Well I have to give it to Nintendo on this one. In the shadow of the mighty MK8 this game actually looks like it’ll do enough different to be something worth our excitement. The bigger races, open world exploration, and all the customization you can do for each character are all exciting looking really good. What a terrific launch title, this will be a cash cow for Nintendo for years to come. Now if only Nintendo could cook up something fresh for smash bros. Last gen we didn’t get something new to the table for either game, so far we have got a new Mario kart and new donkey Kong. That’s a very good start for this coming gen.

Ok now make us another four swords adventures ASAP!

Hopefully it’ll add some more boards and games at least.

Looks fine enough. A game like this has to have plenty of cosmetics. This should’ve been a pack in game demonstrating the mouse.

Awesome news! Metroid deserves all the juice it can get. I’ll get it for the switch 2 and the mouse support will be great for this and civ 7.

I’ve been holding off on the series x for sometime just waiting for something comprehensive with all the dlc but I may go with Nintendo if we get at least the first two batches. I’m really bad at fighting games but I love the characters in street fighter and it’s fun with friends.

@Qwiff I second you there. I’m a bit disappointed we aren’t getting that especially after we got echoes of wisdom, I thought maybe we’d get some dlc of a Zelda seperate ways kind of thing. This is ok I guess, I’m not the biggest warriors fan, but I may get it. Hopefully it runs well, age of calamity was a little rough.

I miss bond in my gaming. Most of them for me have been enjoyable, even some of the third person games were good fun. I just hope the multiplayer is good mostly. We will need an odd job with dangerous hat.

Wow! The GameCube library is great. I have a special fondness for that era because that’s when I was at a point in my life where I could make a little money at my part time job and run out and buy some games with it. That was such a fun time for me and my first ever midnight launch was for a GameCube. Can’t wait to race online with friends on Fzero, throw a buddy into the abyss with link on soul caliber, and wind waker to play with my daughter for her first time.

Hoo boy this one got me. The best news of the direct for me, back of the bus Mario kart and Metroid. This is a crunchy looking 3d DK, I loved all the smashing. It’s pretty much hulk ultimate destruction as a Kong. I’m going to celebrate with crunchy peanut butter on a banana sandwich!

There’s certainly a lot that have my interest on this list. I was suprised to see that lunar remastered had a physical preorder on Amazon uk. I thought I read an article on here that this game wouldn’t have a preorder window for its cart release? The states don’t have it available yet, I really want to get that one.

@Serpenterror great taste in games there. Yeah I’m excited for more on this one. It was probably my favorite suprise of the direct. If it’s true there are more characters to be revealed who would you like to see round this out?

I saw these on limited run games website. It lists it as single player only but luckily it looks like this does have multiplayer. This was a highlight for me on the direct.

I preordered this one on vgp with a few other games already, I can’t wait for this one. I’m really hoping we get a release for terminator 2d no fate soon. I’m really looking forward to that one. Fangamer still has pizza tower, Anton blast, and crow county I’m waiting on to.

Call me a sucker but I’d buy up many of these remasters/rereleases many have mentioned and I’d much rather see fresh new games be reserved for the switch 2 even Metroid prime 4. I expect to see prime 4 fit switch showcased, planet robobot, and then I’m sure will get some suprises. I feel the switch 2 will have GameCube games for the online service so I don’t foresee games from there being brought over to switch. Id be most happy to see Zelda windwaker, twilight princess, oracle of ages/time, or a link between worlds, Fzero Gx, Mario galaxy 2, Luigi’s mansion, prime 2 and 3, punchout! Wii. Any of those games would set me on fire but who knows? I’ve never been able to predict anything Nintendo will come up with, but the biggest suprise for me would be to have any suprise at all this late in the switch chapter.

That’s a good game. This Kirby may be my favorite Kirby of them all and the music is very good. I also thought it had the most interesting setting. It’s not what you’d think you’d find in a Kirby game. It’s a doomsday world that has been long gone and forgotten, so you see nature has taken over these once great city landscapes. So you have both beauty and despair.

I could care less if Bams in or out, why oh why would his exclusion take precedence of them cutting out free roam. That’s actually a deal breaker for many, myself included. The backlash that got you’d think the birdman would’ve swooped out of the nest and pecked the developers into Swiss cheese, but no Bam was a way bigger deal for some reason.

I’ll be playing on wwe 2k25 trying to get some of the persona cards in world tour and maybe some Mario party with the family. I’ve recently ordered dragons dogma and kingdoms of Amalur for switch. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into them.

This little guy looks like what you’d get if Nabbit crossed with an Ewok. It looks very interesting and I like how you can change the environment around to solve puzzles. I just hope it controls well it looks to be 2d in parts and 3d in others so it could be a little tricky on the platforming sections.

@OldManHermit I agree. Metal slug tactics was a major let down for me. I just don’t know how into this I’d be, plus from the looks of it it looks very static in the animation department to me. Tactics games already are a slower moving game but this looks to be in a much lower gear than an xcom. Maybe something more similar to the rabbids games would work better for this

I’m going to need to see far less jabberin and a lot more maneuvin and shootin to get excited for this.

This is a hard pill to swallow but really there are greater problems in the world. We’ll just have to endure and get through this and hopefully learn from it.

