This looks very ambitious for an indie game. I really want to try this eventually and never knew about it. Unless it gets a switch 2 physical, I’ll probably get it in something else to save space.
I would be over the moon if they added the AX courses and machine parts to GX. I always wanted those, but I never had all the skill to unlock everything in GX anyway. It was a game stuck with and did improve on but it’s one of the most difficult games for me, I doubt I have the reflexes I had back in my teens to.
This looks rather good. Doinksoft/Devolver usually know how to throw a good game together, and have their own original look that I appreciate. I to thought of gauntlet when I saw the thumbnail for this. The color coded classes dungeon crawling together is similar. I spent a lot of time on legends and dark legacy back in the day, I’d love to see it return, but this is good news on its own to.
If game keys and digital really is the way Nintendo insists on going, I really hope they consider going with bigger storage next time. That’s my biggest issue with game keys. Games I can get on other platforms, that’s where I’ll get them digitally for better performance and to save space, luckily Nintendo at least gives us physical carts. Pokopia I will miss for now but if I ever see a good digital sale, then I’d happily pick it up, it looks great, but this would have been a day one buy physical for me.
@Warioware i think there’s a very good chance since it’s another Konami crafted Disney beatem up. They could throw another collection together I’m sure with some of their nes/snes/genesis games. This would be great enough, but Hit and Run or even Road Rage would be my most wanted Simpson game.
@PKDuckman it is odd in the selection, no real rhyme or reason here. It has X-men arcade so that alone is worth it to me. We can only hope we get another colllection. I’d most like to have X-men mutant apocalypse but war of the gems, the two genesis games, Spider-Man arcade, and if they want to include the mandatory terrible game hulk snes or xmen nes would be a terrific candidate, can’t speak for Spider-Man nes tho.
It looks like they’re adding duck hunt to this. I hope there’s giant anacondas to wrestle in these jungle waters. Not enough snakes in video games these days.
Hopefully we get some new games in the Mario world announced this year. The movie is a highlight for sure but a new adventure game in the very least needs to happen to celebrate Nintendos big guy. Maybe a Mario paint to utilize the mouse and something wacky like the canceled Mario wrestling or do something with that tech demo Mario 999?
@Warioware oh yes I had this on GC. The title screen always creeped me out. It’s third person and shortly after it released we got Future Perfect that did pay homage to second sight in a couple ways. The anti gravity arm attachment was something they played a lot with on TS3 after the sort of force powers you got in second sight, and the Freak/mutant character you could play as in multiplayer has the exact same face as Vattic, at least I think so. It was a decent game I thought and had an interesting enough story and atmosphere to jeep me invested. Great soundtrack to, like anything Free Radical had done.
I’m so glad I tried this on gamepass, I’m not the biggest shooter fan, and at first glance this didn’t appeal to me but I immediately got sucked in once I tried it. It sort of plays like geometry wars with the twin stick controls but it is very much an adventure game like a Zelda. I beat this a couple days ago and didn’t 100% it but I could easily see myself playing this again someday on the switch.
@The_Nintendo_Expat honestly when I first saw it I thought it was the main villain from “who framed Roger rabbit”, when he toons out at the end. Creepy stuff.
Hopefully this will jog Noghtdives creative juices and get something in the works for some Timesplitters remasters. The main protagonist in that game modeled the teeny tiny shades as well. Whatever they are called , I think Vin Diesel in Riddick got that trend started. Those were decent games as well. I never saw the movies.
I’ve never played this but what is going on with the main protagonist? He has a giant square head that looks like the Gat guy from Saints Row and his tiny shades barely cover his retinas. If this plays well I’ll probably get it just because it looks so weird and 90s shooters are a comfort food for me.
This looks to be a master class game. I would get it on switch 2 if we got a physical and not a key card, so I’ll just download it elsewhere to save up the little space I have on the switch 2. Can’t wait to finally dive in tho.
Sadly this is one I may never play. I’d get it on a deep sale but that may never happen. If it was physical I’d get it day one tho. It looks amazing but I refuse to pay this much for a key card. I hope we see more of these tho.
I’m glad this is a thing and it looks great. I wonder what happened to the GI Joe and Toxic Crusader games like this. I remember GI Joe left some bad impressions on people but I think this is the wrong genre for Joes. I’d personally like a hero shooter like Overwatch with cobra and Joes teams. They did do a game sort of like that I already, I didn’t try it but heard it wasn’t very good, well they need to do it again, and the right way, not with game mill and whoever they got to develop it.
More realistically I’ll play a bit of Overwatch and Mario tennis fever with my daughter, she’s actually better than me at this game. The AI on the championship match in doubles on the last cup was brutal.
Resident Evil Requiem I will pick up at some point for Xbox. It looks phenomenal. So glad it can be played on third person to.
I’d be fine with Browt if it didn’t look so similar to a certain grass owl we’ve already had. The other two could be nice, I’d just have to see how their final forms look. Pombon looks like a baby Arcanine.
So excited for this but aren’t most of these games ljn? Konami only did the arcade game I think and it is definitely the star of the show here. Maximum carnage I loved as a kid especially the genesis soundtrack. The avengers is ok and I have nostalgia for xmen and Spider-Man on genesis but it’s really not going to see the world on fire or anything. I really wish we could’ve got capcom in on this for mutant apocalypse and war of the gems, those are really great and the two genesis games were pretty fun to. I am suprised we didn’t get the nes game tho. It’s made by LJN I’m pretty sure like many of the others but it’d take the cake for worst game on here by far.
One of the very best/most complete collections we’ve had in a long time. Next I’m looking forward to the Marvel maximum collection that just got announced by limited run. It has X-men the arcade game, maximum carnage, X-men and Spider-Man Arcades revenge, captain America and the avengers, silver surfer, and separation anxiety. Unfortunately none of the capcom games but maximum carnage and X-men arcade will be great to have on the switch. Dunno why that awful nes game didn’t make it tho.
I love Bowser to death but they really should do more with Wario. A movie/game having the two good brothers vs the despicable ones would be so cool to see. So yes Waluigi needs to join him.
@garfreek that’s a tough Zelda for me to love. I played thru it years ago and got it for switch but haven’t really been able to stick to it again. I really dislike the over world in that one.
I remember watching my dad playing this and eating lucky charms. Strangely enough this game makes me think of lucky charms. The little boomerang pixel makes me think of those magical moon shapes every time. I also think the skeleton sprites look quite tasty.
I’ll be playing on some Overwatch here and there, still learning the new heroes and still trying to avoid the falling wall climber-like jet pack cat that can swoop down and carry you off to a pit. I’m also thinking of pulling out my nes and playing some festers quest or maybe blaster master with the joystick controller.
@Don I would rather it be a physical release at that price, even for $30 would be fine but if we’re paying this much for a digital release I’d rather just play it online. Sudowoodo almost got my vote but I have to give it to totodile for this one. Gen 1 is my favorite with this gen being a close second.
@jsty3105 backwards compatibility is nice I won’t deny, I have a lot of switch games still, but the way Nintendo systems are my switch will last a good chunk of time, so I can always go back and play on that. With many of the switch 2 games requiring a lot more space and the trend to go all digital these days, I think it would’ve been a wiser decision on their part to bolster the hd space on the system and maybe going with discs to as it’s a cheaper means of providing more space as well. Makes perfect sense to me. The little carts are fun but not practical to play a big old game like Elden ring. They can keep bringing out games that’ll fit on cart for the switch and I’d play those but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to play big new modern games with no hiccups on our new system?

