Interesting. I enjoy handhelds so I might be inclined to get one if the price is right. I can't see this thing playing the PS5 discs, nor would I want it to, so I sure hope it has a large internal storage and a non-proprietary way to expand it. If it's real.

Mario & Luigi, Dragon Quest 3, Donkey Kong Land, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's a bit stormy here today so I should get some quality time with the Switch.

Yeahhhhh I didn't exactly have a robust library as a broke teenager. Mario, Kirby, and Pokémon and that was about it.

Just played through the first two worlds and I must say, this plays so much better than the GBC Country demake. The slower movement really helps you react to what's ahead with the limited screen real estate. Here's hoping the GBA app gets some ports added, too.

The DS ran its course before I had an income so my list is limited, but here it is anyway in no particular order:

I'm sad I only got into Animal Crossing starting with New Leaf because I could see myself pouring so much time into Wild World had I played it back then 😭

I didn't have any issue securing a Switch at launch so hopefully things will go just as smoothly this time around.

One of the best games ever made. I'll be revisiting it again soon, as I do a sort of DKcember annually where I play through all the Country games. I'd love the GBA version just to shake things up, though.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons mostly. Currently remodeling my island. A little Mario & Luigi on the side, but I'm bored and might drop it. Dragon Quest has piqued my interest, so I might get that.

I'm at 13 hours and I give it a 6 at the moment. It looks great, battles are fun and surprisingly challenging at times, but the story is a snorefest thus far, I really dislike the designs of those weird plug people, and navigating the world is tedious and often contrived and constantly interrupted by NPCs. Definitely the weakest of the three Mario RPGs that came out in the last year.

I'm one the 44% primarily handheld folks, and as such, I'd love a better battery life!

I find it pretty aggravating, myself, and I keep messing up the action commands as a result, even during boss fights when I'm paying more attention to what I'm doing.

It's convenient if nothing else. I hang on to my old systems so if I want to play something older, I just boot those up. But! Those older systems could just decide to stop working, in which case having the games playable on current hardware is quite handy. That's what happened to my poor 3DS, that library is unplayable and they stopped selling 3DSes quite some time ago 😭

Nice, I can continue to play Animal Crossing and Pokémon without having to keep multiple devices at the ready. I did find it somewhat clunky lugging around the 3DS and Switch together during that first couple of years. Now I wonder if this means that the NSO game libraries will carry over as well.

Oh absolutely. It releases on payday so I'll download it immediately when I wake up. Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario TTYD, and this all in a 12 month span is just fantastic.

Well I'd certainly hope so, with the install base of the console over 100 million higher.

I just picked up my NSO N64 controller so I'm excited to play Banjo the intended way. The controls don't translate all that well to the normal Switch controllers. Might go through a few other 64 games just to play optionally for a change.

Maybe. I guess I'm 60/40 in favour of yes right now. I didn't really vibe with it on the Wii U but perhaps the convenience of the Switch will overcome that.

@N00BiSH I understand not wanting to force western ideals on a foreign entity, but isn't that kind of what they're doing here? At least partially. DKC was developed in the UK and they don't credit David Wise. Japanese company follows Japanese policy, even internationally, I guess.

So I am very excited. I listen to tons of Nintendo music on YouTube RV when I'm out and about and this seems like a great way to curate and compile it all to one dedicated app and experience. Seems like it'll be easier to find that one track or soundtrack, too. I just hope it has background play because that's kind of the whole point.

I played this very briefly without really getting into it, but I partially blame that on me just hardly touching my Wii U in favour of the 3DS at the time. This will be portable and more convenient to just pick up and play. I'll give it another shot, I think.

Yeah the NSO versions of 64 games have weird speed issues going on. I believe the credit sequences in Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 also run fast, or maybe it's slow? I don't really remember but I know the music and events don't line up.

Oh wow, I can hardly notice a difference. Take out the side-by-sides and I couldn't tell you which is which. As long as performance is smooth, I'm going with the Switch version 100%.

I'm down. I always wrote the game off just by virtue of its generic looking box art, and I was really surprised to learn that it sold similar numbers to Banjo yet no one seemed to hold it in such esteem. I'd like to see what it's all about.

These new world map changes may be enough to draw me in. I got frustrated in the original release because I was constantly getting lost and had no idea where I was going or what to do. What I'm mad at myself about because I can navigate BK and DK64 with absolutely no issue.
