Re: Random: "Ultimate Console Database" Secures Ultra Rare Nintendo Labo Switch

@chagrined Yes - there were seven units in the west, as noted by the source. Update: The source has now updated the total to 10 - so it seems to be factoring in Japan's contest as well: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/labo/contest/index.html

I've still got some of the original PRs in my inbox and Nintendo gave out three of these units in AUNZ. We did cover it at the time (you left a comment, I see): https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/10/australia_and_new_zealand_nintendo_labo_contest_winners_include_life-size_master_cycle_zero_and_toy-con_marionette

3 in AU
3 in EU - https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/09/europe_nintendo_labo_contest_winners_include_glow_in_the_dark_luigis_mansion_and_alien_game 2 x Spain winner, 1 x France winner (three categories - creation, customisation and kids)
2 in US - "2 Grand Prize winners will each receive one (1) collectible Nintendo Switch system"
3 in Japan

So now the number is at 11, going down a rabbit hole here...

Re: Mortal Kombat 1 "Gameplay Premiere" Scheduled For 8th June

@Zach777 Here's what Ed Boon had to say about MK1 in a recent live stream (via PCGamesN):

“Mortal Kombat 1 is the beginning of a universe. It is not a continuation of the Mortal Kombat 11 story so the characters have completely different roles in this new timeline and we really wanted to emphasize that with our title.

“This is Mortal Kombat 1, it’s a brand new beginning, you’re going to be seeing these characters reintroduced with new roles, new relationships, and that’s the main catalyst for it.”

Re: Dimps' Legendary Fighter The Rumble Fish 2 Locks In December Switch Release

@Serpenterror Apparently it was intentional. Here's what the game's main planner said about it (via Gematsu):

What’s the origin of the title’s name, The Rumble Fish?

Oomori: “If you put two Rumble Fish in one tank, they’ll fight until one of them dies–until it’s torn to shreds. I thought that was interesting. And they’re so beautiful. They have this striking beauty to them, but also an extremely aggressive nature. And I believe we talked about the breaking parts system. The way they tear each other up was an inspiration for that.”

Re: Nintendo Introduces New Fire Emblem Engage Characters

@Chocobo_Shepherd @ThePizzaCheese According to Serenes Forest, the twin brother's name is tentative. So that's why the name was left out of the tagline. I've updated the post to reflect this.

I've also seen the official FE account and other websites referring to him as 'Clan' (source: Perfectly-Nintendo). We might just have to wait for an official western reveal at this stage to find out the final name. Localisation might also mean it's different.
