Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Credits Confirm The Voice Actors Behind DK And Pauline

Liam_Doolan

@LazyDaisy There's obviously some speculation online, but to clarify, we're definitely not suggesting Pauline's existing VA has been replaced. I've made a slight update to hopefully make this a bit clearer.

As for Jenny Kidd, based on what I've played of DKB - I think she's doing a great job voicing the younger version of Pauline. I've found her lines to be some of the highlights so far.

Re: Little Nightmares 3 And Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition Announced For Switch 2

Liam_Doolan

@invictus4000 From the official FAQ:

Do people who already own Little Nightmares (2017) be able to play the early access of Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition?

"The early access is only accessible throughout Little Nightmares III digital pre-orders. However, at launch, players who own Little Nightmares (2017) on PlayStation, Xbox and PC will receive the upgraded version for free."

Regarding Switch and Switch 2:

Is the upgrade from Little Nightmares to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition free for Nintendo Switch owners?

"Due to technical constraints, owners of Nintendo Switch consoles and Little Nightmares (2017) won’t be able to get access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. They will need to buy again the game on Nintendo Switch 2. As a reminder, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition is only playable on Nintendo Switch 2 and not Nintendo Switch."

@nhSnork According to some PR (via Gematsu):

"Game saves cannot be transferred from Little Nightmares (the base version) to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition (and vice versa)."

Re: LEGO Fortnite's Switch 2 Release Will Be Followed By A New Game Mode Next Week

Liam_Doolan

@Khwarezm89 @darkswabber To clarify, our game page on NL (at least for now) is simply 'Lego Fortnite' to cover this whole Lego game universe Epic has created - so the following is currently lumped under this:

  • Lego Fortnite Odyssey
  • Lego Fortnite Brick Life
  • Lego Fortnite Expeditions

@Chlocean I gave it a go earlier on - it's definitely a huge step up on the Switch version!

Re: Ubisoft's Switch 2 Physical Release Of Star Wars Outlaws Is A "Game-Key Card"

Liam_Doolan

@vincentgoodwin As noted in the story, this might not be the most surprising news (to everyone), but this is the very 'first' game Ubisoft is releasing on the Switch 2 - so I'd say it is worth highlighting. It's also of general interest to the community as mentioned by @SailorDonut.

@Spider-Kev Not yet, but you can check existing listings on places like Steam and Xbox to get a rough idea.

Re: Switch 2's Dock Isn't Compatible With The Original Switch, According To Nintendo

Liam_Doolan

@ProNerdy This info about the HDMI cable comes from GamesRadar+:

"an alternative accessory compatibility page specifically says you should use the Switch 2 "Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable" that's included in the box. That terminology is typically used to refer to faster HDMI 2.1 cables, but the one you'll be getting with the handheld will be HDMI 2.0 since the system won't be hitting 4K 120Hz like the PS5 or Xbox Series X."

https://www.gamesradar.com/platforms/nintendo-switch-2/nintendo-says-your-old-switch-hdmi-cable-isnt-compatible-with-the-switch-2-but-id-argue-thats-not-strictly-true-or-helpful/

Update: To avoid any further confusion, we'll go with Nintendo's official description for now "Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable".