All these tales of Inafune making a run for it abruptly does have a Dr. Wiley feel to it. I can see him now with the eyebrow dance as he jets off in skele-orbiter.

@PikminMarioKirby I agree. I like both of their picks from gen 2 but I’d like another representing another game to make it feel a little more different from a previous game.

This one won me over. I have to have it. You could put a cigar out on my chest right now and it wouldn’t shake the excitement I have for this game. Let’s Go Arnie!!!

Well I’ll give them credit for trying something new here but I’m not much for a dragons age or xenoblade style of combat. Arceus I liked very well, and really the only thing I really missed from the old games in it were the gym battles and maybe a little less easy leveling. I do think Pokémon needs a good shake up to the formula tho, while keeping the traditional games intact with some nice new remakes.

We’ve spent the last day and a half with family celebrating a special birthday but I did get to play a little bit Kraino for the first time this morning and I really have enjoyed it so far. It’s given me a good enough challenge and I like the music. Tonight I’m going to work a bit on snow runner I think. I’ve just recently picked it back up. I may go back and start Alaska. I went straight into Tamyr from Michigan and that was a mistake.

@BongoBongo me too actually on gamepass I just came here to see what people thought about it all those years ago. It’s a relaxing little game. I don’t always know what object I’m moving around tho. It’s a lot of trial and error in my part.

I get a strong snake rattle n roll vibe from the stretchy neck this little Dino has. I never gave the original a chance but this has plenty of charm.

This is an insta-buy. I must play as dose CATS!!!

@RupeeClock interesting you posted this I was actually thinking ukemi from viewtiful joe. That is where I learned of this verbiage and it has stuck with me ever since. This is a nice update and does help a bit having the rangers stand out a bit from each other.

Very nice. I’ve been waiting to get a physical Tetris forever. Tetris is the perfect game. I can play it anywhere anytime.

This seems like another case of portability vs storage space, and maybe performance depending on what else you could play it on. For me it’s switch vs Xbox. The last game ran much better in the X, this one probably isn’t as big of a difference from the sounds of it but the big thing for me is I don’t have as much storage on the switch for all the dlc and patches this will get and the switch won’t allow you to play on larger map types. I could maybe pick up the base game on a sale for switch down the road for the portable aspect but first I’ll go with the X and even then only when it gets more dlc to bolster it.

@batmanbud2 I hope you’re right buddy. It’s discouraging to me that over 51% of the population chose these mean spirited thugs to run things in this country. I know it affects me but I’d just rather not even watch the news these days where criminals are freed and made heroes. I hope at least that people will see this was a bad decision and can remember what made this a good country to begin with.

I’m on the road this weekend but did play a bit of balatro and wario land 4. I’ll be getting back home late tonight so I hope to finish up Indiana jones and the great circle. I’ve had a great time with it and would like to go back to get some of the collectibles I missed. I’m missing one skill book in the Vatican I had picked up in the streets while running from a nazi horde, I died and the book is now gone but not collected.

Ninjas are falling from the sky! Wow I’m loving everything about this. Good call on dusting this one off. The Shinobis are some of segas very best and they couldn’t have gotten a better team on this. Streets of rage 4 has to be my favorite beatem up in years. I’d love a coop comic zone game from these guys.

I really like the sound of a warp mechanic between stages but shouldn’t that be for whoever is in last place to decide? It seems like a big advantage and I’m not sure why someone in first would need it. It looks good tho. I’d love to see some vector man and comix zone representation.

This game has my interest but I’m not sure I’ll like some of the changes. The magnet status every country gets when entering a new era is one thing I really don’t like and picking a leader Togo with whatever country you so choose is a bit odd to me, I guess you get more possible ways to play it but I just like to make the scenarios feel a bit more authentic. Also I don’t care for multiple versions of one leader. I’m sure I’ll get this on down the line when we get more content to play with.

Great to hear about this release I’m also very happy to hear soul reaver 1 and 2 remasters getting a physical release on amazon.

I’ve started playing in Indiana Jones and the great circle, so far I’m really liking it. It’s very faithful to the source material for sure. The punches in this game have a very satisfying smacking noise like the movies. I’ll also go back and finish up castlevania aria of sorrow and get the correct ending

I admit I groaned when I read another Metroidvania but this looks very special to me. It looks every bit as good as a castlevania so far and it has a good team behind it so I will keep this one in my sights.

I’m winding down castlevania harmony of dissonance, wowzers is there a lot of back tracking in this one. All in all I’ve enjoyed it but opening up something on one end of the castle to hike all the way to the other end to go thru a portal to another castle and back to the very spot I left in castle A, is a bit much. I’m excited for the next game in the gba line tho. I’ve played on some Mario kart and pizza tower as well. That War level on pizza tower is pretty tough tho.

This is a very cool concept, I think I’ll pass tho as it’s a bit too bloody and vulgar for my liking.

@Ks123 it is in limited runs distro page so there’s a good chance it’ll be sold by some other stores in the future. The deluxe edition is still in there for a whopping $145 tho.

I still want to give this a go. This type of game usually doesn’t click with me but playing as the turtles will help.

I like the Wii start up the best and the jingle in the background on the home menu was nice and then you had the shop theme that I got very accustomed to banging my head in what to buy. We need sonething in the background in the switch 2 as well.
