Re: Best Of 2022: Which Zelda Game Should You Play First?

It depends on the gaming experience of the player. About a year ago, I watched my nephew, who was 4 years old at the time, struggle tremendously with dual analog sticks and the sheer number of inputs on Super Mario Odyssey and figuring out where he was in the stage but he was able to at least control Link, make some reasonable progress and recognize where he was at with Link’s Awakening on the Switch. Which one do you think he plays more now? 3D games are not always the best place to start.

@xmkbest @Kidfunkadelic83 I’ve had to unplug my Samsung 4K TV for a while after turning off HDMI-CEC. According to Samsung, it clears some sort of settings retention bug. All of my devices (PS4/5, Switch, AppleTV, etc.) go haywire with flashing blackouts when it gets stuck in the weird HDMI-CEC loop. Unplugging the TV for 10 minutes or so usually does the trick.

Re: 1,000 "Digital-Only" Titles Estimated To Disappear When Nintendo Closes 3DS & Wii U eShop

@Hikingguy I completely understand where you’re coming from.

I think we should all be fair and realistic. If the store costs more to keep open than the sales warrant, why would Nintendo keep it going? Also, say the companies that made the games signed a 10 year contract with Nintendo to allow their game(s) on the eShop. If that contract has expired, it’s not really up to Nintendo to beg them to stay on the storefront. (Full disclosure that I have no knowledge that anything in that scenario is true, but it would make perfect business sense).

Games have been delisted for various reasons in the past due to rights changing hands (think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles being bought by Nickelodeon and getting removed from the Wii Virtual Console as a result). That had NOTHING to do with Nintendo, yet people complained that it was Nintendo’s screw up at the time.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Nintendo's 2021?

The video game industry as a whole was down big time this year (as far as my interests are concerned). With that said, Metroid Dread was absolutely fantastic and by far the most memorable gaming experience of the year for me.
