Re: He-Man's Arcade-Style Retro Brawler Locks In A Release Date For Switch

TYRANACLES

I’m glad this is a thing and it looks great. I wonder what happened to the GI Joe and Toxic Crusader games like this. I remember GI Joe left some bad impressions on people but I think this is the wrong genre for Joes. I’d personally like a hero shooter like Overwatch with cobra and Joes teams. They did do a game sort of like that I already, I didn’t try it but heard it wasn’t very good, well they need to do it again, and the right way, not with game mill and whoever they got to develop it.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th February)

TYRANACLES

I may continue on with Pokémon za, the gameplays good but I’m pretty tired of the city already. I’m going for D rank and man, this game feels pretty lazy to me, the city’s not all that big and there’s really not much much to explore at all. I’m glad I got this second hand for cheap, but it’s a disappointing one considering I loved Arceus.

More realistically I’ll play a bit of Overwatch and Mario tennis fever with my daughter, she’s actually better than me at this game. The AI on the championship match in doubles on the last cup was brutal.

Resident Evil Requiem I will pick up at some point for Xbox. It looks phenomenal. So glad it can be played on third person to.

Re: Marvel Maximum Collection Revives Six Classic Superhero Titles On Switch

TYRANACLES

So excited for this but aren’t most of these games ljn? Konami only did the arcade game I think and it is definitely the star of the show here. Maximum carnage I loved as a kid especially the genesis soundtrack. The avengers is ok and I have nostalgia for xmen and Spider-Man on genesis but it’s really not going to see the world on fire or anything. I really wish we could’ve got capcom in on this for mutant apocalypse and war of the gems, those are really great and the two genesis games were pretty fun to. I am suprised we didn’t get the nes game tho. It’s made by LJN I’m pretty sure like many of the others but it’d take the cake for worst game on here by far.

Re: Review: The Disney Afternoon Collection (Switch 2) - A Delightful Yet Difficult '90s Throwback

TYRANACLES

One of the very best/most complete collections we’ve had in a long time. Next I’m looking forward to the Marvel maximum collection that just got announced by limited run. It has X-men the arcade game, maximum carnage, X-men and Spider-Man Arcades revenge, captain America and the avengers, silver surfer, and separation anxiety. Unfortunately none of the capcom games but maximum carnage and X-men arcade will be great to have on the switch. Dunno why that awful nes game didn’t make it tho.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st February)

TYRANACLES

I’ll be playing on some Overwatch here and there, still learning the new heroes and still trying to avoid the falling wall climber-like jet pack cat that can swoop down and carry you off to a pit. I’m also thinking of pulling out my nes and playing some festers quest or maybe blaster master with the joystick controller.

Re: Talking Point: Our Pokémon Presents 2026 Predictions - What Are You Hoping For?

TYRANACLES

Maybe they could continue the let’s go series with gen 2, I did enjoy the first set well enough but I’d rather have heartgold/soul silver back physically. That’s the cream of the crop for Pokémon for me. Gen 10 hopefully makes it and hopefully it’s something a bit better than what we have been getting lately.
I’d really like a new Pokémon pinball as well.

Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch

TYRANACLES

@Don I would rather it be a physical release at that price, even for $30 would be fine but if we’re paying this much for a digital release I’d rather just play it online. I did originally read this to be at $30 elsewhere so $20 isn’t as bad but still a bit much and with the seperate language releases, that’s gross on their part. With the functionality of battling and trading online anyway it would’ve made sense.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Nintendo Classics Virtual Boy Launch Games?

TYRANACLES

I probably won’t try this because of the expense of the headset and I just don’t want to put my eyes thru that strain but it is interesting. I think it would’ve been cool if they had made a special mode in the new Mario tennis game to play with the headset. That would’ve maybe gave others more reason to purchase the accessory and it would be a cool homage to their virtual boy debute.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 2 Pokémon?

TYRANACLES

I wish I could be more original on what I’m voting for on these polls but it’s the starters pretty much every time except for gen 3. I can honestly say corphish is my favorite there. Sudowoodo almost got my vote but I have to give it to totodile for this one. Gen 1 is my favorite with this gen being a close second.

Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 1 Pokémon?

TYRANACLES

I have so many favorites from gen 1. I love most all these little guys. I’d say charmander just because I thought it was so cute in the show but really of the starters it was not my favorite to play as. Before I ever saw the anime squirtle was my #1. Sandshrew is a favorite non starter Pokémon as well, I just love its design.

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Switch And Switch 2 Physical Version Download Requirements Revealed

TYRANACLES

@jsty3105 backwards compatibility is nice I won’t deny, I have a lot of switch games still, but the way Nintendo systems are my switch will last a good chunk of time, so I can always go back and play on that. With many of the switch 2 games requiring a lot more space and the trend to go all digital these days, I think it would’ve been a wiser decision on their part to bolster the hd space on the system and maybe going with discs to as it’s a cheaper means of providing more space as well. Makes perfect sense to me. The little carts are fun but not practical to play a big old game like Elden ring. They can keep bringing out games that’ll fit on cart for the switch and I’d play those but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to play big new modern games with no hiccups on our new system?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th February)

TYRANACLES

I’ve recently wrapped up Star Wars outlaws and absolutely loved it. Yesterday I finished up Ninja Gaiden ragebound and it was definitely worthy of the ninja gaiden handle. It had all the platforming and action a ninja game should have, so I loved it as well. I will have to crack open the latest Shinobi game soon to compare. Overwatch I will continue to play thru with some mystery heroes my favorite. So far I’m really liking Emere and Domina. I’m also playing a bit of Pokémon za that I picked up used awhile back. It’s ok so far but I’m really in the mood to go back and do a play thru of yellow with Mr. Mime as my main. I’ve never played much as the dopey clown but I think it’d be an interesting basket to place all my eggs.

