Managed to get 2 bundles after Target flubbed pre-orders. Haven't set up because today is busy, but I'm likely posting an unboxing. Can't wait to finally play MKW!

I didn't get a fair amount of the moons that are on my profile, so I'm thinking I may start a new play through.

I'm insanely jealous.

Well, I guess it's finally about time to see what all the fuss is about with this game.

Too bad about the farming but I guess that isn't the main draw of this game.

I feel like expecting this to actually be like Forza Horizon is a mistake (even though I have jokingly compared this to those games), because it would be more boring if this were like that series. Clones are great, but the main draw with Mario Kart is racing with friends and that is probably the case with World.

Otherwise, this game sounds like a blast.

I agree that it should have been a pack in.

That's good news. If the gameplay isn't fun, then that sours the rest of a video game for me.

Both of mine are still showing (one for me and the other for my wife) but what a way for this to go.

Happened to see this on Nintendo Today and it actually is an instance where I noticed the frame rate difference. Must be huge for people who this kind of thing bothers.

Also, it's a little funny how when MS does this for their games (yes towards the end of the PS4/X1 generation many gamers complained gen 8 games ran poorly and relied on new hardware for their current games to run better), it's pro consumer and doesn't cost extra. But when Nintendo does it it's not enough and worse, "it costs $450!!!"

Well, I finally took the plunge on this one now that it's ultra cheap on eShop. This is one the eve of Switch 2, as well. Happy gaming!

That's awesome! 100% a Switch 2 buy, for me. Though that makes Fantasy Life i a tougher sell because they're both farm Sims with combat.

Maybe I could Lewis Black it and instead of getting one or the other, get both!

@crispfood2 Lego Horizon got very little attention and general dismissal from the gaming press, at large. Patapon is later, so that shouldn't factor in.

It's a little wild this game is coming to Switch because it's literally a Sony property. I feel like gaming outlets are not talking nearly enough about this, but you can bet they'd talk for months on end if any obscure Nintendo property was on another console/PC. Or even something that doesn't confirm Nintendo is putting games on PC but is an error.

Fantasy Life i and MKW are what I'm getting at Switch 2 launch.

My Switch will live on via Switch 2. I have a massive backlog and will play my old games alongside the new ones.

Mario Kart Tour is fine, so is Mario Kart Live (which is only limited because you can control either Mario or Luigi and nobody else).

That's cool. Wii U and 3DS started the Nindies trend and Switch has continued it.

Someone on the cesspool that is FB made the claim that NSO is $20 per month, which nobody corrected them on. In any case, there are a decent number of benefits to being a member, all told. And I generally think it's reasonably priced.

There is no way the cartridge is that expensive. Third-parties keep cheaping out. And yes, the onus is on them.

This was the best version of SC2. Sure, Xbox had Spawn and that was cool, but this one was so good.

@JaxonH nice. It seems the upgrade path will be relatively low cost (maybe it won't cost anything for Westerners, but who knows). I hope you like it!

Switch Up said the Switch port is great and I'm inclined to wait for the Switch 2 version, but it sounds like people are really enjoying it.

I understood what he was saying, but at the end of the day, people pay what they're willing to pay.

Wild how Sega is the only company NOT offering upgrade paths for any of their Switch games.

Even WB is doing that for Hogwarts Legacy, which NL has failed to report on.

@-wc- it's worth what you're willing to pay. Sometimes, that's just skipping something altogether. Hard to fault anyone for saying "no, I'm good." For any reason, especially if they're not weird about it (you don't seem to be, fwiw).

Take Two routinely puts Borderlands on sale so I'm not concerned with the (potential) $80 price tag.

It's really not, but that's because any new console launch will have some kind of issues for the early adopters.
