Re: Three More Worms Games Are Joining Digital Eclipse's 'Armageddon' Remaster Next Year

Fighting_Game_Loser

Really nice that more games are being included in the collection, but it feels very odd to have them be released so soon after the physical version with this being a collection of old games and stuff, and not like Atari 50 where that came out nearly a year or 2 after it launched and was more than just a few games, with them having the documentary content being added as well

Re: Let's Do The Time Warp In This New 'Tetris Forever' Trailer

Fighting_Game_Loser

Honestly seems like a really cool mode to put in competitively. Seems like there could lots of back and forth interactions because of the time-warp. I only wish they were maybe able to represent a few more eras of Tetris, like maybe have one of Tetris's extra silly modes represent a time period like with tower climber and the late 90's and possibly Tetris Plus, or work with Enhance to have a Tetris Effect warp where you need to clear at least 8 lines in zone mode or something. Like I think that would be so cool for actually getting more Tetris history represented, while working around obviously nit being able to have those specific games on there

Re: All 14 Games In The Upcoming 'Tetris Forever' Compilation Have Been Confirmed

Fighting_Game_Loser

I'm definitely going to be picking this up, especially as a fan of Tetris and Digital Eclipse, but I feel like this should of been taken further in terms of game line-up. Tetris has so many games across so many consoles, so just focusing on the Famicom, Gameboy, and SNES mainly I feel like is really unfortunate, especially when there are other games that definitely should of been included. Atari/Tengen Tetris should of definitely been here (at least the arcade version) since Atari owns Digital Eclipse now. I also feel games like Tetris Plus, The New Tetris, Tetris Worlds, Tetris Party, Tetris Ultimate, Tetris Axis, hell put Facetris in there. Sure games like Gameboy/NES Tetris & Tetris DS I get since those are so Nintendo that they couldn't get them, and games like Tetris Grand Master are already being released separately, but I feel like if this is truly a legacy Tetris Collection, it needs a little more stuff in it.

Re: Hunter x Hunter's Fighting Game Delayed Until 2025, Now Adding Rollback Netcode

Fighting_Game_Loser

I honestly figured that this was getting delayed since they kept announcing nearly the whole roster it seems but we hadn't gotten any update on the release date. But its crazy they didn't have rollback right away. Considering how hardcore Eighting's fighters can skew, that audience would of immediately ran away over no rollback, so if this delay is just to put in rollback, it's probably for the best for this game to have its best chance

Re: Feature: "Venom, Dr. Doom, And Whoever I’m In The Mood For That Day" - Shuhei Matsumoto Talks Marvel vs. Capcom

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Serpenterror I mean we don't know when this interview was done, and the update was probably rolled out super fast to PS4 and PC because that was actually get the matchmaking work better on those systems, when the Switch was matching the quickest out of all of them. I would have to assume they're going to put it on Switch soon enough, definitely at least before the physical version releases

Re: Poll: What Is Your Favourite Game In The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection?

Fighting_Game_Loser

I can't say which one is truly my fav since I don't have the collection yet, so I was here to check the results. I figured MvC2 was the most popular and I was easily right, but I'm surprised to see that Punisher is somehow higher than the entire rest of the collection. I'm very curious to hear everyone's choices and explain why they are either said person's fav game and/or most played in the collection, because the explanation makes the choice much more interesting.

Re: Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition Physical Switch Release Confirmed

Fighting_Game_Loser

Thank goodness its not LRG. I think they're getting better but I just have started to dislike them more and more because they don't feel special and deserved anymore and are just cop-outs for lots of big publishers to avoid doing a normal release and that you can't have the ability to get it again after its pre-order easily, so whenever a game gets a release that is not only able to be bought at anytime, let alone it gets a full standard release, I get super happy

Re: Review: Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics (Switch) - A Stunning Showcase Of '90s Fighter Evolution

Fighting_Game_Loser

@bobby_steurer The thing is that fighters overall can be kinda hard to get better at when you're first starting out, but the main thing is that you just gotta find a game you find really fun and just want to get better at generally. If you think the games here look awesome and want to get better at them, than this collection is perfect. If you want to learn the overall basics of fighters, I recommend SF6 or Tekken 8. Both games have modes that help teach you a lot about how to fully play fighters in a fun and engaging way.

Re: Capcom Outlines Changes To Each Game In 'Fighting Collection 2'

Fighting_Game_Loser

@LadyCharlie If you are referring to how the Collection will make them feel, then if you've played the Capcom Fighting Collection, it will be just like that. If you're asking if any of the individual games feel good, all of these games are considered really good to classics. Except Fighting Evolution. No one like Fighting Evolution and is a total meme game in here lol

Re: Guilty Gear Strive's Switch Edition Won't Support Crossplay

Fighting_Game_Loser

@babybilly I don't mean by it's not short. Getting the best ending in the arcade modes is really hard and time consuming, but I mean more as in interesting spins on the gameplay. Like something that changes how the game is played or makes me engage with it beyond trying to beat arcade mode over and over, which is just a string of about 7 CPU matches, 1 boss which is either you fighting a normal character with an AI companion, or you fighting a slightly changed version of a character to make them harder to fight. I mean stuff like GGXX's survival mode that has you climbing levels of difficulty to gain buffs and status effects while fighting jacked up mini bosses all the time, or BlazBlue Central Fiction's Grim of Abyss mode which makes it almost like a rouge-like as you have to fight in little mini dungeons to get status buffs and grow stronger by acquiring books so you can face a gauntlet of stupidly insane and jacked up boss character versions of the ENTIRE cast. That mode is fighting game single player content at its best, so addictive

