I have been waiting for this moment for so long as Switch is the only platform I have SG on, so this is great news. Can't wait to hop back online and hopefully find some matches

Lmao they literally made an update to a 3DS game in 2022 just to get rid of exploits. Classic Nintendo move right there

@Moroboshi876 Yeah I do agree with that. I just bought Atari 50 and knew the game was on there so I was confused at first

@Snatcher Honestly, I'd say stick with all of them! I got into fighting games about a year or two ago, and I bought and ended up playing so many that it's hard to keep track lol. Don't be like me and have the compulsive need to play as many of them you wanna play in the shortest amount of time possible and not have the urge to try and play with all characters. Just find all of the games you're into and find your fav characters to play, and just have fun! No need to take everything seriously right away, the experimentation is what makes fighters so cool! @Snatcher Well hey! The fgc is very enthusiastic and inviting for helping newcomers get better at the games we play! We basically always try and train each other up into the best possible! Maybe even try going around looking for matches in games you enjoy! Heck I could even help you with some matches if you so desire! Just keep having fun with the games you play and the grind and improvement will come along in no time!

@LikelySatan Ohhhh, I see what you're saying now. I do definitely like having versions of games on cartridge that I know are full and 100% complete. Seeing as this is coming out in Spring, right around when the new character should drop, I would expect that the cart should include the balance patch right away and the character should drop day and date, if not possibly be even included on Switch

@SonOfDracula First-Party Nintendo games, sure. But third parties mainly run off of their servers. Plenty of fighters on Switch use rollback and even crossplay. It's more so about the individual game than the whole service.

@Snatcher Speaking facts my dude. DNF definitely isn't great for beginners, if you're playing online. Offline it is a great one to jump into. And honestly same with Strive. Very easy to pick up and get the hang of for casual play, but online will destroy you. It simply is a matter of what people are left playing the game, which is usually die hards who are beast at it. Thankfully if you're willing to go through fire, you'll be able to have lots of fun. Sometimes if you're on the right platform, you might just have a player base at around the same level as you consistently! (BBTAG on Switch has many awesome folks who frequent online play and are awesome.) Also if you're down for any eventual matches in DNF or any other fighters on Switch, maybe we could chat on Discord possibly 😊

@SonOfDracula Honestly I personally disagree. I think with NSO being so much cheaper than other system's online, plus the Switch's dpad being amazing for fighters since it's clicky, it basically is my main fighting game machine.

@LikelySatan It's most likely gonna keep up to date with content updates. Most multiplayer games need to keep their content drops consistent with other consoles or else the other versions aren't gonna be played. It does happen sometimes, but it most happens when itt comes to technical updates, not content.

@Vyacheslav333 Hey man, if you really are hoping for those games to come over, don't let us stop you, but many games run and look just fine in portable mode without any major blurriness or frame rate problems. Plus, DNF is so much more stylized compared to others that I think it can survive a slight resolution drop and still look great. Also you kinda need to take a chill pill dude lol. You can be skeptical about the port, but there isn't a need to be holier than thou out of the gate of an announcement.

@Itachi2099 I feel like if it sold so badly, that they wouldn't put money into a whole new port and a new dlc character along with the balance patch. It has to of done decently well for Nexon and ArcSys to continue support

I'm really glad to see that DNF is not only alive but is actually coming over to Switch. It's a perfect fit for the system and I'm gonna 100% be picking it up

It sucks that these situations keep happening but it's almost hard to not see it coming at this point. Nintendo simply doesn't want to take Smash to the competitive stage, or at least not unless they have the control to do so

Man I have no idea how this got a worse score than Sword and Shield on here. Plus if the game showed promise for the future, then Sonic Frontiers should of gotten a higher score as well. Review scores don't really affect if I'm gonna get a game completely, but pointing out fallacies is a storied past time for me lol

This is great to see. It allows future generations to see these parts of gaming history very easily, and makes historical documentation a lot easier

