Ubisoft games go on sale all the time so I can wait but this seems interesting enough. Huzzah!

@Otimus not Nintendo, but people are just keen on posting negatively about NS2 even when it's factually inaccurate. Nothing is above reproach, but the sheer amount of negativity towards the system is almost fascinating. And, tbf, GVG did take down their initial video saying this is a bad port.

@jfp that's what I've been saying for some time. What's the relevance of that? At this point, it seems like that's their goal.

Aaaand there it is. Those videos posted of the leaked copy were right. It looks and plays well enough. And all of those videos/articles from multiple sources were pure rage bait (as expected). Makes you wonder about the final version of Elden Ring...

Edit: I'm gonna throw this out there... this should be a case study on how the internet physically can't act normal about the Switch 2.

I'd settle for 7 and 8 natively on NS2.

I hope we get a NS2 upgrade for this one.

I'm seeing mostly Switch 2 reviews for this game and they are from 6 to 8 so...

I would assume as much as they can, they will make it look and run well. Or that's what they are trying to say.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land DLC, it's been really fun, so far. I may also play through the colosseum. I will play more Deathloop over on Xbox and some more Mario Kart World since I'm trying to help my oldest kid three star some of the 150cc Grand Prix cups. It's my twins' birthday today so we will also celebrate that.

@PJOReilly good to hear it! My son has more hours in the NS1 edition of this than I do! Lol, one of my twin daughters wanted me to lend it to her so I'll play with her, then with the other twin, as well. There's a lot of Kirby in my future.

I liked GCN a lot, even with its faults, so one of these days I really need to upgrade to the higher tier NSO sub and finally play this game.

Bought. Seems like a good excuse to come back to this game. I will play this again with my kids.

Seems worth it.

I liked the Kirby cartoon, for what it was. Couldn't tell you a single episode off the top of my head, but I remember appreciating it at the time. So this is a good indicator that we'll see more of those types of projects and that's good with me.

So will NL review the Switch 2 upgrade of Kirby?

It will be more surprising if there isn't a Direct in September.

There will always be someone upset, but Nintendo's first-party video game sales indicate this is an accurate take.

This game was about as good as Banjo-Kazooie, so I'd play it again with nicer visuals.

Also, why is this full on cart but bigger third-party companies won't do that? Again, I will criticize them because if this company can do it, Sega can.

I will echo previous sentiments that I've had. The double standard for Switch 2 is a little wild because these are or were known issues for FromSoft games that still received widespread critical acclaim. But suddenly everyone cares when Switch (2) enters the chat.

Oh, and I watched both docked and handheld footage from Pax. It looks pretty good, imo.

I won't pay $60 for it, but I'm 100% buying it.

It would be cool of ActiBlizz to update the NS1 version to NS2. Mouse controls would be awesome for this game.

@Stormkyleis I've said that many times and the only explanations I have are it's multiplat while Metroid is exclusive and it's a lower price. Though that argument would falter if even half the sales of HK were on NS1. Plus, I guess the lower price on HK makes an impulse buy easier.

I had a feeling the release date announcement could go like this because people joked about it for a while.

@AJWolfTill I remember a few of them and many were trolls for a while that haven't commented under that name for years. But yes, it's weird to see these (likely) former commenters. The Switch-era hasn't generated enough negativity for them to return, methinks.

This game received pretty middling reviews when it was new. Like many Nintendo games, it's funny to see how later on, a lot of people are more generous with their review scores than when they were new.

It's a little wild this game came out to critical acclaim and may have the same issues as other versions, but the reviews for NS2 will take a hit for it.

@AussieMcBucket Switch 1 got the pocket version and that's the most we're getting from SE on that.

And about the game...it was fine.

I already "bought" this on Xbox so I'm good, but it's worth jumping into now that there have been major QOL updates since it launched.

Also, like most video games (or anything, I guess) it's best to come in with as few expectations as possible because you may not get the experience you thought.

I liked the original enough to want this, but not as badly as the rest of the internet.

Confirmation on (up to) 120FPS is good, though.

Indy will be mine and Pac Man World 2, as well. Daemon X Machina also looks interesting and same with Bubsy.

Given the developer's pedigree, this could turn out really well.

I'll get this if they announce it for NS2. I'm buying as few NS1 games as possible and I don't want this badly enough to buy it right away.

Okay, I usually like this studio's work and didn't buy this one so I'll pick it up on NS2.

It would be a little stupid of them to mention Nintendo consoles and not at least mean Switch 2 is one of them because why mention 4k if it isn't getting a release there. Then again, why be so cryptic?

I guess this will have more substantial content than the og (which is good because it was very bare bones. I'm sorry, but it was). Plus... maybe Nintendo's next Direct will be massive.
