I know this seems overly simplified but if Nintendo decided to go with a proprietary replaceable battery, wouldn't that guarantee it will eventually become completely unplayable once parts are not longer available versus using batteries that are now just somewhat inconvenient to replace but easy to come by?

Love this style going all the way back to Maniac Mansion on NES. Thimbleweed Park is the most recent I've played in the genre so this is a happy surprise and definitely on my radar!

They gave us something but mostly nothing just to build the anticipation. Prefect marketing strategy to keep us talking and speculating.

Easily the biggest flaw with the GameCube app is the lack of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem. Please fix that, Nintendo.

I'm mostly excited for when they allow you to change the display color to Gameboy green.

Still have to use waggle for Yoshi to use his tongue, unfortunately. I just wish I could push a button for that action.

@cvrator I'm completely on board with a NES Max re-release. My left thumb can barely handle the directional buttons on any controller too and the DS Lite is to blame for my issue.

Honestly, I want more of the game. What I played was enjoyable but it felt like they were holding back ideas/environments/plot for the next game in the series.

I have been gaming a lot and consistently ever since my Atari 2600 in the early 1980s and have never once in my life needed to repair a controller. I simply cannot wrap my head around all of this stuff.

I can't seem to find a case for the Switch 2 anywhere. Online seems to be sold out or long, long wait times for delivery.

Skip buying three drinks from Starbucks and...BAM!!!...you can suddenly afford the $20 increase of a 1st party Nintendo game.

I want mine to run in 240i at 360fps.

And yet we have no idea when we can pre-order the Switch 2 in NA.

I wonder if the original Switch Pro Controller will be compatible with the Switch 2.

I remember buying Superman 64 for $70 back in 1999 (adjusted for inflation, that would make it $132 in 2025). Pretty sure the extra $10 for Mario Kart Wold is going to be worth the investment.

I have over 2,000 hours on my original joy cons and no drift on either one.

Now I just want to know a release date for Metroid Prime Beyond. Hopefully launch or at least close to it.

This kind of leads me to think the "C" button might stand for "chat" for Switch 2.

The My Retro Life channel is a blast to watch. The fact that his father had so much home video footage of Tyler's life and how much of it revolved around video games is so enjoyable from a nostalgic standpoint. I seemed to have quite a few similar experiences growing up...just no video proof.