I love this kind of stuff, especially when there's early artwork included. Design docs are definitely things we gotta see more of because it's probably the most definitive source we can get for a game's ideas

Ok I think the second part gives us an idea of the story. It's probably gonna be somewhat similar to Sonic Heroes. Eggman tries to advance the intelligence of some of his biggest and best creations, but it goes rouge on him and thus it has to be stopped by both parties. Even though it is similar, the concept can definitely be taken into new directions, since Metal Sonic in Heroes was focused more on trying to over take and tried live past him from CD in trying to be the one true Sonic. Still can't wait for Frontiers

I really hope it makes it to Switch because while I like many of the other "clone" contemporaries, they aren't exactly F-Zero. This will fill that void perfectly

I already knew that I was gonna buy the game because it looked great but it's good to see that it's still good for others. Just sad the person I met on here that I was gonna play with kinda left me in the dust out of nowhere. 😔
Also it would of been good to know about the actual single player content in the game. Yes 6 characters isn't the biggest base roster, but there's a whole load of single player offerings as well such as a story mode and a dungeon crawler mode I heard about but isn't mentioned here at all. I would really like to know how those are like as well if the review can be revised a bit

All of this stuff looks great. Only problem is that I already got it digitally and is too expensive for me lmao

I think The Pokemon Company must of had a lot of info they wanted to share about the game but they weren't able to have everything ready in time for something like their Pokemon Presents showcases, so they're just giving us weekly content drops to satisfy us before it comes out

I'm honestly kinda disappointed they didn't make a figure for Rabbid Rosalina and the new Rabbid as well. That would of been cool since Rabbid Mario and Peach already got figures in the previous game

Dunkey only does bangers, so I can only expect bangers from Dunkey's publishing company in the same caliber as Super Mario Bros 2

@wiiware I'm glad it worked out for you! Once I got into traditional fighters in 2021 with Guilty Gear, I got to a point where I wish the dpad felt a bit better because I love clicky dpads a lot for fighters, so I found that and it was a god send. Makes me want to get almost all of my fighters on Switch now

Very odd to see them bring up that it was delisted, but then not saying why it happened. Guess Treasure must of had a problem with the stealth launch?

It getting leaked made it less impactful of an announcement, but really happy to see it out today. Definitely gonna get it eventually

This was easily the worst announcement of the Direct. Nintendo Twitter can complain about rpg's all day, but this has to truly take the cake.I know these games are graphical show pieces, but Revelations ran on the 3DS for gods sake. There could of been a much better way than this

Honestly tons of excitement for the Stadium games and Mario Party 1 and 3 as well as Pilot Wings along with GoldenEye. They all haven't been rereleased so it's great to see them here

@wiiware Nope, you don't need to remove anything from your Joy Con. I got it off of Amazon for only about $10 - $15 by Skull & Co. Legit one of the best $10 purchases for my Switch in my life

Not surprising, as almost all multiplat Switch releases get squished down heavily, mainly because They have so many graphical effects they have to downscale to 720p, along with compressing many other aspects, it's why so many games on Switch can be low in storage

@Vyacheslav333 God speed you beautiful person. I could never play a traditional fighter on analog stick. Makes inputs too imprecise for stuff like double quarter circles and dp's only thing iI use them for from time to time is 360 or 720 motions

@Arawn93 Hell yeah. The Switch has so many amazing looking and playing games that people forget how capable the Switch is. The problem is that so many devs build their games from the highest end platforms and then have to massively down-scale for Switch, when the Switch should be built just as well as the other versions. Also agreed, KOF 13 should be on here, and if it was, I'd be good on a modern KOF for a while lol

@wiiware Honestly I think the Switch dpad is ome of the best ways to control fighters imo. I just got a dpad overlay for my Switch and it feels amazing. Makes me want to get almost all of my fighters on Switch because of that alone (along with me playing on Switch more and cheaper online)
