@Pillowpants they rationalize that by saying that the games coming don't interest them or they aren't exclusive. I don't bother talking to them because they often present their argument like you said "there are no games for it!" Those same people have said that about previous Nintendo consoles, as well.

February is pretty stacked for both systems. That's awesome.

I doubt this will deter them too much in making another entry. Let's just hope this time the gap is smaller between releases.
On another note, there was no way this game was going to be revered. It just wasn't going to happen with the expectations fans had. In any case, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Since it's F2P, I'll play the NS2 version once it launches.

I agree with the other people who say it's fine by me. I've gotten enjoyment out of the updates, but I have also been more inclined to hold off on some of my backlog in hopes of updates. Not that there is a shortage of games to play even doing that...

Love to see it. There should be a nice mix of old and new games in this showcase. Some of which I'm sure will outrage the internet (for one reason or another).

@Duncanballs yes, I should specify it's more about essentials than anything. Video games are just a nice thing to have so price increases there bother me a lot less.

Well, this is a weird feeling. A third-party game coming day and date on a Nintendo console where I actually want the Nintendo version. This hasn't happened since the GCN!

Well deserved, it's an innovative system that really changed the game.

With Pokémon gen 10 rumored to be NS2 exclusive later this year, I figure next fiscal year will look great for the system as well. I don't think the internet is prepared for Nintendo to follow a success with a success...

MKW has already outsold base MK8, that's wild. Also, I apparently contributed to the Legends ZA Switch 1 count, because I bought it there and upgraded it to Switch 2.

Forgot to mention Kirby Air Riders. That game is actually selling well, all things considered.

This game looks very fun and hilarious and it's perfectly okay that there are LGBTQ+ options available for those who want them. I don't partake, but if that's for you, great.

What would be great for me is if there was mouse mode and better resolution for handheld on NS2 but it seems like those are a no go.

The Last Story really was a great game. Time flies because it doesn't feel like it was that long ago this game came out (for NA, tbf, it came out later but still it was a long time ago).

Of the Star Fox clones, Wild Blue sounds more interesting than this. Maybe we'll get that on Switch 2.

Saw this on the Nintendo Today App. Maybe Nintendo is clearing the way for a massive "General" Direct in the near future. Also, I hope it looks a little bit nicer on NS2 because I plan on playing it there and why not...

Well, there it is. NS2 had a solid holiday and was the reason for an increase of sales for video games compared to December of 2024. Similar to 2017, PS5 led in November while Switch 2 led in December (this was true for the PS4 and original Switch). The sky is falling! Lol

It is a little interesting that this article cites a 35% sales drop for Switch 2, but fails to specify the time period for said "drop." On top of that, they don't talk about how Switch 2 was the top seller for units and dollars in December 2025. If I didn't know any better, I'd assume NL was trying to save face for earlier speculation.

Fabraz usually makes good games, so I will echo the sentiment that this has a chance of being much better than its predecessors. The trailer is also hilarious, btw.

I would pre-order but there is no point. Day one. My family and I will have a blast with this one.

@Wewewi Switch 2 should get all of them, though I guess Switch 3 could be where the whole trilogy ends up as playable at the rate SE has released the VII remake. Lol

The demo was excellent, so it isn't very surprising this turned out well. It's still wild to see this really happen and my 10 year old self would have been blown away by not only the Switch 2 overall, but this version of the game.

I will buy the trilogy when it's complete on NS2.

Welp, time to buy this game. And it's a pretty good sign that we're going to get more NS2 upgrades of NS1 games. I'm all for it since I haven't played this in checks notes 16 years. Man, I'm getting old! Lol

I wonder how third-party sales on Switch 2 have been since that report from 2 weeks after the system launch claimed they were bad. There hasn't been a word about that since...

After beating Prime 4 last week (which I think I'm with NL on, it's an excellent game), I played some Deathloop on PC. I've been trying to crash Alexis' party for a little while now so I will probably focus on that a bit more. ACNH NS2 edition, got my island back to the point where I can terraform. Been making progress in Pokémon Legends ZA and played an online match of Kirby Air Riders.

While doing some p block missions in Mario Kart World, I heard the ska version of Underground BGM for the first time and didn't know I needed that in my life. It was awesome! Have a great weekend, all.