Re: Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Unveiled For Switch, Launching In 2026

TYRANACLES

@Zuljaras I have to ask since this seems to be you’re go to. What is your favorite in the series and your favorite homage to it. I haven’t played every game but just about. I need to try the DS games, legacy of darkness, there was some sort of weird fighting game for the wii i never played, and I believe that’s it. I’d say my favorite is rondo of blood but IV is right there with it. For homage’s bloodstained curse of the moon 1/2 were both really good and ritual of the night was good when they patched it up a bit.

Re: Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Unveiled For Switch, Launching In 2026

TYRANACLES

It’s about time we’re getting a new castlevania. I think I’d rather Konami kept this in house and not went with the rogue lite boys but it looks ok enough. I think itll have the looser combat of the rogue prince, etc games but I’ll keep an eye on this one. Good to hear there’s more planned to, maybe we can get another collection or a classic/sotn style game from Konami themselves still. As far as collections go there is rondo of blood/sotn, the 64 games, and I guess lords of shadows and id like to see the revive game on the wii get thrown in somewhere.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Pokémon Pokopia

TYRANACLES

This game looks great to me, I’d even say it’s the most interesting spin off Pokémon game I’ve seen. It’d be a day one for me but it’s a day none because it’s a game key. I will buy some digital but not a large game for the switch 2. Those games I purchase elsewhere on a larger hardrive. I will miss out on this one but there’s plenty else to play.

Re: Limited Run Games Is Bringing NES 'Jaws' To Switch Later This Week

TYRANACLES

The ocean is a terrifying place. I remember when I was young and could swim out to the sand bar with no fear. Not anymore tho. I never will forget the eerie feeling I had throwing football out on the beach and missing a catch. When I went out to get the ball, I was swept out by the current and didn’t realize it until I looked back and my friends were tiny specs in the distance. In front of me an orange severed tentacle floated up from the dark bottom below and the water was noticeably cooler. I swam frantically back and diagonally against the current(thanks to my grandpas words of wisdom I remembered). Needless to say I survived but I’ve grown much more cautious to the ocean and those sun rays.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th February)

TYRANACLES

I finished playing through ghost trick and it was a trip. I loved all the crazy characters and animations. Especially sausage head. I really wish capcom would do a phoenix wright/ghost trick collaboration game.

I’m going to work on Star Wars outlaws some more this weekend. I’m close to the end on that one and have about wrapped up the main campaign. It’s been good fun for sure. I think I like the fallen order games a bit more but this is up there with them for Star Wars fun. Happy weekend guys.

Re: Oblivion, Skyrim And Fallout Switch 2 Physicals Will All Be Code-In-A-Box, Bethesda Confirms

TYRANACLES

I walked into this article disappointed but not at all surprised by the first bit but Indiana Jones getting a physical really pulled the rug out from me in a good way. I played this on gamepass and loved it, I never got around to the dlc but would like to, this seems to be the base game only but I’m still ok with that and maybe I’ll get the doc for the switch some time. On a bit of a tangent here but still on Indy, this is my favorite game from this franchise but I’d really like to see the snes Indiana Jones game along with the star wars games in a Lucas arts set. Those were all great.

Re: Pokémon Pokopia Switch 2 Pre-Order Bonus Revealed (North America)

TYRANACLES

@daftmagician it’s actually encouraging to see more and more people stand up against game key cards. For me, this is an original game that I’d like to try but I’m not buying this new for sure if I even get it at all because I want this trend of not quite physical to end. If enough people don’t purchase it this will go away. Money talks. I don’t think game keys are going away anytime soon but it is encouraging we recently got news larger and smaller game carts are available from Nintendo.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream For Switch?

TYRANACLES

@Friendly I’m definitely in the same boat as you. I played a bit of the 3ds one and these miis are way too clingy. I wish this game didn’t focus so much on love and relationships especially right out of the gate. I’ll probably still get it and play it just because its so weird and funny at times but it won’t be something I play with her.

Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Nintendo Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?

TYRANACLES

@UpsideDownRowlet he also carried a lot of low/mid card talent in the mid 90s. He weighed in around 285lbs and his “no laughing matter” moonsault off the top rope, made him look like a supreme luchadore. Such an incredible blend of speed and hulking power!!! Quite sebaceous to. He had a real gland problem and sweat profusely over his opponents. It would’ve been wrenching to have been covered by his girth in a 3 count.

Re: Ren & Stimpy Are Getting A 7-Game Retro Collection, Courtesy Of Limited Run

TYRANACLES

I’m a big fan of Ren and Stimpy so I have to have this really because I love the box art to look at and I had time warp and veediots as a kid and they weren’t in my greatest games of all time but I did enjoy them somewhat, tho they are very cheap and overly difficult. This having the rewind feature tho will allow me to actually see what comes after stage 4 on veediots and maybe collect all the box tops in time warp. Like others have said Stimpys invention is sorely missing. I remember renting it and really liking it but if enough people make a fuss on X about it who knows maybe it’ll get some traction and make it on here like the genesis is Jurassic park game did on that collection after the announcement. Quest of the Shaven Yak I had and I’d love to have it as well. All and all tho I do like this collection better than the Splat one.
