Re: The Walking Dead Is Getting The Beat 'Em Up Treatment On Switch 1 & 2

TYRANACLES

I dropped off of this show way early on but this looks decent. I love a good beat em up. I’m happy it moves at a decent pace with zombie enemies. I didn’t think that could work to well for this genre. That brawl brothers sequel they brought out for switch, the enemies moved at a snail zombie like pace and they weren’t even truly zombies. So this did it right?

Re: Reaction: A Direct That Picked Up Pace For A Breathtaking Finish

TYRANACLES

It’s not the Zelda I’d most like to see a remaster of, that goes to adventures of link. However Ocarina of Time is probably my second favorite Zelda after LTTP. Hopefully Nintendo will give Zelda the Capcom sheen to many more remakes.

This was a pretty good Direct I will say. Fire Emblem, Splatoon, Zelda, Deltarune, Muramasa, Rhythm Heaven, and Star Fox are all winners for me. Some of these and others I didn’t mention tho l, I’ll probably get elsewhere tho for storage reasons. That’s my biggest issue with the current gen switch, is the lack of storage for some of these larger games.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct June 2026 Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

TYRANACLES

I can count on it being nothing I predict, so it will be a suprise. Hopefully it’s a pleasant one. Id really like to see something Mario, Zelda, Fzero, Punchout,or Animal Crossing from Nintendo. For 3rd parties Timesplitters rewind, Simpsons Hot and Run I will echo, Mass effect trilogy, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Rare Replay,or a new marvel ultimate alliance. Any of these would put me over the moon.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (6th June)

TYRANACLES

@Pillowpants mmm how’s the cake?

Ve been playing thru Dead Rising Remake and really enjoying managing my time meeting case dead lines, saving survivors, and weeding out the psychos. I get a Pikmin vibe from it, completing as many tasks as I can with each allotted time. I may also play some more on perfect dark hd trying to get thru the campaign and those dreaded challenges. That king of the hill in the villa one brings back nightmares for me…

On switch probably nothing this weekend. I just beat Thank Goodness you’re here on it and it was enjoyable but very very strange.

@Aispen Everything or Nothing is such a fun game, it and Nightfire I have very good memories of in my GameCube. I remember there was some sort of coop component where you had levels you could go thru but I can’t remember if you had to unlock them in the campaign under very hard conditions or what but I didn’t have access to many of them. There’s a lot of 007 games I actually liked. From Russia with love was not as good as the two above but I had some silly fun with the jet pack and multiplayer, agent under fire had a fun grapple hook, goldeneye of course is where I spent plenty of my childhood with friends over on, the Wii game was one of the few good multiplayer games I had for that system and really enjoyed it, and then there was quantum of solace and bloodstone that were decent action games on the 360.

Re: "That's Amazing!" - Final Fantasy Creator Approves Of FF6 Video Created By AI

TYRANACLES

I have seen AI do some good work and of course I do see benefits of how it can be used but I don’t think it’s worth the cost of what we could lose. I think we’re losing a lot of originality with it and job security also.

I will say the best thing I have ever seen was a movie trailer for final fight. Us humans just can’t grow em big enough to be an Andor or Abigail.

Today has been my first day swimming in the pool, it felt great out. This weekend I did finish up FF7 remake and I had a pretty good time with it, it kindve overstayed its welcome for me tho and I was very ready to be done with it. I will be interested in seeing how things look outside of Midgar. One thing that really kills it for me is you can’t take what you’ve earned from the previous game into the sequels.

I’ve played a little Overwatch today as well and that’s what I’ll probably play for most of the upcoming week and maybe Terraria with my daughter.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle (Switch 2)

TYRANACLES

@AussieMcBucket yes there’s a dlc for it but it’s not on the physical cart unfortunately, I don’t know too much about it but I’ve heard it’s a few hours of additional content focusing on the legend of the giants.

