Let's not kid ourselves. Does any gamer actually want to hear this? No matter how true it may be, ppl will always point to Cyberpunk 2077 as to why this reason is invalid. Ironically, that argument never works when discussing how a game could come to NS2 that everyone thinks the console can't handle. I.e., you can't point to Cyberpunk 2077 as an example of NS2's power.
@DiamondJim I looked it up and the eShop listing says the distant future of checks notes 2023. Jokes aside (even though that isn't a joke), there was news of it being delayed to 2026. Imo, that game is probably coming to NS2 and the other consoles it's coming to in 2027.
@Yakuboto I was trolling about the GKC part so...yeah. This game looks great and I didn't play the original back in the 90's so that's the big reason I want it.
Idk if a Switch 2 update is warranted for this collection, but it would be appreciated. Though Rise+sunbreak (and probably Dragon's Dogma) could 100% benefit from that.
I would like to point out the job has already been outsourced because they contract it out to begin with. It's just now they aren't contracting out to a US-based firm.
I am not excusing them firing people, but that is still not even an accurate description of the events.
Of course not all games will be to your taste. That's every console.
In any case, I will buy Kirby Air Riders, Mario Tennis (on sale), Mario Wonder's DLC, Persona 3 (on sale), Metroid Prime 4 (Switch 2), Resident Evil 8/9, Yoshi and Monster Hunter Stories 3. Already bought the DKB DLC, though.
Fire Emblem is a buy, as well. Though I still need to beat Engage...
Fwiw, Odyssey on Switch 2 is a clear visual upgrade than on OG Switch. If this is close to that, it will look awesome.
I don't blame anyone for balking at the price, because value will always be subjective, but to me it may be worth the upgrade. My kids playing these for the first time would also warrant it. If nothing else, I'll likely buy Galaxy 2.
I thought the main issues people had with it was it didn't maintain a good fps. I.e., it's more of a hardware issue because the media was already fed up with the perceived lack of power and so were most of the people who wanted to play Bayonetta 3.
And besides, if it was too different, fans would have burned them at the stake. It's impossible to make everyone happy.
I paid $55 for the game at launch, so this is like I'm paying $5 for the DLC. I don't mind that price.
@N00BiSH this conversation pops up all the time. "Why can't Nintendo be like they were before I was aware of their business practices?!" Is basically all ppl mean and they don't even realize it.
That Direct was a 9/10, for me. No Mario Kart World DLC was probably the thing that made me most concerned and even that is likely a temporary feeling because we didn't know 8 would get DLC when it launched and look how that turned out.
I have to agree with Ollie, the first game was inexpensive so making the second game considerably higher priced would have bothered many people. Speaking entirely from my own viewpoint here, I don't think Team Cherry priced it too low and that other people should compare games from devs just starting out to Silksong. But I guess this is the internet and someone is always mad, so the devs do have a point even if they should take it with a grain of salt.
@The_Nintendo_Pedant How is that misleading? The eShop is failing because of Silksong. Why mention store fronts for other platforms on a Nintendo-centric site? As I said, this isn't IGN, a generic gaming news site. It isn't NL's fault that people will insert their own commentary into that statement.

Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Scores A Free DLC Update This December
I will grab this on the Black Friday sale because I'm not 100% sure it will gel with me. But people rave about it.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - An Excellent Port Of A Timeless Classic
@Yakuboto I don't buy physical games.

Idc about GKC, I'm buying this on Switch 2!!!
Re: Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Announced For Switch 2, Launching In February 2026
I guess I might as well hop on Yakuza since Switch 2 is getting entries in the series and the little I played of a PS3 entry was pretty fun.
Re: Mario Kart World Has Been Updated To Version 1.3.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
That's a huge update. I was hoping for some kind of official tracker and now we have one!
Also, knockout tour with online friends is great. About time!
Re: UK Charts: Well, Look Who Cruised Back Into First Place
Imagine when DLC comes out for World.
Good sales for DKB, by the looks of it.
Re: Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac Switch And Switch 2 Performance & Resolution Detailed
I'd play it in performance mode you don't really lose much out of it on NS2.
Re: Opinion: Resident Evil Requiem Represents A Turning Point For Switch 2
It's been a long time since an RE game launched on a Nintendo system the same time as others, so I knew this was a big deal in itself.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th September)
Splatoon 3, DKB DLC/post-game and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Mario Kart World, as well.

