@Zyph But was Nintendo really an "entertainment company" during Reggie's time? Brushing aside its history of love hotels and playing cards, it's really only been known as a video game company in modern times.

I agree with Doug here that Nintendo is on the way - or at least in his words "evolving" into something bigger, potentially. And it's really only kicked off around 2021 - with the launch of these other projects (theme parks and movies) which require huge sums of money but also have huge financial returns.

I should note, I do respect the fact that others could see Nintendo from a completely different perspective.

“This is Mortal Kombat 1, it’s a brand new beginning, you’re going to be seeing these characters reintroduced with new roles, new relationships, and that’s the main catalyst for it.”

I've updated the tagline to make it clear that the mechanic in this game isn't tied to real money transactions.

We've also had some readers asking us not to reveal TotK spoilers in headlines, so that's why there's no mention (or lead image) of a "giant gacha machine" in this case.

@grovertheblue The only thing CDPR has officially confirmed for Switch at this stage is the Netflix DLC.

As @WallyWest said, Switch might get some QoL stuff. This could include the "camera, controls and UI changes" along with some fixes.
