Hey folks, I've updated one segment of this story to clarify fan conversation about the latest game's budget is speculative and based on unconfirmed leaks.
@AussieMcBucket The "motion-based features" are mentioned in the second line. From the PR:
"New Motion-Based Nintendo Switch 2 Features"
"WWE 2K26 on Nintendo Switch 2 will offer several additional features made possible through Nintendo Switch 2's unique hardware, including touchscreen and mouse support, GameShare and GameChat, support for single Joy-Con gameplay, and the ability to use mouse controls in Creation Suite for face and body painting. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will also now support Image Uploader and cross-platform Community Creations."
Nintendo's site also shares some information about this:
"JOY-CON™ 2 MOUSE SUPPORT
WWE 2K26 on Nintendo Switch™ 2 includes mouse support using the JOY-CON™ 2 controllers. Mouse support includes navigation of the menus and for use within Creations."
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's technical director followed up this announcement with the full list of Game Gear titles, so I've updated the post with this information.
"Nintendo has previously mentioned how it will continue to add new Switch games to the voucher program throughout 2026, even though it's ending the sale of vouchers."
This is also mentioned on Nintendo's website, so you should be right.
@NFrealinkling I pulled the screenshot from one of our older features, and yeah - it's actually a Wii U Party screenshot. Updated!
I'll admit, I played Wii Sports, Resort, Wii Play, Wii Fit and Wii Music, but I never played Wii Party (or the one on Wii U). I did revisit the Wii Sports games in Wii Sports Club on the U.
@Daniel36 Yes, before console, Nitrome did a lot of web browser and mobile games. I remember playing Skywire back in the day after seeing this trailer.
@PikaPhantom The PR we got today says it's still on the way, but it only mentions pre-orders for Switch 2.
"MIO: Memories In Orbit launches on January 20, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Pre-orders are now live on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 — with a 10% discount available on all platforms (on PS5, the discount is reserved for PS Plus subscribers).
Pre-orders on Nintendo Switch 2 will open on December 22."
_
Some PR materials published today also show the Switch logo:
@the_beaver True, I've updated the post to reflect this. As for Switch 2 base game pricing, I've checked official Koei Tecmo channels and the eShop and can't seem to find any mention of it just yet. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the PR materials either, but there are some online retailer listings in certain regions.
Hey folks, apologies for any confusion here - I'm not sure what happened, but there was a mix up with the patch notes. That's quickly been corrected now, so you should see today's notes for 10th November 2025.
@Aswannsong Nintendo actually has HW:AoI in its "Upcoming First-Party Nintendo Switch 2 Titles" slide (in its latest financial PDF). Along with this is the attached message:
"Note: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be licensed to be released and sold as a Nintendo Product outside of Japan."
@rjejr That's according to Nintendo PR 😅 "The full Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment game is available Nov. 6, only for the Nintendo Switch 2 system."
@LastFootnote Ubisoft's words: "A free demo for Star Wars Outlaws™ is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo gives players access to a part of the game for up to three hours"
Some demos are locked behind pre-orders etc nowadays (e.g. certain Activision releases), so some developers like to clarify their demos are free.
"Will be released on all platforms (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Steam®, Nintendo Switch™2) on Thursday, October 23rd, the same day the Nintendo Switch™ 2 version is released."
@PeterTomlan86 Yes, just to make it clear - this item will return at some point in the future. Here's the fine print about this from the 'Ranked' section in-game:
"The Mega Stone obtainable as a promotion reward during this season is planned to be redistributed in future seasons."
@Smithicus Unless a score is set to "pending", when a review is published, the score is final.
In some cases, we might add a note to a review about an issue or if a post-launch update addresses a problem. Here's an example of this in our recent Hitman review:
If a developer/publisher mentions any problems before launching a game, we may also acknowledge this within a review (and whether or not there are plans for an update).
@Darthmoogle That was direct from Bandai Namco. Updated.
"Dragon Ball DAIMA: Character Pack 2 expands on the game’s roster of 180+ fighters, introducing six new characters, including iconic additions from the Dragon Ball DAIMA anime series: Goku (Mini), Super Saiyan 4; Goku (DAIMA), Super Saiyan 4; Vegeta (DAIMA), Super Saiyan 3; Majin Duu; Third Eye Gomah; and Giant Gomah."
"Each version has different graphical specifications based on the hardware's processing capabilities. However, there are no differences in the story, game content, or in which items can be obtained."
@KoiTenchi I did consider covering 'Basketball Classics' and leaving it at that, but as there are seven other games here already confirmed for console platforms, there's a chance at least some of them will end up on the eShop. As mentioned, the Katanaut dev seems to be open to a Nintendo release as well.
Sometimes we also cross-post certain stories on our sibling sites.
Personally, I don't mind the look of HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate - as mentioned by @Bizzyb it's giving off a mix of Jet Set Radio and SSX vibes.
@JumpingJackson It's our tags at the top of each story and how they're ordered. So anything with a "Pokémon" tag is yellow, stories tagged with "Fire Emblem" and "Metroid" are purple, Kirby / Princess Peach - pink, Yoshi - green, Sonic - blue, Switch and Switch 2 tags are red, etc. And yeah, in most cases, it depends on the order of the tags as to what colour takes priority.
@Hardcore0bject In general, we often get PR announcements/releases like this for one region and other regions follow not long after, but this isn't always the case.
The PR quoted is the only info we've received about the locations of this release so far (keep in mind it's now the weekend as well): "players of the Americas with a Nintendo Switch 2"

