I'm having a great time with it so far. Only knock I have against it is no native online multiplayer but I don't remember if RMX had it so at least having GameShare now is a very cool inclusion. Shin'en just always puts out bangers so I was more than glad to shell out for Fusion, they deserve as much success as possible
I'm glad that this at least has an upgrade path, although I have to wonder what the Switch 2 version is going to include in that upgrade path to justify the additional price
Honestly a really good selection imo. C. Viper has deserved a return for a long while now, Alex and Sagat are always cool to see, and I'm happy Ingrid is back because I know this will probably be her chance to shine. I have to wonder about the long gap between C. Viper and Alex, because HOOOOOOO boy that sounds like it might be another long wait, but of course it's been like that the past two years so maybe Capcom is just tempering our expectations this time lol
I played SF6 on PS4 initially when playing World Tour, so the 30fps isn't going to bother me upon replay. Just the fact it has such a solid portable version with full online with cross play so I can get cheaper online, it was a no brainer for me. The game was always a 10, and is still very much a 10.
Either most people just do not care about Welcome Tour actually being paid, or we have imposters among us. I got the Mario Kart bundle, picked up Cyberpunk and SF6 physically, and downloaded Fast Fusion
Japan and PAL's art is soooo good. Bengus's style in the series just makes everyone look so cool, especially here and the way the coloring is done just makes it look even more epic. I have no idea what Capcom was thinking for the US art. Like not only is it just character art, they chose Psylocke and Guile, the two most random choices for characters. I wonder what made them go with that compared to even using different more popular characters
Very happy to see NebulasRay finally get ported and Hamster is always great, but I do wonder why this is so high priced. Was it Namco wanting more from this licensing agreement? Was it Hamster setting a new price for future ACA releases because of inflation? And is their future releases going to have the same? Hopefully not because $15 for Ridge Racer 1 is gonna be steep.
Wasn't expecting this many additions to some of these games. HDR support for almost all games here is really cool to see along side sharper image quality! Does feel weird Grezzo's Zeldas on Switch don't have the frame rate mention, but I would assume they get something boost wise, but they aren't the most pressing frame rate improvements we need imo
Makes sense Tokimeki would be selling well considering the original is a storied game in Japan and the original has been absent for so long. I do really wish Konami was willing to try and bring this over to the west with an official translation, because I think it would probably do decently for itself in modern landscape of games like Tokimeki finding their niche.
@-wc- I mean Capcom obviously sees the arcade versions of all of their pre-7th gen titles as the versions most people that really want these collections (the players of these old games) as they are the versions that are basically exactly the same or a bit better than arcade, additional content aside. I would rather let these games have modern versions with great online over them just being left in the past and hard for the average modern gamer to get their hands on.
Very excited to get this collection. This is arguably the most bang for your buck collection, even considering the MvC Collection. There's just such a huge variety of games here, and barely any overlapping feeling of like any games blend together. Hopefully this will be as active as the MvC Collection on Switch when I pick it up, because there's so much to chew on for these games online. Obviously sucks we don't have versions like Alpha 3 Max or Project Justice's Dreamcast version as those obviously have some extra content, but I'm used to it by this point and there's so many good games here I can't complain for first impressions.
