I downloaded it right away. Now I can also check my play time on Wii U, again.

Given they didn't mess with the formula too much and this is what people wanted, I figured Switch 2 would sell well.

The cadence of games for Switch 2 is very similar to Switch 1, from a first-party perspective. It will be interesting to see if Nintendo dips further into the back catalog with old GBA/DS games being reworked for NS2 later in the console's life cycle.

As for what I'm getting. Probably MP4 as I have a voucher and a way to get a gift card that will make the price I pay $55, vice $70, which is good. Kirby Air Riders is happening, but probably not at launch depending on what happens in politics the next few weeks (I work for the USG, look at the news for more information on the state of the U.S. Government right now, so I'm a pawn in a bigger game like I was when I served in the military). Mario Tennis is likely a get for me, as well. I skipped some big games on NS1 though, and I do plan on getting those before vouchers go away so I'm set as far as NS1/2 games go.

Idk why referring to one entry in a series as a series is just so weird to me even if I understand what it means. But it still sounds bizarre to me.

Given the price of the update, I'm not surprised it's relatively little. The free update is massive, however.

Driving around in free roam is enough evidence the soundtrack is substantial. Anyone who's played the game already knows it likely is easier said than done to add it right away but it will happen.

Methinks the audience is wanting to play MH on a handheld console. I think there is a new one on the market that launched this past June that would be a great place for the next entry.

Again, I will continue to point this out, a small studio publishes a full physical game on Switch 2 yet the bigger ones refuse to do it. There is no excuse unless the file size is bigger than what a cart would be.

Nadella has already said this before and based on their more recent moves, it sounds like he means it.

Hard to say when they announce it, but I could see the Halo remake coming to Switch 2. Indiana Jones and Fallout 4 are coming, so it seems like it is only a matter of time before we hear about it.

@Maxz try around the time Sega dropped out of the hardware biz. Though the argument was less about console power and more about how poorly they sold.

I really enjoyed the other Hyrule Warriors games (though I got AOC at a massive discount because of a glitch, this will be an easier sell to my wife because she loved TotK), so I'm buying this.

@ElRoberico true. Though I played the original and liked it well enough but didn't really expect another entry. Maybe in another 20 years, Nintendo will make another game.

He also made it clear that he doesn't want this to be a series. Which...may not matter long term but it's wild he just came out and said that.

The worst kept secret in gaming is true! Tbh, that trailer was hype. I liked AC Origins and this one looks pretty nice. Given the publisher, I'll wait for a sale (like Outlaws).

This is apparently a legendary PC game. It sounds like the studio is working hard to make the NS2 version great so I'll support that.

First Fallout on Switch that isn't a mobile port. I'll buy this, for sure.

Note that this would be a double-dip for me. I never bought the DLC for Fallout 4 on Xbox and I feel justified buying this version because it's "play anywhere" on Switch 2.

Expected since no release date was given. I saw footage of it and it seemed pretty good but I guess Fromsoft was not happy with the general feedback.

Tbh, I've had a really good time with Legends ZA. The battle system is great and the story is solid.

@roy130390 it is unfortunate the takeaway when something doesn't sell is normally, "People don't want this!" And companies stop making them, but you're right. It won't be "Hey, let's improve on this!"

I have yet to buy Galaxy 2 (I played Galaxy on 3D Stars via Switch 2 in handheld mode and it was better than people say it is, so I'll stick with that one) but I can imagine it's still basically worth $40 since that's how much Metroid Prime Remastered costs and that's a lower tier (to Nintendo, not me) franchise.

Switch 2 was also the top seller in September, so good for Nintendo.

Sounds good. I'll wait for reviews but if I remember correctly, the 3DS games were received relatively well.

As others have said, it's possible Atlus makes a new version of this, but I will get a version of it some time down the line.

It's also a little funny the reviewer concedes 30 FPS is fine for this game but they want it to be 60 because reasons. I'm not excusing Sega, but maybe the frame rate "issues" are a little overblown.

I plan on playing P5R before I get this, by that time it should be on discount. Regardless, this game seems interesting.

That's pretty sad he felt any regret. I guess it goes to show you that no matter what you do in life, you'll probably feel as though you could've done more (tbh, that can be a good way to remind you to go easier on yourself).

I can play Space Marine 2 on Xbox or PC, but I'd honestly rather play it on NS2. This is still decent news as the game is apparently very good.

@BTB20 I'm trolling with that because NL said it was "borderline unplayable," in their review. But if I said it's borderline playable, that doesn't really change the meaning.

Let's hope it's finally "playable."

@Bats1234 that was my expectation. On a related note, if NL is giving it a 7...it's probably very good for people that won't care as much about the setting.

I had a blast with Violet and I feel like I'll be towards the 9 or 10 end of the spectrum with ZA.

Seems weird they didn't release these to begin with. But now in the west we can finally say that FFVII is on a cartridge. Though that's been true for a while...

As I said before, this is not unprecedented. The only part about it that is is Nintendo didn't charge people to watch this at first, whereas they did for the old Wii U shorts.

Nice. I'm probably getting Legends ZA for the console, but I've been focusing on playing my massive Switch 1 backlog on the console. Right now I'm on XCX DE and haven't bought any of the other Switch 2 editions of newer games I've wanted, like Hades. Helps that I haven't started playing the first game in that case, though. Lol

I will say there is a precedent for random Pikmin shorts. Nintendo made some for Wii U, I was one of the three people to actually pay for them. It's something I would regret if they weren't absolute cinema.

The demo looked good to me and is fun. I've been playing the original on Xbox Series X, so I do have a frame of reference for how this might look on other consoles.
