Re: No Man's Sky's 'The Cursed' Update Adds A Spooky Space Adventure In Time For Halloween

This is a game that I would love to get into but I straight up can't fit it into my schedule. New games are always releasing and my timeslots for perpetual check-in games are full for the foreseeable future. The odd instance where I do have time to squeeze another game in, like during a lull in releases, I'm using it to dig into the PS5 back catalogue since I only just bought it this year.

Re: Every Game In The Switch eShop 'Screaming Deals' Sale (North America)

Question: I'd like to try Sonic Frontiers, and I have both a Switch and a PS5. With the Switch sale in mind, would the convenience and portability for that price be worth it compared to the visuals and performance of the PS5 version? I'm not a FPS elitist in the slightest and don't notice 30 versus 60 unless they're side by side. But in general, how bad and laggy and choppy and ugly is the Switch version by comparison?

They're taking down all these projects, right, but I'm sure some users have just re-uploaded them to other websites and stuck them in some torrents or something. With some of those users continuing development out of spite. Things just aren't wiped off the internet, that's not how it works. It doesn't bother me, personally, I just find it amusing at times.

Re: Review: Pizza Tower (Switch) - An Ingenious Platformer That Beats Wario At His Own Game

This is a great game and I'm really enjoying my time with it. I wouldn't say that it surpasses Wario Land, though. Like you said, it takes much of its inspiration from Wario Land 4, but 4 is second or third on my list, roughly on par with 3 but not nearly as good as 2.

It's a bit more difficult than I'd like, especially those boss fights. They really drag down the experience for me and I feel like I hit a wall whenever I'm ready to move on to the next world.

I also feel the game is almost too designed around speedrunning, because the feeling of being stopped when trying to go fast is very impactful. Egregiously so. I'm sure that's by design but the game just really wants you to go fast, so I feel compelled to, but I'm not super great at the controls so there are a lot of bonks, enemy collisions, and falls into the void.

All of this being said, the game is still really good and is a solid 8 for me. Levels are very creative, the visuals and music are distinct and highly amusing, and the gameplay never feels stale or gimmicky even though every level has a different gimmick or power-up. A very enjoyable experience.
