Well, there it is. NS2 had a solid holiday and was the reason for an increase of sales for video games compared to December of 2024. Similar to 2017, PS5 led in November while Switch 2 led in December (this was true for the PS4 and original Switch). The sky is falling! Lol

It is a little interesting that this article cites a 35% sales drop for Switch 2, but fails to specify the time period for said "drop." On top of that, they don't talk about how Switch 2 was the top seller for units and dollars in December 2025. If I didn't know any better, I'd assume NL was trying to save face for earlier speculation.

Fabraz usually makes good games, so I will echo the sentiment that this has a chance of being much better than its predecessors. The trailer is also hilarious, btw.

I would pre-order but there is no point. Day one. My family and I will have a blast with this one.

I didn't think otherwise, but I guess this is a good reassurance for those that may have. Though some ppl say the second entry drags a bit so...?

@Wewewi Switch 2 should get all of them, though I guess Switch 3 could be where the whole trilogy ends up as playable at the rate SE has released the VII remake. Lol

The demo was excellent, so it isn't very surprising this turned out well. It's still wild to see this really happen and my 10 year old self would have been blown away by not only the Switch 2 overall, but this version of the game.

I will buy the trilogy when it's complete on NS2.

Welp, time to buy this game. And it's a pretty good sign that we're going to get more NS2 upgrades of NS1 games. I'm all for it since I haven't played this in checks notes 16 years. Man, I'm getting old! Lol

After beating Prime 4 last week (which I think I'm with NL on, it's an excellent game), I played some Deathloop on PC. I've been trying to crash Alexis' party for a little while now so I will probably focus on that a bit more. ACNH NS2 edition, got my island back to the point where I can terraform. Been making progress in Pokémon Legends ZA and played an online match of Kirby Air Riders.

While doing some p block missions in Mario Kart World, I heard the ska version of Underground BGM for the first time and didn't know I needed that in my life. It was awesome! Have a great weekend, all.

Wow, I usually only like the Zelda skins of these games but maybe this is worth a try.

@Hwatt I "need" to play it in the same way anyone "needs" to play any video game. When I say that, I mean it as another way of saying I'd rather play 8 first (simply because I haven't and it looks like a great game), even if there is no connection between 8 and 9 from a story perspective.

I need to play Village before Requiem, but this looks awesome.

@JohnnyMind tbh, I have stopped giving them oxygen by commenting or clicking on blatantly false articles or videos. Same as I did for Switch 1. Early Switch 2 feels a bit similar to that and 3DS.

Nintendo will probably prioritize Switch 2 development faster than they indicated before because if it's selling this well in Japan, they care. Nintendo is always Japan forward.

This got a 10? A lot of longtime series fans disagree because villagers are nicer than previous entries. I say to them if they want someone to be mean to them then just go outside and say "hello" to a stranger. There's a 50% chance you get a rude response. Lol

Not that I personally agree with either a 10 or a lot of long time fans. This is a solid 9/10 for me. Never played another entry this much.

Time to start my new island. The way I lost my first one was very weird.

This was one of the collections that skipped NS1 where I always wondered why. Just never felt right to play this on Xbox, so I didn't buy it there. If it really comes to NS and NS2, I'll buy it on the latter.

This happened a lot during the NS1 era. I remember that report in 2018 where "the Switch story has been exhausted" or some other nonsense. This feels kind of like that. Lol

678 hours total in 2025. I played more XCX and Splatoon 3 than MKW, but not by as much as I thought. Also, I like that it congratulates me for buying a Switch 2. Makes me feel extra important.

I voted for Bananza as my favorite, though.

People talk about a lot of aspects of our lives that are in human control as if they are inevitable and not based on humanity's choices. "AI" is one of them.

Bought this (and Kirby Air Riders) on sale at Target for $52 each. Not a bad deal considering it's practically brand new.

Brothership was a solid 7.5/10 for me (only because the last parts were a bit padded, it felt) but the music was excellent. Listening to it on the app reminded me of that.

So this may be more substantial than I was initially expecting. I'll keep my expectations in check, but it's pretty awesome Nintendo is supporting this game. I play it all the time and the free NS2 update was great.

Raiders is another one I'm looking forward to seeing more about.

Nintendo (or Hal?) IP have been in anime and Star Fox seems like a no-brainer since the games have done anime cutscenes. But I feel like Nintendo stockpiled NS2's so they could maintain a relatively affordable price as long as possible. Xbox and PS had already raised prices in multiple markets prior to the console launch, so I'm sure Nintendo took notice.

Nintendo made DLC for NSMBU so this isn't a huge surprise. What I want to know is the "other" content they haven't shown off. Fairly certain I'm not alone.

Perhaps because I'm a Xenoblade fan, I found the dialogue to be charming in MP4. It also wasn't nearly as intrusive as the internet makes it sound, imo. Then again, I ignored Fi my entire playthrough of Skyward Sword so maybe I'm not the person to ask about allegedly annoying characters dropping hints. What Prime 4 also gets right is being able to leave markers on the map. Imo, backtracking is much less of a chore than OG Prime (I played remastered last year and as great as it is...it overall wasn't as good as I remember) and any pre-BotW 3D Zelda.

I unlocked the theme pretty quickly. Will I use it? Nope, like every other one. Lol

I beat Metroid Prime 4, the internet at large lied about that game. It's excellent. No, I won't be taking any questions.

As for others, I'm playing Splatoon 3. Gotta get ruler and win for Shiver. Pokémon Legends ZA, I made it to B. I may try to play some Deathloop, but that's mostly for MS rewards points that I can use towards NS2 purchases. Anyway, have a great rest of your weekend!

I never bought alt colors on Switch 1, so the trend will continue with NS2.

Street Fighter is that series where I start playing the game, but fall off. The only fighting game I routinely stay interested in is Mortal Kombat. But, people say there are massive QOL improvements with this entry so I may try out that demo once and for all.

Okay, so I'm not the only person who noticed it doesn't have the weird stuttering/blips or drops in single player anymore...

Now, if only I could devote the time to really make a great farm in this awesome game.

This is a nice feature, but the least of the things I care about in this game. It looks like an action RPG combined with a tennis game, and I'm here for it.

I wasn't really into the series when this game released and regret not buying it for GCN. Now, if only I could convince my wife to let me upgrade to the NSO expansion.