@Vyacheslav333 It's an exciting announcement in the pinball space (and it's Pokémon's big anniversary), so I think it deserves its own post.

@LimitedPower As noted in the story:

This is also mentioned on Nintendo's website, so you should be right.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight For Switch Receives Another Switch 2 Backwards Compatibility Update
@BaldB3lper78 By the looks of it, we don't have anything planned at the moment.
We'll probably wait and see if there are any other significant updates / if any major upgrades come along.
If we got something big like a Switch 2 upgrade (like what happened with Skyrim recently), we'll likely revisit it.
Re: Batman: Arkham Knight For Switch Receives Another Switch 2 Backwards Compatibility Update
@Spider-Kev Updated the post with this, cheers.

Re: Switch 2 Has The Largest Third-Party Software Lineup Ever For New Nintendo Hardware
@Aswannsong Nintendo actually has HW:AoI in its "Upcoming First-Party Nintendo Switch 2 Titles" slide (in its latest financial PDF). Along with this is the attached message:
"Note: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be licensed to be released and sold as a Nintendo Product
outside of Japan."
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment In-Store Demos Now Available (North America)
@rjejr Considering AOC's Expansion Pass and the history of the Warriors series, it wouldn't be a surprise if we got DLC for AOI at some point.
@Styledvinny79 Here's our TGS hands on: https://www.nintendolife.com/previews/feature-zelda-layton-mega-man-10-games-we-played-at-tgs-2025-coming-to-switch-1-and-2#hyrule-warriors-age-of-imprisonment-switch-2
Player reports of this in-store demo also sound pretty happy with the game's performance.
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment In-Store Demos Now Available (North America)
@rjejr That's according to Nintendo PR 😅 "The full Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment game is available Nov. 6, only for the Nintendo Switch 2 system."

@HugoGED I've added the message from the Japanese store listing.👍
Re: Reminder: Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws Demo For Switch 2 Is Now Available
To avoid any further confusion here, I've updated the headline.
And just to clarify once more - the demo is a free download and the play time is up to three hours. From Ubisoft.com:
"A free demo for Star Wars Outlaws™ is now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The demo gives players access to a part of the game for up to three hours"
https://news.ubisoft.com/en-ca/article/78gFsQbyjx5lEpdbbYyffs/star-wars-outlaws-free-demo-now-available-on-nintendo-switch-2
Hope that clears it up.
Demo is 12.9 GB, according to my download.
Re: Reminder: Ubisoft's "Free" Star Wars Outlaws Demo For Switch 2 Is Now Available

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Ranked Battles Season 1 Now Live, Reach 'Rank K' For A Special Reward
@PeterTomlan86 Yes, just to make it clear - this item will return at some point in the future. Here's the fine print about this from the 'Ranked' section in-game:
"The Mega Stone obtainable as a promotion reward during this season is planned to be redistributed in future seasons."

Re: Borderlands 4 On Switch 2 Won't Support Split-Screen Couch Co-Op
@Alaninho We covered this in the previous story:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2025/07/borderlands-4-on-switch-2-will-mostly-run-at-30fps
Re: Borderlands 4 On Switch 2 Won't Support Split-Screen Couch Co-Op
@The-Chosen-one As quoted in the story above:
"Switch 2 players will have the same exciting Borderlands 4 experience as other platforms minus the split-screen option"
The specific platforms supporting split-screen: "Up to 2 players in splitscreen couch co-op on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S"
https://borderlands.2k.com/borderlands-4/faq/#:~:text=Yes%2C%20you%20can%20play%20co,and%20Xbox%20Series%20X%7CS.
As for previous Borderlands games on the original Switch, The Legendary Collection supported split-screen, but BL3 didn't.
