Re: F2P eShop Title 'Omega Strikers' Ends Development Just Months After Launch

Fighting_Game_Loser

It honestly does suck that the team weren't able to make the game be as successful as they needed it to be because Omega Strikers is an awesome game, but it live-service games are just so hard to break into with only so many games being able to hold people's attention. I hope that the next game Odyssey creates is more so designed at being a full force game from the get go and maybe future content in the future (a fighting game with these characters would slap hard) because it does seem the team really cares about the characters and world they created and just wanted to make a super fun game with a competitive spirit (which I think they did do well) but just didn't hold the momentum they needed to keep it afloat for longer. Happy that they are still keeping it up so people can still play and enjoy it for the foreseeable future

Re: Atari Acquires Retro Specialist Digital Eclipse

It's neat that Atari is letting Digital Eclipse continue the Gold Master series, I'm still really interested in what they have for the future. But I honestly can't blame Atari for wanting to get Digital Eclipse. When they make a collection like Atari 50 and make your sometimes "Eh" line up of games look historic and amazing, you got something special on your hands.

Re: Pac-Man Returns In... Another Battle Royale Game?

Fighting_Game_Loser

Honestly I think this might be a better use for a Battle Royale for Pac-Man. Pac-Man 99 was fun and I'm glad it had single player content, but it just didn't mesh as well with the pre-existing 99 format Tetris used, I think shutting that down and bringing this over to other platforms is probably the right move. Very interested to check this out

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy A Digital-Only 'Switch 2'?

Fighting_Game_Loser

I only buy digital for games that are either only digital, or they have huge sales that make it kinda pointless in picking up the physical version. My stance is that I won't buy anything digital above $30 or if its only digital. The cost of buying something digitally at $40 or above makes it feel like I'm throwing my money to the void when I have a game I can hold in my hands for the end of time

Re: Video: Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition Side-By-Side Comparison (Switch & PS5)

This actually seems to be a super impressive port for the system! The fact that Borderlands art style is so much better to being subject to downgrades makes this much more worthwhile as both a portable and home version. I'm thinking of picking it up but the EShop listing says that it requires an internet connection to play which feels odd. If anyone bought it please let me know if it can be played offline. That's the only thing that's holding me back from wanting to pick it up

Re: Switch Fighter DNF Duel Season Pass Roadmap Revealed

Fighting_Game_Loser

@LikelySatan Dude if it wasn't complete it wouldn't of taken the team over a year to start releasing dlc characters. DLC characters in a fighter doesn't mean that the game isn't complete, it just means they're continuing support for the game so that people stay invested in the game. Also I made that comment almost half a year ago at this point, so things change drastically

Re: Review: Samba De Amigo: Party Central - Sega's Cult Classic Returns In Need Of A Shake-Up

Fighting_Game_Loser

@Anti-Matter Honestly I don't really care about the time period of the songs, I'm more so iff-ed on the type of songs they choice. Samba De Amigo's visual and musical identity is heavily rooted in Latin America culture and theming, so seeing all of these safe, contemporary pop songs over more Latin American styled tracks like Smooth, Mambo No. 5, Living La Vica Loca, etc., over songs like dang Tic Tok

Honestly as someone who loves the Wii version of Samba De Amigo and tried out the demo, I think it's more so the controls are more so unorthodox in their function based on what people think they should control like. I will admit that Party Central does feel much odder than the original's controls, but I got accustomed to them after a bit. Definitely gonna be picking this one up

Re: Talking Point: The Games We Got Rid Of - What Were We Thinking?

Fighting_Game_Loser

I think my greatest regret when it comes to discarding games is a game I do have, but more so its extras. I got Kirby's Dream Collection at about the ripe age of about 7, and I was so excited to play it as it was around then I was becoming a huge Kirby fan, but since I was 7, I threw away the cardboard box, but then later on I threw away the cd because I didn't know what it was really for, let alone would I of had any way to use it at the time. I kick myself for that one to this day as someone who loves getting physical cd's and vinyls for music I love. And the artbook that came with it slowly over time kinda degraded in quality and one day I simply lost it, but I read through that so many times, I loved going through that. But now my copy of Dream Collection is a shell of its former self and I deeply regret what my younger self did. One of these days I'm gonna sell my current copy of Dream Collection and get a good condition copy of the game with everything included so that I can finally have everything all together once again

Re: Review: Toaplan Arcade Garage: Zero Fire - M2 Tackles Gaming's Greatest Meme In A Fine, If Stingy, Collection

Fighting_Game_Loser

As much as I love M2, I always think their M2 ShotTriggers releases are stupidly overpriced for the amount of game you get. The bonuses of them are really neat, but the fact that the ports and extra have to cost extra for digital users and drives up the price of the physical when these should be about $30 max personally. I feel like the work that other studios publish end up having much better pricing for their games