@Zuljaras I have to ask since this seems to be you’re go to. What is your favorite in the series and your favorite homage to it. I haven’t played every game but just about. I need to try the DS games, legacy of darkness, there was some sort of weird fighting game for the wii i never played, and I believe that’s it. I’d say my favorite is rondo of blood but IV is right there with it. For homage’s bloodstained curse of the moon 1/2 were both really good and ritual of the night was good when they patched it up a bit.
It’s about time we’re getting a new castlevania. I think I’d rather Konami kept this in house and not went with the rogue lite boys but it looks ok enough. I think itll have the looser combat of the rogue prince, etc games but I’ll keep an eye on this one. Good to hear there’s more planned to, maybe we can get another collection or a classic/sotn style game from Konami themselves still. As far as collections go there is rondo of blood/sotn, the 64 games, and I guess lords of shadows and id like to see the revive game on the wii get thrown in somewhere.
@Krlozgod @Krlozgod you know I do remember Behemoth saying something about that around the time they released castle crashers years later physically for switch. I knew we had mark of the ninja but not bastion, either way tho I’d rather have them physical since I can already play them digitally elsewhere.
This makes me think of how I once had X-men arcade on my 360 but can no longer play it due to my Xbox having bit the dust years ago. It’s delisted now but I kept the old hard drive in case I ever got a 360 again but honestly that probably won’t happen. 360s lifespan was that of a goldfish.
I remember trying this back in the 360 days. I didn’t care for it. I’d much rather see Shadow Complex, Mark of the Ninja, Battleblock Theatre, Geometry Wars 1&2, or Bastion from those days make it to switch 2 physically of course
The ocean is a terrifying place. I remember when I was young and could swim out to the sand bar with no fear. Not anymore tho. I never will forget the eerie feeling I had throwing football out on the beach and missing a catch. When I went out to get the ball, I was swept out by the current and didn’t realize it until I looked back and my friends were tiny specs in the distance. In front of me an orange severed tentacle floated up from the dark bottom below and the water was noticeably cooler. I swam frantically back and diagonally against the current(thanks to my grandpas words of wisdom I remembered). Needless to say I survived but I’ve grown much more cautious to the ocean and those sun rays.

