Re: Best Wario Games Of All Time

TheBigK

I'm pleased to see Wario Land 1 that high. But Wario Land 2 down that far??? I don't think so, man, that deserves the top spot. My order would be WL2, WL1, WL3, WL4, Shake It, and even though I've never played Wario World or the VB one, I'm certain they'd be better than Master of Disguise.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Wants Nintendo To Reboot Virtual Console For Switch 2

TheBigK

No. I vastly prefer NSO and I am not concerned over ownership. Yeah I'm totally gonna dig the Wii out of the closet and hook it up to my ancient CRT to play Donkey Kong Country. Just give me the catalogue on whatever the current hardware is so I don't have to keep buying the same games over and over. It's simple, super convenient, and the yearly fee is inconsequential.

Re: Talking Point: Why An LCD Screen Isn't The End Of The World For Switch 2

TheBigK

I'm most certainly not an image quality snob; I'll often play on the TV without my glasses on because I literally can't be bothered to wear them. I do have an OLED Switch but it was less an upgrade and more my OG unit was falling apart. The screen is pretty good, but I also have a Lite I play on occasion and I find that screen just as good, takes me no time at all to adjust. If it keeps the price down, I say give 'er

Re: Talking Point: Where Should 'Luigi's Mansion 4' Take Place?

TheBigK

Those are some really neat suggestions. Bowser's castle could be really cool and totally be the setting for a darker entry. Super Nintendo World is such a neat idea, too. I will never in a million years get to visit it myself so a 1:1 recreation to explore would be pretty dope. Then then darkness sets in, the fog rolls in, and the spooky creatures come out, it would be a blast.

Re: US Physical Game Spending Continued To Decline Last Year, Now Sits At Half 2021's Numbers

TheBigK

See it's just that I want my games now and so I've largely abandoned physical media. Seriously though, it does boil down to convenience for me. Constantly swapping out cards is a pain and I love having all my games right there ready to launch. I save a little bit of money with the game vouchers and using a province with lower taxes for location, too. Now, does this number include phone and PC games? Because they only continue to grow.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th January)

TheBigK

I prefer to focus on just one or two games at a time, but there's just so much going on that I need to juggle quite a few.

Donkey Kong Country Returns of course. The 3DS port was the last time I played this, and my impression of the revisit is that man this ain't no Tropical Freeze.

Tales of Graces is among my favourite Tales games, fighting with Abyss for number one, so I'm pretty pumped to play through it again for the first time in many many years. It's still great!

Pokémon Violet to shiny hunt the Flamigo outbreak event.

And I'm just wrapping up a game on the PS5, which I won't get into here on the Nintendo site.