The SNES game for Indy is very fun. It goes thru all three of the original movies. It’s a side scrolling adventure game with platforming and you do have your whip, revolver and your mitts to defend yourself from bats, swordsmen, spiders, wolves, and blow dart spitting natives oh my! It and the Star Wars games play a lot alike and if we ever do get a collection, I’d highly recommend them.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Indiana Jones And The Great Circle (Switch 2)

TYRANACLES

Looking forward to owning a physical of this. I played it sometime ago on gamepass and was blown away. It could easily have passed as a movie in the series, much much better then anything they’ve spat out since the last crusade. I really do need to try the dlc for this. Finally I can say a game has dethroned the snes game as king of the Indy games. I would like to see that game along with the Star Wars games again as a collection one day.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th April)

TYRANACLES

@Ganner brother you have conquered Snowrunner. That is the epitome of perseverance and deep mechanics. If you can do that, you are the man with no fear as far as I can tell. I’d say give Fire Emblem a go if it interests you. Three Houses is probably my favorite, tho Engage was enjoyable for me minus the story bit. Path of Radiance on the ap is more of a challenge but very good and the gba games I’ve barely played but I should, they seemed enjoyable as well.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th April)

TYRANACLES

This weekend I’ve been doing some painting on the house which is definitely a chore. I have wound down some with Overwatch, Beyond Words, and Tomadachi Life. Beyond Words has been a very relaxing game, I love the music and all the unlocks you get. Scrabble has always been a favorite of mine and the boards in this game are quite challenging. I also love the little timesplitters easter eggs in there. Tomadachi life I’m enjoying pretty well. My daughter finds it hilarious so I’m having a good time with her, creating new Miis of Pokémon, Hello Kitty, and our own pets. I do wish there was a little more variety in personality traits tho. Animal Crossing has this same problem as of late. There really needs to be some grouchy inhabitants so you get some conflict from time to time.

Re: Talking Point: So, What Are Your First Impressions Of Splatoon Raiders?

TYRANACLES

It looks great to me so far. The only thing is I don’t know how long the campaign will stretch on for. You can play coop so there must be other modes outside of the story. I’ve always wanted a splatoon I could play local coop on with bots so maybe this will give me something like that to play with my daughter. It would’ve been nice if we could get some competitive modes like we traditionally got but maybe we will get plenty of content added over time for coop multiplayer.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th March)

TYRANACLES

This morning I completed RE 9 and what a ride that was. I will probably start a new run later this evening to try and get more credits for some of the unlockables. I’m not sure I’m ready for insanity on here tho from what I’ve heard. Classic was just right for me but some of the earlier in parts with Grace I could see being pretty hairy. I tried to not use any of the blood crafting with Grace my first run but that ended in the care center.

Aside from that maybe some Mario Tennis Fever with the family.

Re: Review: Marvel Maximum Collection (Switch) - A Decent Nostalgia Cake With A Konami Cherry On Top

TYRANACLES

This release I’m excited for primarily for X-men arcade. I hope it does well tho and we can get a volume 2. There’s a lot of good marvel games out there still from this era that would be great to revisit

I actually had hopes for the arcade game featured in X-men 97 would make it out as a game release. In that game you were fighting to escape mojo world and it was very reminiscent of the arcade game with different characters.

Re: Poll: Who's Your Favourite Resident Evil Playable Character?

TYRANACLES

It has to be Leon for me. I don’t especially like horror at all but I do love the guns and the massive amounts of resistance and with Leon you get plenty of action with the one liners to. He’s a a flashier Chris to me. I’d love to have a Leon and Krauser war buddies game.

And Barry where art tho??

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder On Switch 2

TYRANACLES

I totally see why some are passing on this for lack of new content but in my case it’s a buy. I gave my sister my switch copy to my sister some time ago, knowing I’d get this one. My daughter loved this game more than me even and wants to play Rosalina, so it’ll be a joy to have something to play with her. The Koopalings are a plus for me as well and the Phanto masks return will be fun.

Re: 50 Best Game Boy Advance Games Of All Time

TYRANACLES

Not a game I’d dispute to be in a to 50 list for gba but I really think a to 100 would’ve been a better number to go for. Theres just so many great games in the gba that are still worth mentioning. It’s probably my favorite strictly handheld gaming system.

Re: Poll: Who's Your Favourite Resident Evil Villain?

TYRANACLES

It’s Wesker if we’re talking villains but I voted Krauser, I’m a sucker for a big hulking henchman. Krauser goes out like a warrior, and I liked that for him. He was also pretty fun to play as in mercenaries, I just wish he never had to go and infect himself and get that big goofy eagle wing appendage.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st March)

TYRANACLES

I’ve been to Universal Studios all this week and today is our last day to wrap it up. So tomorrow will be our first day back home and away from the pup, so we’ll probably be recovering from all the hustle and bustle and just love on her. I’ll probably just play a little Pokémon fire red on the plane and that will be it. I do plan on starting to download Resident Evil Requiem and Ark Raiders tomorrow, not on my switch 2 tho.
