Re: Nickelodeon Splat Pack Revives Multiple SNES Titles In One Retro Collection

TYRANACLES

I wonder why at least some ren and stimpy games didn’t make it. There were quite a few. Veediots, time warp, and stumps invention I remember liking pretty well and the rewind feature would make some of these beatable. They could do a collection of just ten and stumps honestly. There’s so many if they include even the gameboy and game gear games.

Re: Review: Hollow Knight: Silksong - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Woven To Brutal Perfection

TYRANACLES

I can appreciate this game for what it is a tough as nails adventure game that rewards those that really put the time into it. I like something a little snappier and easier to get around in. This and hollow knight I never liked the map in these, even when you get some upgrades to it, I think I just have so much to play and this one takes time to really learn the combat and the map. Info hoe to one day give this and hollow knight more attention, I see a good quality game here with an exceptional price point.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (13th September)

TYRANACLES

@Zuljaras I’d like to recommend you a few games if you haven’t played them or can find them for a good buy, nightmare creatures n64/ps1, hunter the reckoning gc/ps2/xbox, spartan total warrior gc/ps2/xbox, and gauntlet dark legacy gc/ps2/xbox. Also have you tried blade chimera, it looks similar to castlevania but I haven’t tried it myself but was considering it in the sale.

This weekend I’ll continue silksong, drop in for a few Overwatch mystery heroes matches, and my daughter and I’ve been playing savage planet on gamepass. Happy weekend everyone hopefully you’re happy with the direct news. I may be most excited for galaxy 2 at the moment since it’s so soon to release.

Re: Nintendo Direct September 2025: Every Announcement, Game Reveal, Trailer

TYRANACLES

I was pretty happy with this one. Prime 4 does look good to me with the bike. Any bounty hunter really looks more menacing on a big mean hog. Raising Arizona the lone biker of the apocalypse is the epitome of exactly what I mean.

Beyond that it’s great for me to have a way to play Mario galaxy 2 again, my favorite two 3d Mario games there. The Yoshi game looks adorable and I’ll want to try it, I just hope it has some challenge and is fun to play. Mario wonder I may get again if it adds something for single player; a new character and some new stages would be worth it for me. Fire emblem looked like a much better game in style than the last game and I love that it calls back to 3 houses. Pokémon ZA I’m still not sold on, I just really don’t like catching Pokémon in the drab old city but Pokopia has my interest. Dragon quest 7, 1&2, mortal kombat, and Hades 2 I’ll for sure get physical on the switch 1. Hyrule warriors looks even better than the last with more warriors and tools to use, my daughter and I have been playing thru these lately and it’s good fun. Tomodotchi life can’t get here soon enough. Dinkum is the first I’ve heard about it, but it looks great with friends. I really hope we see some dangerous wild snakes in the bush. Mario Tennis and Kirby will be worth my time.

Virtua Fighter, Suika game, and Storm Lancers are a maybe for me. Virtual boy is cool but I doubt I’ll buy a peripheral to play the thing, 3ds bad on the eyes anyway. Also I had heard Megaman Star force collection is a thing now from the Japan direct. How’d we miss that? That is a definite buy for me and one step closer to legends hopefully. I’m still waiting on more castlevanias making their way over. We still need SOTN and Rondo of blood and I’d consider the 3d games but they’re not a necessity for me. Lots of stuff to look forward to tho.

Re: Review: Bubsy In: The Purrfect Collection (Switch) - Limited Run Cleans Out The Kitty Litter

TYRANACLES

Off hand I can’t really think of another game that has ever accomplished multiple installments and seeing little to no improvement. How did this game survive this long, and there’s still another Bunsy on the horizon, that one could be good but it’s truly stunning Bubsy is still standing when their are other great one hit wonders that just never got a sequel. Metal Arms, Kickle Cubicle, Freedom Fighters, Tonic Troubles, Mischief Makers, and Blast Corps just to name a few.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (30th August)

TYRANACLES

I picked up man eater for the Xbox on sale and have been having a great time with it being a master hunter shark. I’m actually quite afraid of sharks so being behind the eyes of the fish torpedo is kind of nice but does me no help stepping foot in an ocean again.

I will also play a bit on Overwatch with the new character they’ve added and for switch maybe Mario kart 8 with some family that have come down. It’s a long Labor Day weekend for me so I’m happy with that. We’re going to an apple fest today so Im going to get good and loaded on some cider. Happy weekend to all you brave warriors!

Re: Feature: What We Expect From Nintendo For Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary

TYRANACLES

This has me thinking, how often is it appropriate to do an anniversary for this form of entertainment? It seems at 20 years on there’s an anniversary for something like this every 10 years with 5 maybe every other. Mario deserves it tho. For me I like the weird Mario idea. I’d like to see something all new and off the beaten path similar to a Mario sunshine for the next big outing. Realistically we won’t be getting an all new adventure just yet. I could see Mario sunshine coming to the online pass and maybe a Mario galaxy 2 switch 2 edition which would be really nice to see.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd August)

TYRANACLES

I made it through DK Bananzas story yesterday and what a masterpiece. This game did not let me down in any way whatsoever. It has great length and it seems to have some interesting post game content. I will return to it in the future to get some more bananas and clothing upgrades I’m sure. I really really hope we get another donkey Kong like this down the line. Some really cool twists in the story and I loved the the boss battles, even if most were pretty easy and just all about smashing. Such a satisfying game that I sunk most of my time into, now I don’t know where I’ll go next.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Donkey Kong Bananza?