I wonder if any devs will stop GameChat from being used like how some titles won't allow screenshots or recording on Switch 1 if it was too resource intensive
@Zeebor15 Ok if the way I'm reading it is correct, then yeah maybe just doing all 3 at the same time is a good move casual side. Probably will let ArcSys do another marketing blitz with the Switch version again. And OMG that would make so much sense if they're doing "that game" especially after Another Code
@MirrorFate2 I was actually wondering about that. Can't believe they still don't know what to do for the rest of Season 4, which I just think they should just add for free at this point since they added Dizzy for free
Nothing for me just yet. I did register my interest a bit late so idk if I'll be part of the first few rounds of invos but hopefully I'm wrong because it would be really cool if I did get one lol
Even if they are a little stupid, I might buy a few here and there like SF6 or maybe Hitman. Sometimes I do like at least having some sort of physical thing on me so I do for some reason want to sell it, or the fact I at least own something. Going all digital for me is really only for games about $30 or less, anything above I usually want to at least buy something that isn't just tied to my account
I will definitely sell my Switch after I get my Switch 2 so I know I can transfer all of my save data and screenshots natively. Besides that knowing that basically all games I would want to play on Switch are going to be already working or are going to get Nintendo's fix for them, so I might as well get my money back easily for the Switch that's going to replace it
$20 is very reasonable to me. When I see them more as directly marked as a whole DLC Expansion and not just an upgrade with extra content, I feel more down with it in my head and wanting to upgrade over something like Sony's upgrades
Hopefully they can get a 120fps mode later because this would look amazing at 120fps. Obviously either way Shin'en makes amazing looking and playing games for such small sizes so still very excited to eventually check this out
Lmao no disrespect to Hazelight but how the hell is their game larger in size compared to 3 whole Hitman games, both base Cyberpunk and it's dlc, and SF6 with all of it's current dlc and updates
Man Sega is really committing hard to the Switch 2 hopefully. This means that all of their other big titles like new Yakuza's or Atlus titles will make it day and date with other platforms because it would make all the sense in the world
The SF ones definitely aren't worth it anymore for me, not even one really because at that point I could just get an actual main figure of any of the characters they have available at that point
Glad the console and game price is still the same, but it does suck that the accessories are even more expensive now. Sure things like the dock and Nintendo branded Express SD Cards aren't needed or can be gotten cheaper, but the Joy Con 2 pair being so expensive kinda sucks for any multiplayer games that are going to require them or at least have a cool exclusive mode with them. Makes me glad at least we can use old Joy con on modern games easily. And at least these are the ones getting increased when they are the least needed, at least for launch
It's really awesome they were willing and able to do this with all of the collections. If they can do this it would be crazy if they could get crossplay for all of the collections. Then this collection would just become a pure gold standard
@TrueBlueYoshi Nah Capcom has many more years of this game to come. They supported SF5 for 5 seasons of DLC so I bet they're gonna be supporting this game for many years
It makes sense that Capcom would drop her on the Switch 2 release date because they probably want to advertise this version as a version that stands along side with the other versions as a main version of the game to get so that way everyone gets parity.
I'll be honest and say that I'm not hoping on day 1 (price and scalpers aside) because I got my Switch the day Mario Kart came out just because I knew I had to jump off Nintendo's previous gen instantly because there wasn't much left there. However I have always been bugged by battery life and seeing as the Switch 2 has about the same as the Switch 1 originally, I think I'll try and hold out to see if they revise it eventually to have a better battery.
I know everyone is still up in arms about the price, I think it's a bit ridiculous too, but I figured that they were gonna show something in the Direct that is gonna make people do a completely 180 on the game price and buy it up in droves if the Switch 2 pricing itself isn't hit too hard in time for launch. Just saying I know the some of the people here and online as a whole are gonna have a double standard here lol.
I think they probably would say that the upgrade pack is a digital code on the front of the box if that was the case. Of course it would suck if that's the case, but I doubt it would be like that for Nintendo
Donkey Kong is surprisingly small considering how destructive the environment is. The Switch 2 versions are about in line those are mostly just DLC add-ons to the base game, and I full expect the Gamecube app to balloon as time goes on. Probably why they made it Switch 2 exclusive when after a few games the app takes up the entire base Switch file size. Mario Kart is the most surprising because that obviously is their biggest game ever, but it also makes me wonder where they had to really shell out for a 32GB cartridge and then it gets reflected back kinda similar to TotK
I guess it's probably ok I wait to get a Switch 2 anyways because I've always had a launch Switch and that battery life always did annoy me so I bet they'll improve it down the line.
It's really cool that Nintendo was willing to add the Expansion Kit's music considering I that Nintendo ignores the actual Expansion Kit for all F-Zero X releases
@RupeeClock The arcade version actually had severe slowdown as well. If anything the SNES version is better for most people because the arcade version of 3 basically blue balls you

Looks like it's gonna be as simple as download play, which is a very good thing. I just hope a lot of games will end up using it.
