I've updated this article to make mention of the fact The Gunk is being made by a 25-person team and that it's working on a 3D game in a commercial engine for the first time ever.

The promotional artwork shows the protagonist holding a weapon of sorts. So I guess there's at least some combat mixed in with the puzzle and survival elements. Here's a bit more from the PR:

@RazumikhinPG This news post is based on the English PR and there's no mention of a physical release for the west.

A physical premium edition is coming out in Japan on October 15th. It may / may not include English language support - can't guarantee anything. Pre-orders are available now on Amazon Japan.

Update: Oh, Play-Asia as well, but there's no mention of multi-language support. Fingers crossed.

Back on topic, I would love to be able to play PSO2 on my Nintendo Switch.

The Xbox and PC version isn't even available in my region, so I had to change my location settings just to download it. It's been great so far, and I'll definitely be checking out this revamped version, if possible.

@super08mario I've spoken to GoNintendo, and they told me multiple YouTubers have been contacted (BeatEmUps is just one example).

At this point, it appears to be tied to YouTube channels, but it may go beyond this. If I hear anything else, I'll update the story.

@Ninfan Stability, but if you want to go deeper, here's some additional info from the Switch homebrew community via Wccftech:

"today’s system update updates the Switch OS's certificate store, which contains all of the files that the Switch uses to help identify servers as trustworthy (HTTPS)"

A filter icon was also recently added to the sales section of the Switch eShop.

Behaviour Interactive is referring to her as Cheryl Mason, so I guess that's what she'll be officially known as in this DLC.