TYRANACLES

I gave t beat it yet but am past the second elder but so far I’ve been blown away. I’d say a 10 from me. It feels bigger and better than anything Mario has done for me since probably 64. I love this game and it’s so new and interesting to me. It feels like a really good 3d Mario to me but with splatoon weirdness. This is the first 3d donkey Kong I’ve enjoyed. I think I will try to 100% this game easily because it doesn’t feel like a chore at all to play. It is so fun and looks and runs great.

Re: Blurred Art In Nintendo's N64 Switch Online Trailer Suggests Exciting Upcoming Additions

TYRANACLES

Some nice additions here, I’d really like to try animal forest + n64 but really animal crossing GameCube takes priority, I wonder if they’ll ever give that to us and with the cool little nes games sprinkled in there. I don’t believe dk64 on the Wii U had the original donkey Kong on there and can’t remember if excitebike 64 had the new game either. I don’t see why not honestly if you’re paying for a sub anyway. Smash bros will be cool but please don’t neglect melee.

Re: Where Are Mario Kart World's Non-Mario Racers? Producer Kosuke Yabuki Has The Answer

TYRANACLES

We’ll see if dlc can make up for it but kamek, diddy, and the lack of koopalings are a big miss. I really could care less about the added stage props as characters like crab or fish. These koopalings were some of my favorite characters. This Mario kart is ok but 8 was so much better to me, not just in the roster but most importantly the levels were more challenging as there were more places to fall and tighter corners to take. This game I feel like I’m racing down a wide freeway half the time.

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Officially Reveals Nickelodeon Collaboration

TYRANACLES

The biggest problem with these crossover characters is the lack of interactions we will most likely get with the rival system. If Joker and the other non sonic sega characters don’t have this interaction, I’m sure it’ll be the same with this dlc. These characters just cheapen the experience. It’s kind of like going to a Chinese restaurant and they have chicken tenders and French fries on the menu and heavy rock music playing overhead. I prefer something more cohesive and done to the best, quality over quantity if you will. Luckily you don’t have to have these characters in your game but joker and yakuza are there and I’ll just overlook them I guess but they are an eyesore amongst the bigger cast of animorph toonsy characters that do interact in the rival system.

Re: Reaction: Donkey Kong Bananza Has Instantly Become My Most Anticipated Game Of 2025

TYRANACLES

Boy howdy did this deliver?! It was like watching the Oxy-clean guy this direct, “but wait there’s more” one after the other. This game has so much heart and is so interesting in all the wild things you can do with it. I’m very impressed by this, and almost wished I’d never seen it truthfully. Had I gone into this blind, my socks would’ve been shot right off my feet, but still it could happen, I know Nintendo didn’t show off everything. I imagine there is some sort of sea creature to transform as and some of the Kong friends, I didn’t see in the showcase but I see they could be in from another article here I’ve yet to read. I’m so happy to have a good 3d platformer to play on here. Most Donkey Kong games I’ve enjoyed even as well as the best Mario titles, so this is definitely my most anticipated switch 2 game so far.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th June)

TYRANACLES

I have the dreaded shingles, but I’ve been taking an antiviral to help fight them and it has gotten better thankfully. It hasn’t been to bad but uncomfortable, the worst part for me is just the strong backhand of reality that I’m getting older. I’ve been healthy most my adult life but I can’t wake up early and stay up late like I used to. I’ve got to take better care of myself.

I have been playing switch 2 with my family this weekend. Mostly Mario kart world which were loving. I really like the knockout tour. I still think I like 8 better but we’ll see overtime what happens. I think we’ll get more tracks, costumes, and characters added overtime. I really want the koopa kids back, Roy is my favorite kart character afterall.

I’ve been also playing breath of the wild the S2 version on master mode and I dunno if I’ll stick with that. It’s great to revisit but I may go to normal mode. It’s so hard, the enemies have so much more health but the real kicker for me is that it regenerates and when you’ve got a big group of moblins you’re taking on with a stick, a club, and a pitchfork, you’ll be breaking a lot of your weapons and retreating to safety a lot of the time. I’m revisiting hello kitty island adventure each day on here to and it runs so much better. No more long loading screens and stuttering here. On the Xbox I’m getting some games of Overwatch in as well. I returned to it a month ago and still find it so fun especially now that they brought classic 6v6 back.

Re: Hardware Review: Nintendo Switch 2 - A Faster, Slicker, Sexier Switch

TYRANACLES

I think that’s the right number for the console but I really think they missed an even better opportunity giving us the ones screen and a little more batter, even if that’s around $100 more I think most people would have been fine with that. The portability is the big sell for many on the switch, for me it’s their games, but I think it’s somewhat of a step down in picture quality and battery from the oled switch 1. But I do really like its size and feel, and the upgrade many games have gotten on load times and how they run. I mostly play on the tv so these things aren’t as big of a deal to me but the launch lineup is what I’d like to fix most. Just another game or two that’s switch 2 exclusive would have really helped. I love Mario kart at launch but they could’ve used a few more games.

Re: Poll: So, Did You Order A Nintendo Switch 2?

TYRANACLES

I didn’t see this listed on here but as far as we cards go I thought I saw 2 tb cards on amazon for a little over 200. That’s very pricey but maybe I’ll wait until I actually need more storage and go for that when there’s a sale. I’d like at least a 1 tb but I don’t plan on buying much digitally on switch. I really am only interested in the physical for this platform but over time I may need that much as games aren’t getting any smaller these days.

Re: How Well Do You Remember Super Mario Galaxy 2?

TYRANACLES

At first when I saw this game I thought Nintendo could’ve done something a bit more original and gave us something new but then I played it and had no regrets with their direction. It is more Galaxy but it has plenty of new ideas and is a total joy to play. I’m not sure which galaxy I like better but both games together are probably my favorite way to play Mario 3d.
