I'll be honest, even though these are expensive, just Sakurai holding them and showing ot next to the Kirby Smash amiibo gave it so much more scale, because my goodness these things are just full figures at this point, which kinda makes me feel better when they eventually make Susie 🤡
Bro these courses just looks so dynamic and filled with options. There's so many ways it looks like to take this course it almost feels like this is Sonic Riders almost (which now that I say that it makes sense) not mention that how gorgeous the game just looks. Very excited to see what other stages we'll see in the direct
Wow crazy it's already going on such a big sale when the other recent ones have only been for about $60. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're interested. Been playing it a lot lately and have been loving it, even when it's not the usual type that I play. Such an awesome world and characters with just loads of quests and stuff. It's quite great
Probably NSO and modern compilations have been how I've played NES games. NSO has a lot of games but obviously doesn't cover most of the major 3rd party titles due to licensing stuff, so I think I probably have played them both equally. Both have let play a lot of NES games proper finally over the years so I'm very glad many of them have become so accessible
@Zeebor15 Mane6 was a completely different team from the Diesel Legacy, considering both of them had stuff being developed at around the same time. Mane6 got gutted before Diesel got released and as they announced Avatar, and the animation style is much more in line with Diesel than TFH, so I'm more so just assuming that the same team that worked on Diesel is working on this. It's why I'm hoping that TFH could get their story mode finished because I don't think the same team would be working on this after they said they were laid off by Maximum/Modus, unless they were able to get the Mane6 crew back to help on this game after the new publisher got the rights.
I'm very surprised to see this, because for those that don't know fighting games, this was supposed to be published by Maximum Entertainment, and to try and work on this game they decided to gut one of their other fighting games, Them's Fighting Herds, and its devs and left the game in an awful state. They then released Diesel Legacy which just kinda came and went, and somehow, this game got cancelled alongside that, making the entire situation pointless. Now, the company that revived this project also got the rights to TFH and Diesel Legacy, and it seems the Diesel Legacy team is the one that's working on this, so I'm hopeful this game is good but I'm really hopeful they bring back Mane6 to finish TFH's story mode, because that would make me so happy.
Damn the fact they're still supporting DBFZ is crazy. Really awesome though! We may not be getting DBFZ2 but if the game keeps getting supported from time to time like this I think that's awesome! We gotta offset the amount of Goku's we have, eventually...
Surprised to see the Switch 2 version of FF Tactics get this many not only considering 3rd party sales so far on Switch 2 in Japan, but the fact that it has a free upgrade. I guess Game-Key card maybe doesn't matter from what we were made to believe, maybe it was just the games being released on them
I've definitely been looking forward to it since I found out about it Streets of Rage 4 has some of the best beat-em-up combat ever so having Guard Crush continue to iterate on it with more new ideas in a game that looks just as pretty as Streets of Rage 4 is right up my books. Super excited for it to release
It really kinda depends for me. Sometimes I find some games for really good prices and occasionally splurge a bit depending on if I decide to trade in a lot of games or something (a.k.a. this year with Switch 2 and me trading in a bunch of games and buying a lot of used/retro games at my local game store), while other times I'm a bit more stingy and only buy a few in a year, maybe only one
Here I just finish watching the video to get ready to comment that Nintendo is going Pixar with short films, only to see no commenter, but NL themselves beat me to the punch ðŸ˜
@JR150 I mean sure it could of been a marketing get by Sega to try and put their other series in Crossworlds to get more Japanese players, but I don't think it's that. Probably the opposite of both parts with Sega using Sonic to try and get more brand awareness for their personal properties in the US kinda like the All-Stars Racing games. And that's not to say it's not working even. Sonic is so unknown in Japan that if I remember correctly most of his recent games haven't even made the top 10 JP charts in their opening weeks besides Frontiers. So if anything this is a sign of growth, probably just not one we'll see become potentially big until later down the line
Really cool for Hamster to put in Mouse Controls into spinner games like Gee Bee here. Hopefully this means slightly less old games like Arkanoid come because man I respect Hamster for keeping the ACA pricing consistent, but 1978 game costing $10 is crazy.
