@Vyacheslav333 Yeah I did see that. Not really picking any games up rn because I got a huge backlog of games to go through (and a lot of other fighters I already have and want to practice), but even then if I did want to pick it up, I would need you to play with me lmao. Because I know it don't got single player content and idk how many people are still playing online
I would like to be able to keep my Joy Cons in order to play multiplayer with full controllers right away because if this thing is backwards compatible and a lot of games just require the same inputs the Joy Con has, then that just means I have a lot more controllers to use like how the Wii U used all Wii accessories for instant multiplayer
This is literally so hard to think up because there's literally endless possibilities for the Gold Master series but the fact there's so many stories in the world of video games that need to be told it's hard to know where to start. I personally think that maybe doing a game that has a focus on some Japan only computer games from the MSX or Sharp X6800 that are super influential but the western gaming world have no context for. As for DE making a huge company or series celebration title for the Gold Master Series, I would be really hoping for something like Hudson Soft, Konami, or Midway. I feel like they're super important to the early days of video games and laid many different foundations for quality and standards in the video game industry, but they all might be hard to get based on if any of them don't think a collection like that is unviable
@Itachi2099 Lmao my same thought dude. Considering the one Saudi game fund is not only the new owners of SNK, but also have a roughly 5-10% stake in Nintendo, and were able to put Terry in Smash to specifically rep Fatal Fury, I feel like they have to be having worked on for Nintendo's next system, which would be awesome because if this was a launch title, I think this would be my game to pick up lmao
Makes sense to just have Stories 1 on card instead of forking out for both when 2 already had the cart release. It's not like the Mega Man and Resident Evil collections where the bigger game that had no Nintendo physical gets the code
I played the demo and yeah it was very fun but it just lacks polish on Switch where it should be completely fine. I still have no idea why some devs or publishers don't prioritize the Switch version, even when its obvious that the Switch version is going to do the best of all of the versions. Many devs just work too high up and work back down for Switch, when they obviously should work from the ground up and move it up to the other more powerful systems. I'll most likely just get it elsewhere on sale unless the Switch version gets patched to fix the bugs
I only do digital unless I'm getting a significantly better deal than a physical copy or if it's basically the only easy way to get a game. Otherwise I'm still more receptive towards physical, because the thought of spending full price on a simple download just has never been right in my mind. If I'm paying $60 for a game, I need to make sure I have it on disc
I'm really excited to try this out. It just seems like the most pleasant little game and I'm all here for it after going Sunsoft crazy with Gimmick's and Trip World's return
It's pretty cool that this game is coming home, but man it feels weird considering the series moved away from the 2012 series a long while ago. Raw Thrills is always neat considering they're the last major American arcade game producer that makes actual video games
It taking place in Kalos is cool but I really hope that Pokemon Company invested in getting Game Freak a support studio because considering they just finished the Scarlet and Violet DLC, this could turn into a whole other fiasco when Game Freak just doesn't have the needed time or man power alone
I feel like Psychonauts would be a great series to make the jump. Like its a 3D platformer that has lots of quirky characters. That is literally made for Switch and definitely not in any Xbox wheel house like Hi Fi Rush in terms of tone and style of game. Also Killer Instinct 2013 would be great to come over as well. I have a feeling the fact it was an early Xbox One title that they could probably get a really solid version on Switch quite easily with a bit of time investment
@Dizavid Dude chill it's not like its that serious. Like if it comes it'll be awesome but I just don't expect it to happen ever. Plus I actually quite dislike people suffering in something like fighting games. I like to try and teach people the best I can so they can be more easily understood and enjoyed. My name is just a fact that I kinda suck at them
Surprising both of these are coming so soon, especially considering Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush had more official mention and info that 100% confirmed they were jumping ship, but hey both of these games are seeming great as well. Pentiment seems more up my alley so I'll have to maybe check it out in the future
I love Vanillaware's games and style a lot so I'll definitely be checking out this demo. I might just delete my save file since I don't get to buying games right away so I'll probably forget where I am, but I'll definitely play to get a feel for the combat
Honestly the fact that people are still begging and getting their hopes crushed when Nintendo very clearly isn't ever going to bring it to the U.S. is hilarious.
