Rainbow Road Wii is my fav mostly because I have such good memories with it and it makes the transition so well, but every course here is great in my opinion, even the Tour tracks. Arguably the best Wave is right here
@Waluigi451 Its probably because the licences for the dlc tracks haven't expired yet and there are people who haven't bought them all yet while the game itself probably had their contracts expire and would rather have any new Taiko purchasers get the newest game
I love The Behemoth and their games a lot so I'm very excited to get this eventually. I still have my copy of the original for Gamecube so I might sell my copy and get the HD bundle because the Gamecube version is selling for decently high right now lol
@Clyde_Radcliffe Nah man the homies are having their moment But also probably that the Kirby to the right is pushing the other Kirby away from the explosion, but still lets the homies have their moment
@Waluigi451 Quite a few actually. My main game I mention is Them's Fightin' Herds. Has amazing netcode and seamless crossplay in the pixel lobbies. Power Rangers Battle for the Grid have full crossplay as well. And of course not to mention lots of the major live service games like Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys, and other major paid games like Minecraft and Among Us
Honestly cross-play is probably a fever dream in the eyes of the Switch version considering the improvements that still need to be made to make MK1 Switch worthy of the price its at, not to mention that MK11 on Switch, which although a great version, has no cross-play functionality
It honestly does suck that the team weren't able to make the game be as successful as they needed it to be because Omega Strikers is an awesome game, but it live-service games are just so hard to break into with only so many games being able to hold people's attention. I hope that the next game Odyssey creates is more so designed at being a full force game from the get go and maybe future content in the future (a fighting game with these characters would slap hard) because it does seem the team really cares about the characters and world they created and just wanted to make a super fun game with a competitive spirit (which I think they did do well) but just didn't hold the momentum they needed to keep it afloat for longer. Happy that they are still keeping it up so people can still play and enjoy it for the foreseeable future
It's neat that Atari is letting Digital Eclipse continue the Gold Master series, I'm still really interested in what they have for the future. But I honestly can't blame Atari for wanting to get Digital Eclipse. When they make a collection like Atari 50 and make your sometimes "Eh" line up of games look historic and amazing, you got something special on your hands.
I have a feeling Mario is definitely gonna be outselling Spiderman 2 in the long run in these charts. Many Sony titles get bought up right away and then sales tank but main Mario titles always hold steady spots on the best sellers charts
I have to go with Europe's art because of how meticulous it looks, but both the others look great as well. Wario Land Shake It is just a beautiful game overall
This is great to see another amazing modern port like this. I haven't played any of the games yet but I've always wanted to so I might pick this up later on sale
Honestly I think this might be a better use for a Battle Royale for Pac-Man. Pac-Man 99 was fun and I'm glad it had single player content, but it just didn't mesh as well with the pre-existing 99 format Tetris used, I think shutting that down and bringing this over to other platforms is probably the right move. Very interested to check this out
I only buy digital for games that are either only digital, or they have huge sales that make it kinda pointless in picking up the physical version. My stance is that I won't buy anything digital above $30 or if its only digital. The cost of buying something digitally at $40 or above makes it feel like I'm throwing my money to the void when I have a game I can hold in my hands for the end of time
@Dm9982 Oh perfect! Thank you for the clarification! I saw that it said Internet was required for some reason on the EShop but that felt weird so I had to do some digging first but wasn't able to find anything. Thank you very much for the help!
