kart and Sonic Racing. I've added our most recent Speedstorm story to the 'Related Articles' section.

Re: WWE 2K26 Launches For Switch 2 This March, Includes New Motion-Based Features

Liam_Doolan

@AussieMcBucket The "motion-based features" are mentioned in the second line. From the PR:

"New Motion-Based Nintendo Switch 2 Features"

"WWE 2K26 on Nintendo Switch 2 will offer several additional features made possible through Nintendo Switch 2's unique hardware, including touchscreen and mouse support, GameShare and GameChat, support for single Joy-Con gameplay, and the ability to use mouse controls in Creation Suite for face and body painting. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will also now support Image Uploader and cross-platform Community Creations."

Nintendo's site also shares some information about this:

"JOY-CON™ 2 MOUSE SUPPORT
WWE 2K26 on Nintendo Switch™ 2 includes mouse support using the JOY-CON™ 2 controllers. Mouse support includes navigation of the menus and for use within Creations."

Hope that helps.

Re: Nintendo Music Revives A Wii Banger In Final Update Of 2025

Liam_Doolan

@NFrealinkling I pulled the screenshot from one of our older features, and yeah - it's actually a Wii U Party screenshot. Updated!

I'll admit, I played Wii Sports, Resort, Wii Play, Wii Fit and Wii Music, but I never played Wii Party (or the one on Wii U). I did revisit the Wii Sports games in Wii Sports Club on the U.

Re: Round Up: Every Switch And Switch 2 Announcement From The PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted 2025

Liam_Doolan

@PikaPhantom The PR we got today says it's still on the way, but it only mentions pre-orders for Switch 2.

"MIO: Memories In Orbit launches on January 20, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Pre-orders are now live on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 — with a 10% discount available on all platforms (on PS5, the discount is reserved for PS Plus subscribers).

Pre-orders on Nintendo Switch 2 will open on December 22."

Some PR materials published today also show the Switch logo:

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment In-Store Demos Now Available (North America)

Liam_Doolan

@rjejr Considering AOC's Expansion Pass and the history of the Warriors series, it wouldn't be a surprise if we got DLC for AOI at some point.

@Styledvinny79 Here's our TGS hands on: https://www.nintendolife.com/previews/feature-zelda-layton-mega-man-10-games-we-played-at-tgs-2025-coming-to-switch-1-and-2#hyrule-warriors-age-of-imprisonment-switch-2

Player reports of this in-store demo also sound pretty happy with the game's performance.