@Picola-Wicola just go for minishoot, it’s a fun little game and a silent sleeper for me, it came out of nowhere.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th March)
Thru the week I played Pokémon za and Overwatch mostly. I’m enjoying Pokémon fairly well but it definitely does lack something being in the city the whole time. Today I played some mini shoot adventures game which I’m really liking on gamepass. I’d for sure scoop this up on switch if a physical happens. I played a demo of children of morta and liked it enough to order a copy. This evening I plan on getting on Overwatch.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th February)
I may continue on with Pokémon za, the gameplays good but I’m pretty tired of the city already. I’m going for D rank and man, this game feels pretty lazy to me, the city’s not all that big and there’s really not much much to explore at all. I’m glad I got this second hand for cheap, but it’s a disappointing one considering I loved Arceus.

Re: Talking Point: Our Pokémon Presents 2026 Predictions - What Are You Hoping For?
Maybe they could continue the let’s go series with gen 2, I did enjoy the first set well enough but I’d rather have heartgold/soul silver back physically. That’s the cream of the crop for Pokémon for me. Gen 10 hopefully makes it and hopefully it’s something a bit better than what we have been getting lately.
I’d really like a new Pokémon pinball as well.
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
@Don I would rather it be a physical release at that price, even for $30 would be fine but if we’re paying this much for a digital release I’d rather just play it online. I did originally read this to be at $30 elsewhere so $20 isn’t as bad but still a bit much and with the seperate language releases, that’s gross on their part. With the functionality of battling and trading online anyway it would’ve made sense.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Nintendo Classics Virtual Boy Launch Games?
I probably won’t try this because of the expense of the headset and I just don’t want to put my eyes thru that strain but it is interesting. That would’ve maybe gave others more reason to purchase the accessory and it would be a cool homage to their virtual boy debute.
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 2 Pokémon?
I wish I could be more original on what I’m voting for on these polls but it’s the starters pretty much every time except for gen 3. I can honestly say corphish is my favorite there. Sudowoodo almost got my vote but I have to give it to totodile for this one. Gen 1 is my favorite with this gen being a close second.
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Gen 1 Pokémon?
I have so many favorites from gen 1. I love most all these little guys. I’d say charmander just because I thought it was so cute in the show but really of the starters it was not my favorite to play as. Before I ever saw the anime squirtle was my #1. Sandshrew is a favorite non starter Pokémon as well, I just love its design.
Re: Pokémon Pinball Machine Officially Revealed By Stern Pinball, Available Now

Re: Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 Switch And Switch 2 Physical Version Download Requirements Revealed
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th February)
I’ve recently wrapped up Star Wars outlaws and absolutely loved it. Yesterday I finished up Ninja Gaiden ragebound and it was definitely worthy of the ninja gaiden handle. It had all the platforming and action a ninja game should have, so I loved it as well. I will have to crack open the latest Shinobi game soon to compare. Overwatch I will continue to play thru with some mystery heroes my favorite. So far I’m really liking Emere and Domina. I’m also playing a bit of Pokémon za that I picked up used awhile back. It’s ok so far but I’m really in the mood to go back and do a play thru of yellow with Mr. Mime as my main. I’ve never played much as the dopey clown but I think it’d be an interesting basket to place all my eggs.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Pokémon Pokopia
This game looks great to me, I’d even say it’s the most interesting spin off Pokémon game I’ve seen. It’d be a day one for me but it’s a day none because it’s a game key. I will buy some digital but not a large game for the switch 2. Those games I purchase elsewhere on a larger hardrive. I will miss out on this one but there’s plenty else to play.

I remember trying this back in the 360 days. I didn’t care for it. I’d much rather see Shadow Complex, Mark of the Ninja, Battleblock Theatre, Geometry Wars 1&2, or Bastion from those days make it to switch 2 physically of course
Re: Limited Run Games Is Bringing NES 'Jaws' To Switch Later This Week