Re: Guilty Gear Strive's Switch Edition Won't Support Crossplay

Fighting_Game_Loser

@JR150 I'm sorry to tell you dude, but Strive is pretty barren for single-player content. All it really has is a pretty barren arcade and survival mode, and a story mode that is just a 4 hour anime movie. A very good anime movie, but just a movie none the less. If you want more single player content out of a GG on Switch, GGXX has a lot more variety. But Strive did end up now with more characters, probably more easy to learn mechanics for casual players, the more flashy visuals, and the rollback netcode. So depending on what you would want more you could probably do either or depending on what you're looking for in a fighter

Re: Guilty Gear Strive Confirmed For Switch In 2025, Includes Rollback Netcode

Fighting_Game_Loser

@anoyonmus Ah alrighty. I guess that would explain that. I never would of thought that a big triple A game like MK11 would of still been using UE3, I guess the upgrades they made to it made it look a lot better than the average UE3 game with realism.
Also @yohn777 I apologize for my mistake I legit thought that MK11 was on UE4. I haven't really ever gotten into NRS games so I had no idea they had been using their own version of UE3 the whole time

Re: Guilty Gear Strive's Switch Edition Won't Support Crossplay

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Samalik Well I know casuals do benefit from it, having better connections overall is good, but just rollback netcode on its own doesn't really do much for casual players because most don't even know what the term means. Crossplay is something that every casual gamer knows and understands what it does, so it's inherently much more enticing than rollback, at least how I see it

Re: Guilty Gear Strive's Switch Edition Won't Support Crossplay

Fighting_Game_Loser

@HeroYoshiko Rollback netcode is basically a way games can mitigate the lag in online matches to make it a bit better to play online. Its nice to have, but I will say FGC heads make it out to be more important than it actually is since only really hardcore people care about that, which I can see you are not which is fair. Crossplay to me as well is much more important because that does always make sure there are more players than rollback ever will on its own, especially on Switch

Re: Guilty Gear Strive's Switch Edition Won't Support Crossplay

Fighting_Game_Loser

Honestly this is kind of a deal killer for me already after buying already caving and buying Strive on PS, because I do care about being able to play online with others a lot, and I have kind of a feeling if the audience that buys this port doesn't play online regularly, that I would kinda not really play this much considering Strive's lack of single player content. Would only buy this really if I came across enough people that would be willing to try out the game if I took it everywhere, if one of my friends that really loves GG gets it here as well and we can play local wireless, or they somehow get Team of 3 here and you can actually play it with 6 players locally

Re: It Looks Like Guilty Gear Strive Is Coming To Switch

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Serpenterror I think that Xrd hasn't come to Switch because it was developed on UE3, and I believe the Switch doesn't support it for development. So if they do want to port it, they would have to jump through a bunch of hoops to make it work, and even then since they added rollback on PC, they probably don't want to release the game again without it so it's kinda just stuck where it is for the moment

Re: Random: How Do You Find Out The Best 16-Bit-Era Game? Play Them All, Of Course

Fighting_Game_Loser

I feel like this is definitely an accomplishment to play all the titles from the 16-bit era, but I agree with the other and feel like this is definitely lob-sided to Nintendo bias, because I'm not sure what scale of how these games are ranked, and in someways maybe it's impossible to truly review every title without actually beating them, or at least making it half-way or so through the games. I might have to check out the blog to understand how these are ranked and stuff

Re: Nintendo's Share Price Tanks Amid Fears Of A US Recession

Fighting_Game_Loser

Investors for all companies are just trying the best they can to get quick money and try to be so ahead of the curve that the curve for the things they sold for ends up not mattering. But I will say the US economy is struggling rn as an America not as sales, but as the fact that the US has had such a level of modern inflation and people just can't keep up anymore and so people are trying their best to be as cautious as possible with their money, or interest rates are so high with debts people have that it's unsustainable for people to pay off those debts

Re: Rumour: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games "Finished"

Fighting_Game_Loser

Honestly while I'm not surprised, I do kinda wish we at least got 1 more title, at least for the winter olympics. I think that if they had a proper suite of both normal events and dream events, and possibly a story mode more like the DS Winter Games title. They had potential to end off on the most quality one yet if they got to do winter following the Tokyo title, since it was going in the right direction following the Wii U games, but considering they skipped out on both the 2018 & 2022 Winter Olympics, I figured they were finished a while ago

Re: New Pokémon Snap Is The First Official Pokémon Release In China Since 2000

Fighting_Game_Loser

Man I had no idea Chinese releases for the Switch were still so much more staggered even from the Chinese launch of the system. I thought by now they had gotten a more consistent release schedule for games on the system, but I guess the government still has their approvement policies making the games take forever to come out. I wonder what games by now are officially available if they are still very staggered
