Re: Review: Felix The Cat (Switch) - A Cute But Costly Clowder

TYRANACLES

I always liked Felix as a character. I still have a little stuff toy of him I got from a kids meal somewhere. This game I thought about getting but it just doesn’t seem like a good value. The sparkster/rocket knight collection seems a better value but I’m not sure I’ll ever really play those again either.

Re: Feature: 33 Games We're Surprised Still Aren't On Switch

TYRANACLES

There’s a lot of gold out there for Nintendo to harvest. A few id add to this list are pizza tower, freedom fighters ( it recently released on steam and a soundtrack is being put out by limited run but the war in Ukraine also surprises me it even made it to steam, rouge squadron, Disney afternoon collection, rare replay, tomba and gex( which were announced sometime ago.

Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Tops Amazon's 'Best-Sellers' Chart As Pre-Orders Sell Out (US)

TYRANACLES

This game deserves nothing but praise. I’m so happy to see this game in switches all over the world. It’s an all time favorite. Now I hope Nintendo takes heed that this is the paper Mario that many of its fans want and just be able to see that there’s money in bringing back their old classics. Windwaker/twilight princess and mother 3 would do well, Fzero Gx may not reach those sales but I think they’d make something worth their while.

Re: The First Review For Princess Peach: Showtime! Is In

TYRANACLES

I hope this turns out to be a good game. It’d be pretty cool to have the full Mario 2 cast each with their own unique solo ventures. I’d still like a return to the excellent super princess peach from the ds, but peach needed something that she could stand out a bit in. I do hope this game has some challenge to it at some point tho.

Re: Mother 3 Switch Icons Out Now, But They're Only Available In Japan

TYRANACLES

Who knows when, but I do believe one day we will get this game in the west. There’s too many people that want it. I need to play thru earthbound snes. I’ve dabbled and it was good, I just got distracted. I’d be happy to play 3 to. Maybe one day.

Who’s the vomiting unfrosted giant pop tart icon you get from mother 3?? I want that one.

Re: Video: Contra: Operation Galuga Spotlights Playable Characters In Explosive New Trailer

TYRANACLES

What’s hilarious to me is I played the demo and had a great time with it, I think in died a couple of times, backed out and dusted my hands off, and said yeah that’s contra all right. So I went ahead and preordered the standard edition on limited run. Maybe I need to go back and play this thru. Generally I like most all of the contras and way forward usually gives us quality. The art really reminds me of double dragon neon, which is ok. I’d really like to have Konami port over the wiimakes of contra and castlevania we got years ago. Those were great.

Re: Balatro Surpasses 500,000 Sales In First 10 Days

TYRANACLES

Wow this game came out of nowhere and made waves it seems. I was just thinking I’d put my money down on pocket card jockey, but another game with cards seems to have killed the buzz in that. I wish this one had a demo to try at least. I did like pocket card jockey but this I could see being very addictive. Right now I’m playing thru splatoon side order content but I’ll come back to one of these two games soon.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For March And April 2024

TYRANACLES

I wasn’t offended by the contra demo so that’ll be one I get, tho I ordered it physically thru limited run, so I’ll be waiting a good while. Princess peach and pepper grinder for sure as well. If the tmnt arcade game and South Park snow day are any count I’d consider them as well. I find it odd neo geo pocket volume 2 is getting a steel book release after all this time. You’d think they’d at least bundle it with the first one.

Re: Review: Shiren The Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon Of Serpentcoil Island (Switch) - A Thrilling Return For A Beloved Series

TYRANACLES

I’m currently considering giving 5 a go and if it sticks I’ll try 6. I’ve only played a few of the Pokémon games and enjoyed them. I’m just not sure I’ll like this one’s progression. You don’t level up and keep your stats whether you die or make it out of a dungeon. And your gear can all be lost when you die. It sounds very frustrating to me. I’ve read that 5 is much easier than 6 because you have access to things like shortcuts and storage early on.