I don't even care anymore man. These rumors just make the wait worse because we keep getting pulled in a million different directions. I'm just gonna want to wait until Nintendo actually shows it
I'm so excited for this game. It looks like such a lovely game, and its awesome to see an actual in-house Sunsoft project, and its looking like the usual masterpieces they made back in the NES days. Hopefully I can get a physical at some point, but if not I'm more than willing to pay over my usual purchasing limit for digital games of $20 for this
@Vyacheslav333 I mean, I think you should be playing online honestly. I bet it will help everyone keep playing the game more, which helps for Switch since the amount of people buying and playing it is gonna be much less than people on PS and PC. Plus most anime fighters aren't usually the best at single player content, and I say this as someone who values said content a lot. Games like BB are unfortunately an anomaly, because to me Chronicles didn't really feel like good single player content to me, it was just another visual novel slapped on top of a fighting game, one that you didn't really even get to play in said mode.
@imadeanaccount Funnily enough, the similarities are honestly just a coincidence considering French-Bread and Arc Sys simply happen to have very similarly styled sprites
I hope UNI 2 is successful. The original is very fun and this is seeming to be a great upgrade from the original, so I can only hope that this game sells well. And cross-play. This game needs cross-play solely because of the fact of this Switch version lol
Man I'm glad its finally coming soon! I finally played Lilac's campaign for the first time a few years back on Wii U and really enjoyed it! Felt more so like if Treasure made a game with Sonic-like elements, which I think makes Freedom Planet a lot more memorable and notable compared to if it was structured and played exactly like a Sonic title. I can't wait to see how the gameplay and story evolved since the first game, and I remember the PC version getting good reviews so this is definitely on my radar.
Honestly, I think Europe wins this one. Japan's is nice but it feels like Samus is placed a little weird in framing to make it amazing. The black box styled original US art is very iconic solely because its the one that we all see people use and its very recognizable, but I think Metroid is one of those games that is slightly dampered by the style like Clu Clu Land and Kid Icarus with how more out there and expressive the art should be to help communicate their characteristics. Iconic but not my favorite choice. Not the classic series design is weird for me because I always have see that label used for the game but thought it looked off and was some weird regional varient, but now that I see it in full, I'm even more mixed, because now Samus is front and center in a well placed pose, like she should be, but it just looks like Metroid 2's art copied here with none of the amazing background art of Metroid 2. And then all of the taglines and banners kill it for me. It's just too much and clutters the space when Metroid isn't that type of series. Really mixed on that one. But then Europe? Mwah. I have never seen it before but my goodness this is some fantastic art. The iconic silver boarder is here of the American art but the actual art on the inside is immaculate. Samus just standing in the dimly lit hallway with Chozo holograms showing where you are exploring has a history and secrets and the design is perfect showing the lonely and dim atmosphere throughout the game. And then Samus is standing defiantly in the center, looking determined and ready to explore is amazing. Everything just comes together right with this art that makes it perfect for appealing to people just seeing the art to convince them of their purchase to convay what the game is like with needing to obstruct the art or make it more dull and generic, while keeping the core of what makes Metroid special and is just amazing to look at
@HammerKirby Ah alrighty. I guess this reprint is cheaper then, but its still kinda nothing. Like I'm pretty sure most people would of wanted something else to be the final game rather than Pirate's Curse again
Wow, what a nothing release! I don't say this to be mean but for a "totally final" 3DS release, this is pretty nothing when Pirate's Curse already has a wide spread physical release for 3DS that is arguably much better to grab for an affordable price and LRG could of had like a seminal 3DS EShop title that has never had a physical release, but they just put out the same game with a different piece of cover art and a collector's edition there isn't a reason to get if you got LRG's previous collector's editions. Yay
Ok this is definitely more up my alley from what I want to see Atari producing or commissioning as it just isn't a simple remake from the other "Recharged" line of titles and wants to try and make a genuine new title using the style of arcade and old titles and reformatting the gameplay to try and take it beyond a simple high-score title. Might check this out
Man they 100% should of put this on 4th of July. That would of been so fitting yet so funny. Jokes aside, really cool to see this coming over! Always nice to see Switch usually getting a complete edition of a current gen title. Usually means that if its coming out later it might arguably be the best version to pick up for people who haven't played it yet