This actually seems to be a super impressive port for the system! The fact that Borderlands art style is so much better to being subject to downgrades makes this much more worthwhile as both a portable and home version. I'm thinking of picking it up but the EShop listing says that it requires an internet connection to play which feels odd. If anyone bought it please let me know if it can be played offline. That's the only thing that's holding me back from wanting to pick it up
With all of the villagers that exists, Lego could probably make a killing off of a blind bag series for these guys. The designs of them look really cute and I bet they could make some awesome sets for this
@anoyonmus I think the original Hitman of the original trilogy isn't the only one that would be able to make it over, I just think it would end up being the easiest for IO Interactive
I've always wanted to play the Hitman games because I've always seen some of the insanity that you can get away with. Of course most of that has been the modern titles and those are just super expensive to get the full experience for, but having one of the older ones natively on Switch would be awesome. Definitely gonna be keeping an eye on this one
How does Tim Sweeny say they don't make enough money to support all of their employees when they literally have not only one of if not the biggest game of the past decade, but also easily the biggest 3rd party game engine for most developers
@LikelySatan My guess is probably not considering that it seems that they're just putting the normal retail edition inside a box with all of these extra bonuses. Although I'm not 100% sure. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask Pix'n Love or Sega of Europe support to get the answer
@kennykenny LRG's pre-orders are open pre-orders so that everyone who wants a copy can get a pre-order, allowing LRG to know how many copies to print after the pre-order ends
While it is nice that these are finally getting modern physical editions, the fact that Sega has only done these through LRG just shows that LRG's size allows big companies like Sega to bwe lazy and not have to make a wide-spread physical release, even if only in Japan
This just feels like extra stock Sega had laying around and thought the best way to get rid of it would be to try and get collectors to buy the game again for the third time
@LikelySatan How did the fgc ruin the genre for you? I feel like the vastness of the fgc was the reason I was only able to finally see the amazingness of this genre of game
@LikelySatan Dude if it wasn't complete it wouldn't of taken the team over a year to start releasing dlc characters. DLC characters in a fighter doesn't mean that the game isn't complete, it just means they're continuing support for the game so that people stay invested in the game. Also I made that comment almost half a year ago at this point, so things change drastically
God I'm so glad that iam8bit is doing this release. I was worried that Limited Run was gonna be doing it and then I would of had to fork out how much to get a version of the game with the ost (because I really want it), but this allows me to actually pick it up whenever I'm able to, possibly even finding it at my local GameStop!
As someone who only got into the deep thickets of the Bomberman series a bit more recently, I've been super excited to pick this up. I enjoyed my time with Super R a while back but I plan to get a lot more out of this newest release. Will definitely be picking this one up as soon as possible
@Anti-Matter Honestly I don't really care about the time period of the songs, I'm more so iff-ed on the type of songs they choice. Samba De Amigo's visual and musical identity is heavily rooted in Latin America culture and theming, so seeing all of these safe, contemporary pop songs over more Latin American styled tracks like Smooth, Mambo No. 5, Living La Vica Loca, etc., over songs like dang Tic Tok
Honestly as someone who loves the Wii version of Samba De Amigo and tried out the demo, I think it's more so the controls are more so unorthodox in their function based on what people think they should control like. I will admit that Party Central does feel much odder than the original's controls, but I got accustomed to them after a bit. Definitely gonna be picking this one up
How in the world do they make so many Jumanji games when there has only been two modern movies that I feel like most people have forgotten about yet here we have almost a yearly supply of Jumanji video games
I think my greatest regret when it comes to discarding games is a game I do have, but more so its extras. I got Kirby's Dream Collection at about the ripe age of about 7, and I was so excited to play it as it was around then I was becoming a huge Kirby fan, but since I was 7, I threw away the cardboard box, but then later on I threw away the cd because I didn't know what it was really for, let alone would I of had any way to use it at the time. I kick myself for that one to this day as someone who loves getting physical cd's and vinyls for music I love. And the artbook that came with it slowly over time kinda degraded in quality and one day I simply lost it, but I read through that so many times, I loved going through that. But now my copy of Dream Collection is a shell of its former self and I deeply regret what my younger self did. One of these days I'm gonna sell my current copy of Dream Collection and get a good condition copy of the game with everything included so that I can finally have everything all together once again
As much as I love M2, I always think their M2 ShotTriggers releases are stupidly overpriced for the amount of game you get. The bonuses of them are really neat, but the fact that the ports and extra have to cost extra for digital users and drives up the price of the physical when these should be about $30 max personally. I feel like the work that other studios publish end up having much better pricing for their games
Probably isn't gonna be releasing on Switch considering it's similar style to KOF15, but it would be cool if it did get for Switch or even Nintendo's next console
Awesome this finally has a release date two days after my birthday lol. Got really excited when this finally showed up as I was watching EVO (which everyone should be checking out btw)
Really cool to see this fully announced after the ratings leak. Gameplay doesn't seem too much completely new from the original but that's ok. Might just have to sell my copy of the original so then I can have some extra cash for it