Re: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Announced, Coming To Switch In 2025

TYRANACLES

Wonderful news and it seems it’ll have plenty of time in the oven. Legends Arceus was an amazing change of pace for Pokémon. I’m glad we’ll get another go at one of these with hopefully a few changes. I would just like one of these with gyms and the traditional Pokémon story in the same legends open world setting. The one thing I didn’t care for was, is this game set solely in lumiose city? I do hope we have a great open landscape to explore and not just be confined to a urban setting.

Re: Endless Ocean: Luminous Is Coming To Switch In May

TYRANACLES

I only remember playing the first one on Wii but loved it. There was a lot of mystery and a lot to explore and collect. I’m very happy that I’ll get a chance to play something like this again. Dave the diver gave me a similar feeling that I played recently. I do hope this restrains the old feel of the original tho. The online component with friends I’m not so sure how that will be with this.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 17th)

TYRANACLES

I played thru Dave the diver last week. This weekend I’ll be working on hogwarts legacy on the X. It’s pretty enjoyable so far, I do feel like I’m getting loaded down by the amount of gear in this game and I just sell off the excess and equip what’s best. It does let you transmit so even if what you have doesn’t match you can turn it to something else you’ve collected.

Re: Random: Capcom Survey Asks If Fans Want Sequels To Okami, Dino Crisis, More

TYRANACLES

If I could only pick one revival I’d probably go with viewtiful joe. It’s the game I’m most longing to play right now from capcom but of what’s listed I’d go for an all new final fight. Any of these would get me excited tho. I’m glad capcom hasn’t forgotten its classics. The power stone series would be really cool to see, as I’ve never played those but they looked fun.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 3rd)

TYRANACLES

@trymer89 Hoo boy you are in for a treat! Jedi survivor was a favorite of mine last year. I enjoyed Jedi outcast but the sequel completely blew it out of the water. The world and secrets you uncover were so much better and all the new combat techniques you get, it was an amazing game. I waited awhile to play it last year because the performance was a little shoddy early on, but it plays well enough now.

I’ll be chipping away on Dave the diver after completing cyberpunk last week. Dunno how long this game lasts but I just reached the 5th chapter and have been enjoying it but I feel I’ve seen all there is to see at this point. I’m not too into the story right now as all I’d really like is some more underwater caverns or volcanoes to explore and gear to unlock, but I’m finding there’s just more and more fetch quests to do. I’m still enjoying it well enough tho.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 20th)

TYRANACLES

I’m away from my Xbox this weekend so cyberpunk is being put on hold. For the switch I’m looking at Mario wonder, which I’m just about to wrap up, and start Dave the diver. I’m looking at preordering rocket knight collection for switch on limited run today and I’m close to caving in on getting prince of Persia. I want it I just have too much to play at the moment. Happy weekend all.

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss

TYRANACLES

All the more reason I argue having a physical game is better. When companies get comfortable giving us digital only, we may start to see them disappear from our gaming libraries. I’d hate to see the industry turn this route but it very well may happen. I do prefer digital on my Xbox as I have more storage so it’s nice to not have to load up games in the switch over but for switch I like having those cartridges. Discs have a tendency of getting smudges and scratches that I don’t worry about with the carts.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown

TYRANACLES

Ubisoft gets a lot of flak but I think they have plenty of hits and put a great effort into what they churn out for the most part. When they miss the mark with a game I think they at least try something different with the next. This game I was wary of and was on a wait and see notion but it seems to be profoundly a good action game. I was bummed we weren’t getting the sands of time remake or something more akin to it but for what this is it must be a good action game. I’ll probably wait for a sale tho, only because I have so much to play and might as well get it at a bargain price for when I actually can play it. Rabbids kingdom battle 2 I still have in plastic afterall.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (Christmas 2023 Edition)

TYRANACLES

I’m chipping away at Star Wars Jedi survivor and it is up there for me as game of the year. Resident evil 2 remake, Zelda totk, sea of stars, pikmin 4, and Jedi survivor have all been great games for me this year. Zelda took the cake but for anyone who liked Metroid primes exploration, ride of the tomb raiders platforming, hogwarts legacies customization and world building, and the combat is a more forgiving dark souls please try this game. Jedi outcast was very good but this one is so much better just with the overall upgrade tree and powers and the exploration is so good.