I'm not surprised that it has grown a lot in sales over the holidays from sales and stuff because Mario + Rabbids not only did well for being a launch window game, but also did well because it was Mario game with usual Ubisoft level discounts. Most people don't care for most Mario spin-offs in proportion to what the mainline games do (aside from Kart and Party), so having a Mario game with Rabbids or even being a good strategy game isn't what brings in the potential 10+ million of what Ubisoft got with the original, its the fact consumers see a Mario game put on sale for $20 compared to the other spin-offs that are still full priced, and are willing to buy it more just from that
Pretty cool to see that the UK charts have platform splits now! I bet it will provide lots of useful info on what games are selling on what consoles to get a better understanding of the current market even more
@FishyS. To be fair, MK11 Ultimate doesn't have any sort of boxed release for Switch. Most people that might want MK11 on Switch are either buying the base game physically, or just buying it digitally
Man this collection was just such a weird thing for LRG to do and I feel like they did it just because they could instead of spending time on literally anything else with the Carbon Engine. Hopefully the Jurassic Park Collection doesn't suffer the same fate of being available for such a short time
Sega has such an amazing back catalog of series they could do I'm down for almost anything, but of the ones announced I'm most excited for Jet Set and Shinobi. They both seem to be the most stylish and far along and have so much potential. Jet Set does still seem early but if they get the movement perfect this time mixed with the level design, it's easily going to be the best of the trilogy. Shinobi already looks fantastic, which is nothing new for LizardCube who seems to be making it, and just has such a great style. I lived the part with Joe Musashi riding the dog along-side the huge titan. Absolutely breathtaking
This is pretty awesome! I wasn't sure who Digital Eclipse was going to do next but this is a pretty awesome thing to do. The fact they even have a game from the Konix Multisystem and so many different titles makes this a must buy for me
Honestly, I can understand why Atari would want to focus a lot of retro stuff, considering that's where most of their notaritiy comes from, but I think if Atari did try to make a push into more proper modern releases I bet they could have some cool stuff
Aw man, this is really heart breaking to see, because I really wanted to see the story mode fleshed out and finished along side the dlc, it's even how I was able to convince my brother to get the game, but I can imagine the work that it took to try and get it in a good state next to all of the time and money they needed to keep the online running and to develop the dlc characters, I bet it became a little too costly overtime, and I bet Modus wasn't really to invest more into Mane 6. I'm glad that the new characters will be dropping both at once, and maybe if there os enough support it could come back. Probably won't, but I can always dream
I know Among Us became a really mainstream game, but it's nice to see that they definitely have been grounded to their indie roots. Doing cool crossovers like this with other indie games will be awesome because I bet this will help put many amazing games on the map for many many younger kids who might just know Among Us, but see these crossovers and might want to try the games they're from
@LikelySatan Oh don't worry dude I love fighters on Switch too. Literally only got into fighters because the Switch has my now favorite fighter that got me into the genre, when before I got into them just a few years ago before I got to High School, I simply thought I wouldn't be able to play them properly because I couldn't do motion inputs lol. Now it's one of my favorite genres. But we are in a minority of hardcore fighter fans when most people's only fighter has been Smash, so that's why I even mentioned analog stick lol
@DestructoDisk I know, but I was just assuming he was more casual and meant analog stick. Although I guess my point does still apply, as arcade sticks are mainly used by people who are already fighting game fanatics, aka, most people who aren't playing Switch
@msvt To answer all 3 questions, 1. KOF has always used a mix of more fast paced 4 button fighters and Street Fighter's punch and kick set up, as KOF has light punch and kick, and heavy punch and kick. 2. If anything, MK is an outlier in traditional 2d fighters, as basically every single 2d fighter uses motion inputs. And 3. Most people prefer to play on dpad (including me) in fighters. There are some people who play on analog stick, but it's largely recommended that dpad is your control method

I'm glad that the new characters will be dropping both at once, and maybe if there os enough support it could come back. Probably won't, but I can always dream
Re: Among Us Seems To Be Teasing A Huge Indie Crossover
I know Among Us became a really mainstream game, but it's nice to see that they definitely have been grounded to their indie roots. Doing cool crossovers like this with other indie games will be awesome because I bet this will help put many amazing games on the map for many many younger kids who might just know Among Us, but see these crossovers and might want to try the games they're from
Re: Reminder: The King Of Fighters XIII: Global Match Is Now Available On Switch
Re: Reminder: The King Of Fighters XIII: Global Match Is Now Available On Switch
@DestructoDisk I know, but I was just assuming he was more casual and meant analog stick. Although I guess my point does still apply, as arcade sticks are mainly used by people who are already fighting game fanatics, aka, most people who aren't playing Switch
Re: Reminder: The King Of Fighters XIII: Global Match Is Now Available On Switch
