I have been gaming a lot and consistently ever since my Atari 2600 in the early 1980s and have never once in my life needed to repair a controller. I simply cannot wrap my head around all of this stuff.
I remember buying Superman 64 for $70 back in 1999 (adjusted for inflation, that would make it $132 in 2025). Pretty sure the extra $10 for Mario Kart Wold is going to be worth the investment.
The My Retro Life channel is a blast to watch. The fact that his father had so much home video footage of Tyler's life and how much of it revolved around video games is so enjoyable from a nostalgic standpoint. I seemed to have quite a few similar experiences growing up...just no video proof.
I will always feel like the Wii U Gamepad is by far the most comfortable controller I've ever used. The size, weight and button placement were perfect.
As long as it doesn't have a chibi aesthetic, I'd buy 73 copies of a Masters of the Universe game if were a beat 'em up and as good as Shredder's Revenge. MOTU is simply one of the most iconic toy and cartoon brands ever! Here are a few that I'd love to have beat 'em up, action, or metroidvanias of:
1. Masters of the Universe 2. She-Ra Princess of Power 3. Thundercats 4. Silverhawks 5. G.I. Joe 6. Transformers 7. Inhumanoids 8. Bravestarr 9. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors 10. M.A.S.K. 11. C.O.P.S. 12. Dino Riders 13. Sectaurs 14. Tiger Sharks 15. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs 16. Captain Power 17. Bucky O'Hare 18. Voltron 19. Visionaries 20. Garbage Pail Kids
I have tried many times over the last 30+ years and I just don't "get" turn-based RPGs. I think, more than anything, it's the feeling that I'm not actually controlling the player rather than telling it what to do and waiting for it to happen. I did find Earthbound enjoyable but I just used "auto" for the entire game.
@RevrsblSedgewick Wasn't Agahnim just a priest/wizard trying to resurrect Ganon? Perhaps he was "possessed" by Ganon? Perhaps he was a chosen form of Ganon in the Light World. Zelda lore is rather tricky to figure out.
I wish both joy cons had the sticks at the top. I really can't stand the asymmetric sticks and both down low like on PS isn't always that comfortable. I still find the Wii U Gamepad to be the perfect setup and controller.
BotW had too many weapons that were essentially the same thing. I’d rather there be fewer weapons overall but they can all be upgraded in very different ways.
Maybe I'm just dense but how would they be able to remove Warbirds from a physical copy? Couldn't you just delete the game and reinsert the cartridge without the new update?
Probably my favorite Taito game memory from my childhood was Rastan. I used to stand on a step stool next to my brother at the arcade so I was high enough to see the screen and watch him get several stages into it on a single quarter.

We need Eternal Darkness!!
Re: PSA: Switch 2 Restocks Are Now Available At Multiple Stores In The US
I can't seem to find a case for the Switch 2 anywhere. Online seems to be sold out or long, long wait times for delivery.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Four More Titles
No matter how many times I’ve tried, turn-based RPGs aren’t for me.

I always wondered what could have been done with P.N.03 if they had fleshed it out a little better.
Re: Feature: Samus' Suits, Ranked - Every Metroid Box Art Suit Design, From Worst To Best
The Fusion Suit is BY FAR my least favorite.
Can’t believe the list didn’t include the bikini after you beat the game the fastest to get the best ending.
Re: Talking Point: What Are The Worst Parts Of Your Favourite Games?
NES Ninja Gaiden stage 6-2
Stupid flying ninjas with throwing stars still make me want to smash my controller.

Accidentally updated to 1.1.2. Is there any way to go back to a previous build of the game?

I fused a shield to my shield a few times. Increases durability.

Re: Feature: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gameplay Trailer - Every New Detail Revealed
To all of the complainers:
I'm fairly confident that Nintendo knows how to make a good game and has done so with Tears of the Kingdom.
Re: Feature: Samus' Suits, Ranked - Every Metroid Box Art Suit Design, From Worst To Best
The Fusion suit is hands down the worst of all of them.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Metroid Prime Remastered
@jump I don't understand what the situation with the doors is. I read the article but it didn't exactly mean much without a side-by-side visual.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda Should Be Given The Paper Mario Treatment
I would definitely go for a Zeldavania (or rather a Linkvania) game.
Re: Talking Point: So, When Will Nintendo Announce Its Next Console?
In a weird (hypocritical) way, I wish we could go back to the days of only getting new info once a month in a print magazine.

Re: Talking Point: Which Zelda-Themed Nintendo Console Has The Best Design?
The Skyward Sword Gold Wii-mote also had a matching gold nunchuck which was a Club Nintendo shop exclusive, if I remember right.
