Tbh, I've had a really good time with Legends ZA. The battle system is great and the story is solid.

@roy130390 it is unfortunate the takeaway when something doesn't sell is normally, "People don't want this!" And companies stop making them, but you're right. It won't be "Hey, let's improve on this!"

I have yet to buy Galaxy 2 (I played Galaxy on 3D Stars via Switch 2 in handheld mode and it was better than people say it is, so I'll stick with that one) but I can imagine it's still basically worth $40 since that's how much Metroid Prime Remastered costs and that's a lower tier (to Nintendo, not me) franchise.

Switch 2 was also the top seller in September, so good for Nintendo.

Sounds good. I'll wait for reviews but if I remember correctly, the 3DS games were received relatively well.

As others have said, it's possible Atlus makes a new version of this, but I will get a version of it some time down the line.

It's also a little funny the reviewer concedes 30 FPS is fine for this game but they want it to be 60 because reasons. I'm not excusing Sega, but maybe the frame rate "issues" are a little overblown.

I plan on playing P5R before I get this, by that time it should be on discount. Regardless, this game seems interesting.

That's pretty sad he felt any regret. I guess it goes to show you that no matter what you do in life, you'll probably feel as though you could've done more (tbh, that can be a good way to remind you to go easier on yourself).

I can play Space Marine 2 on Xbox or PC, but I'd honestly rather play it on NS2. This is still decent news as the game is apparently very good.

@BTB20 I'm trolling with that because NL said it was "borderline unplayable," in their review. But if I said it's borderline playable, that doesn't really change the meaning.

@Bats1234 that was my expectation. On a related note, if NL is giving it a 7...it's probably very good for people that won't care as much about the setting.

I had a blast with Violet and I feel like I'll be towards the 9 or 10 end of the spectrum with ZA.

So what are the odds they delay this game again?

Seems weird they didn't release these to begin with. But now in the west we can finally say that FFVII is on a cartridge. Though that's been true for a while...

I hope this turns out well because it looks really fun.

As I said before, this is not unprecedented. The only part about it that is is Nintendo didn't charge people to watch this at first, whereas they did for the old Wii U shorts.

Nice. I'm probably getting Legends ZA for the console, but I've been focusing on playing my massive Switch 1 backlog on the console. Right now I'm on XCX DE and haven't bought any of the other Switch 2 editions of newer games I've wanted, like Hades. Helps that I haven't started playing the first game in that case, though. Lol

I will say there is a precedent for random Pikmin shorts. Nintendo made some for Wii U, I was one of the three people to actually pay for them. It's something I would regret if they weren't absolute cinema.

The demo looked good to me and is fun. I've been playing the original on Xbox Series X, so I do have a frame of reference for how this might look on other consoles.

I'm probably going to be more in line with the second opinion.

I feel compelled to make FFVII og the next game I beat on Switch before this comes out on NS2.

Of course gamers go immediately off into conspiracy theory land. In any case, this was really good! I also had strong Pixar vibes from this.

I agree that if there is anything game-related, it could be Pikmin, though. I say that because my first thought of the music was that it had strong Pikmin themes. Maybe there's a connection, maybe there isn't.

No update next week? That's fine, I'm listening to peak with this addition. Also, both versions are included, so this will surely be a nice dose of nostalgia for me.

And Nintendo Music has been kind of amazing, imo.

My point was Mario Kart 8 today is not what it was 10 years ago and many people were assuming World at launch would be 8 Deluxe in 2025 and Crossworlds is closer to that than MKW. However, I can imagine World having a similar trajectory as DX. Anyway, I've played both and wouldn't agree that Crossworlds is better.

That's easy to say today because Mario Kart World is more like Mario Kart 8 when it launched. People don't remember that because it was ages ago. Let's talk in 5 years because there is a good chance MKW will have more content by then.

Also, having played both, it's very hard to make a straight comparison because they're vastly different experiences. One is good if you expected MKW to be a nicer looking MK8DX (heavy emphasis on deluxe because the original had a horrible battle mode and fewer tracks at launch). The other is good if you like doing tricks, pure chaos, and mastering shortcuts and trying to perfect tricks/shortcuts while not racing.

And today we're getting commentary from people who expect a MK8 type experience from a Kart racer (i.e., 3 "standard" laps, a ton of different tracks and in the case of deluxe a functional battle mode, which wasn't present in base MK8). When people who played (and loved) MKW in their formative years start talking about MK when they're online, I imagine they will control the narrative, and it won't be what it is today.

Don't forget, Mario Kart World's free roam is not the same today as it was at launch. That gives me reason to believe there will be additional meaningful updates to the game.

DKB or MKW could take it for me, but since people have been waiting longer for those other games (especially Ghost) I'd expect one of them one to win.

Idk if bring myself to get the collection when I have 3D All Stars, but Galaxy 2 is a sure buy. Really wish they didn't release it this way, but $40 isn't wild when I paid that same price for Metroid Prime Remastered so...meh.

I could live with that. However, the new Batman game interests me the most of the Lego games.

I've mostly retired my Xbox and don't own (or want) a PS5. Switch 2 it is, for me.

Seeing the footage, it looked smooth enough for me not to mind. I'll stick with the NS2 version of the game.

Also, there are a decent amount of games for PS5 and XSX that prioritize visuals over performance. This is the norm.
