I'll get this game on discount, but it sounds like a good time.

Death Stranding could happen, but I want Metaphor since everyone seemed to love that game. Also, where is the new Tales game? Maybe Nintendo wanted to wait until the main Direct in September to show that off...One can only hope.

I don't play splitscreen on BL, but the option would have been good.

These and a few other of Bethesda/id's classics could use a Switch 2 version.

I played some Mario Kart World this morning and did a few P block missions. The soundtrack on that game is brilliant. Played some more post-game of DK Bananza and got some more moons in Mario Odyssey. I also played some Drag X Drive. That is not one I think I'll pick up, which isn't a fault of the game but I wasn't good at it. Won a match in the new mode of Apex Legends on NS2. The NS1 version was serviceable, but it is much smoother on NS2.

Then I played some XCX DE even though I'm playing that slower in case we get a Switch 2 update. You never know, but I'd just rather play that with nicer visuals and frames if it becomes available. Almost forgot that I also played Mina the Hollower on Thursday. That demo was incredible. 120 FPS doesn't look terribly different from 60, but it's fun to say I played something at 120 FPS on Switch 2. Anyway, have a great weekend!

@ottoecamn okay, and? Did she say that the game is on a cartridge for NS1? Why bring it up?

@breach187 well, people can see that for themselves when they're going to buy it. Seems like a cheap way to get people to comment. But hey, it worked on me.

What's the relevance of it being a Game-key Card? Does that mean it isn't actually coming to NS2?

This reminded me of Dead Space/RE4 during the Direct and that's a massive compliment.

I'll get this on sale. Madden games are hit or miss, for me.

Gyro is also very "seamless" I didn't need to turn it on to activate it and don't need to use it to aim either up/down or left/right.

Upgrading because I want that DLC. Also, playing in the arena again will be fun.

Elden Ring and FFVII Remake are both there, so this is very cool!

I'll give it a whirl since the game is decent enough, especially for free.

I paid less than full price for Kirby and the Forgotten Land at launch, so I figured I'd get the DLC since it's not crazy priced. No idea why I even bothered to watch any of that video as I'm already sold on it, but it is much nicer looking than on NS1. So...there's that.

So the news cycle is more or less normal. Who could've expected this after 8 years of having the same announcement pattern? Not me!

This is of no consequence to me because I haven't bought these games, but that is pretty annoying for those who would want to upgrade.

Possibly a compilation. From what I heard, Super Mario 3D All Stars wasn't planned very far in advance. I really don't expect much of anything.

I told them I don't like game key cards not because I care personally, but the discourse surrounding them needs to die.

I also let them know specifically that there is no point in buying a third-party on NS2 if there are few/no on the cart physical releases. Don't say I never did anything for you.

Also, to echo others, we'll see if it matters but I doubt it will. Then again...why ask?

Edit: the survey allowed me to specify certain responses (i.e., fill in the blank) because I said things like "I am more likely to buy digital games on PS or Xbox than Switch/2." So answers like that will prompt it to ask for you to rationalize your preference. Which is basically most people's dislike for key-cards and yes, for you who do buy physical games, I said I dislike them.

A Switch 2 patch/upgrade down the line would be nice.

I just beat the Elliot from Philadelphia demo, it was really good. Donkey Kong Banaza, playing the post game. And I'm also back to XCX, as well as Mario Kart World.

@Serpenterror again, they are still massive companies. I get they have been poorly managed (more SE than Sega) lately but that is not a good reason. They could order in bulk if they were serious about selling physical copies on NS2.

And Switch 2 is selling as well as the stock can handle. Sales have been up and down since it launched.

I think it's safe to say there will be a "general" Direct before 2025 is over.

I don't doubt it will hit DS numbers.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got a 3 star gold trophy for the Switch Cup!

Great sales, thus far. In less than 1 full month it was past 5M units. That's pretty good, any way you cut it. While that Direct wasn't "amazing!!!!" it showed there is healthy support from partners and looks like a nice continuation of what NS1 started. Bring on P3R (which I hope they add the DLC to as apparently there was the "FES" content added?).

I'm getting the Kirby DLC, for sure.

This couldn't get 30 seconds in the Partner Showcase in the west.

It was fine, for me. Not everything has to, or can, be a 10/10.

Also, MH Stories 3 will be my first entry into the series and I never bought P3R because I figured Sega would release it on NS2. Glad to be right about that. And the Philly game's (not Madden, but go Birds! Saquon's iconic backwards jump to start the trailer was great) demo was good. Katamari is looking as weird as ever (good weird).

And really, this was a nice bonus showcase even if Xbox's lack of a presence seemed odd.

Little wild that SE had an upgrade path for one of its existing NS1 games they showed on the Partner Showcase, but not for this. Who at SE is making these baffling decisions?

I gave it a 7 because even though many games didn't interest me, there was a lot of new content.
And the early Switch 2 has been more or less what I expected. Which was a variation of the long forgotten early PS4/X1 days, where there were not many games for the console to call its own (like those two). Still, that this was considered a "bad" Direct and it had a lot of new games says how spoiled for choice we gamers are.

I'm downloading it now. The HD-2D games are usually fun and this one looks to be decent.