Re: Nintendo Music "Special Release" Adds Tracks From Donkey Kong Bananza Today
This game has incredible music, so this is worth a listen.
Re: Japanese Charts: Switch 2 Surpasses 2 Million Units Sold
Very cool the Switch 2 is moving. I'm just ready for Metroid Prime 4 and a bunch of other games while I play my NS1 backlog on it.
Re: The Touryst: Deluxe Hits Switch 2 Next Week At 4K / 60fps
Never bought this and I'm a fan of the studio so I'll pick it up for NS2. Seemed like a goofy game.

@Dimey pricing in many countries has gone to insane levels and I blame greed/policy.

Re: Review: Hollow Knight: Silksong - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - Woven To Brutal Perfection
Many people called the first game a 10 and I disagree with that, but it's good to know they followed it up with another good game.
And no, I'm not one of those people who says "no video game is a 10." BotW and TotK are both relatively recent 10's for me.

So with this update that'll make One Piece an 8?
Re: The Entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Is Making Its Way To Switch 2
I mean, these are 90 gb games. Did any normal person expect these to go on a cart?
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Has Been Updated To Version 2.0.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I can understand why someone wouldn't buy it, but I bought the DLC because I didn't pay full price for the base game.
Re: ICYMI: If You Want To Play Virtual Boy Classics, You'll Need To Buy One Of Nintendo's Accessories
I don't have a premium membership, but even if I did, I would use makeshift cardboard to play these games.

And Mario Galaxy 2 in 4k. Sign me up!
Re: Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Charges Onto Switch 2 In 2026
I'm excited for this!
Re: Stardew Valley Is Getting Mouse Controls On Switch 2
I was hoping for this because mouse controls make sense and they already exist for PC.
So yep, looking forward to the update!
Re: Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Set To Haunt Your Switch 2 In 2026
I haven't played a Fatal Frame, but this looks like it could be great.
Re: Mario Tennis Fever Hits Switch 2 Next February
This looks really good!
Re: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound Patch Adds 60fps Mode, But There's A Catch
I guess this is close enough to a Switch 2 update as we'll get anytime soon.
Re: Warframe Devs On Switch 2 Version: "Thanks To Our Friends At Nintendo, We Are On It"
This was originally a PS4 game so I figure it should look nice on Switch 2. I'll start playing it there once it's available.
Marvel Rivals was recently confirmed for PS4 so I could see that also coming to NS2.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
Metroid Prime 4 will likely get a release date and I want some more Switch 2 updates for Switch 1 games. Other than that, Idk!
Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For Friday, 12th September 2025
Saw this on the Nintendo Today app before anyone posted it. I feel like one of the cool kids.
@SneakyLink yes, the very first one was on a Friday. (Still rare)
Also, an hour long? Wow, this is a big one, people.
Re: "The Most Impressive Switch 2 Port To Date" - Digital Foundry Examines Star Wars Outlaws

Re: First Impressions: Same But Different? - Our Initial Hours With Hollow Knight: Silksong
I can't imagine disliking this so I'll probably buy it down the line. Hollow Knight was a fun enough game, for me.
Re: The Switch eShop And Steam Are Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
@SplatRay001 yeah, that isn't a good reason to report it here. The contributor said his reasoning and it wasn't that.

@Olliemar28 that makes sense.

Re: The Switch eShop And Steam Are Buckling Under The Weight Of Silksong
Quick question, why do we care about Steam? Might as well put MS and PS stores in the headline while you're at it and call yourself IGN.