@JayJ Wouldn't it at 60 fps by definition make it more rough and blurry by making them lower resolutions and textures to make it less demanding? I can understand that 30 fps isn't always the smoothest looking all the time, but I don't think a game constantly jumping between 40-60 would look super clean really
I'm more than fine with 30 fps if it means that the game is stable. It's almost worse when the frame rate gets uncapped and then you notice the stuttering, so probably for the best
@Pat_trick They've been doing this stuff for years without key cards. This has been the path the entire time, and no moaning we do will change it. It's best to use your frustration on things that actually matter more than video games being on a piece of plastic
@GrailUK I'm not even trying to defend the Key Cards themselves, I do think they are inefficient in many aspects, but the amount of people treating something like it as one of the most pressing issues ever, even just in gaming, is so forced and overblown that I'm just trying yo make fun of that
Very surprised to see Bowser retire. Obviously the time he's retiring in is definitely one of where people are getting more and more mad at Nintendo for even the slightest misstep, which obviously I do feel like he did kinda accidentally fall into flaming somewhat, but I feel like this is probably a case of Occam's razor. Hopefully Doug enjoys his retirement, only wish him well. Don't know much about Devon but super cool she gets to be the first female President of NOA! Always great to see more girlbosses in the industry and hopefully she'll do a great job in the following years.
Honestly from what I played of the Switch 1 version in the demo and the open network test it seems like a decent version. Obviously it's visually a bit crunchy for a UE5 game on Switch 1 but that's just kinda to be expected, and it runs at 30 fps, but all other Sonic Racers basically ran at 30 fps on consoles so I don't think it's actually that much of a hinderance at all. Can't vouch for load times on Switch 1 since I played on Switch 2 but I didn't experience really any full hitches in the game play even with the cross worlds transitions (surprised they work as well as they do honestly) so I would say it's probably a good version to get even if not on par with the other consoles, but obviously there's a demo so just make your own opinion instead of just listening to me and the other comments here
I can't lie, I'm definitely excited for this. Is it expensive for the plastic replica? Yes. Is there no like "absolute 10/10 omg this is gonna make me go crazy" games? No. But be honest guys you haven't cared enough to want to try and give these games a fair shot anyways. I've gained a greater appreciation for the library overtime thanks to Jeremy Parrish's Works series and just the fact that these games are cool oddities that I feel like are worth giving a fair chance, even with the additional purchase of the cardboard model even.
Cool little pallette mode but man it made me think they were gonna do a 3D mode for the actual lenses they're releasing. Either which way still gotta play Antonblast eventually. Really enjoyed the demo when I tried it out
It's strange SE is trying to milk out people trying to buy physical but want Switch 2 enhancements when FF Tactics has a free upgrade. I gotta imagine the Switch one versions of their cross gen titles must have much more superior graphics and performance, but Tactics just feels silly for them to exclude probably because there is no real advantages they did to make them want to charge for it.
@N00BiSH Agreed. How can you get mad at the little guy, he's basically perfect looking obviously if it's expensive that sucks, but not the end of the world
I'll be honest I really loved the Direct. I mean obviously there were some eh things related to the stuff that was announced, but I just kinda move on. Galaxy games being expensive? Have them on Wii already. Paid DLC for a lot of titles? Doesn't matter if I feel like the game itself is good on its own imo, especially if a game is already pretty big. No new major announcements? That's just a lie Fire Emblem is a major title even if I haven't fully gotten into the series yet and was really the only realistic answer for a new major entry in a series that could be releasing now from Nintendo's main studios. No 2D Virtual Boy option? That one is honestly a little disappointing but I just appreciate Nintendo brought it back at all and in the silliest but best way possible. People just gotta stop expecting Jesus Christ to return with each Direct because you'll always disappoint yourself. I'm glad with what we got and gave it a 9
@Toastmaster I mean maybe but it didn't feel incomplete without it. It could of been something they thought of later in development that became something a lot more fleshed out to become DLC.
Can't believe they actually did it. And in the most extra funny way possible. I will have to try and get that full stand because my goodness that would be so cool
